...Lots of guests making a big effort to get dressed up, and the hotel an even bigger effort with balloons, singers, photo shoots, outrageous choice of food (Lobster, oysters, beef fillet wellington) with our wine glasses which never seems to empty (A consequence of my fragile head on new years day) :-( After the meal we went for a boogie downstairs with the live band and saw in the new year... Overall we would stay again, a few cosmetic rough edges on the decor but we had value for money, genuinely nice staff in a clean hotel with nice food...

...I did make a suggestion to a member of staff that maybe they could open the sunset bar in the evening, say from 8pm to 11pm with a little background music for us lepers to enjoy our habit, just a thought, we ended going out at night or going to our room to sit on the balcony - Anyway, i've had my say... A nice touch from the hotel on the Sunday as arrived to our room to find a bottle of Cava in an ice bucket as it was my birthday, no prompting from us, they must have picked this up from my passport, so i thank you for that...

...Worth upgrading to junior suite sea view and got given room 1104, unbelievable sea view, huge room, turn down service each night with lindt chocolates (didn't know this was a thing when we booked but made it feel extra special) great balcony, mini bar service with all snacks included the first time and all drinks replenished every 2 days but you get 4 bottles of water each time so plenty to keep you going, gigantic bed. We arrived very late and they had put sandwiches, crisps, fruit and drinks in our room which was very welcomed... A very dated high rise property with updated external areas but old basic 2 star bedrooms, leaky old bathrooms, and terrible loud and awful loud holiday camp style entertainment that keeps the whole hotel up until post midnight every night whether you want it or not... ...We booked a ocean view room with balcony, but after arrival we were taken to a strange and terrible room in the basement, where we can see the major path near the beach... We had to wait for a new room because any others were not available... After three nights we were located in room on sixth floor and that was much better... We didn’t have any key or card to our room, instead we had a bracelet with special chip which allowed us to open a room and pay for drinks (when you don’t have all inclusive)... We can recommend that hotel, especially for older people, who need rest, but you should avoid rooms under ground floor from 050 to 060...

...We stayed in a bungalow room 0019 , the room was a good size, the bathroom was fine but the shower over the bath was a bit difficult to access due to the shower screen. The room had a small balcony and a decking platform with a few steps giving access to a designated sunbed area overlooking the pool... On the downside, Our room was on the lower level, on the same floor as the dining room but there was no direct access to the dinning room that didn't involve climbing quite a few steps (up 19steps to the reception area and then down 19 steps to get to the dining room)... The dining room is small, often when entering the hand sanitizing machine was needing refilled and moved to one side...

Once in the Bungalow was spacious and clean and ideally located next to one of the hotel pools... Room has own balcony and own sun beds directly off the balcony, all be not the quietest of places to relax as had end room next to entertainment speakers (but played some decent and varied music choices so was fine by us) Beach Towel is provided (do have to use the same all of stay) Plenty of sunbeds available around the 4 pools and plenty of tables/chairs at the pool bar (€4 a beer- cashless bar) Hotel restaurant had great selection of food, all excellent quality... Drinks are put onto room tab using wrist fob... Nothing to put off recommending the hotel however...

...Reception pretty modern and presentable... Must admit one of the quietest rooms i have ever stayed in... No scraping of chairs from above of below and no-one shouting as they walk past your room... Fairly basic room and a bit of a tired interior but on the whole pretty clean and it did the job... Food at breakfast and evening meal was buffet type, again great attentive & friendly staff with a really good selection of food and very clean...

Fabulous hotel with lovely staff... The staff had to follow stringent rules, by way of example, if on your first day you stood at the wrong restaurant door, even though it had the sign to say, ‘please wait to be seated’ you were publicly shamed and told to walk around the correct way, only to arrive at the same place... I understand a rule and feel that a more customer focused approach would be to allow the staff to tactfully allow people through and explain the rule for next time... They can ONLY give an ‘all inclusive’ customer the water in a glass, leading to the requirement to balance 3 full plastic glasses of water on your head to return to your sun lounger to pour into your insulated (to keep it chilled) water bottle... The staff are super friendly and do their best, the location is great...

...Make sure you get the WiFi code and password at check in and that you understand how to use the hotel app to book meals as all evening meals need to be booked before 17.00 each day... Bus station about 15 minute walk away, get a "10 Plus" card that costs 2 euros from the information desk at the station... You can then load this card at bus stations with the money for your journeys... This lasts 5 years and entitles you to almost half price fares, tell driver how many people are traveling and where you want to go, just tap card on the reader in front of driver as you get on and tap again at the exit door as you get of the bus... We were asked for our passports and told to sit until our name was called... There were five people working behind reception all shifting paper, using computers, shuffling passports etc but we were told it would be a few more minutes wait each time we asked... This was a very poor start to the hotel experience and management need to rectify this... However in the 14 nights that followed all the reception staff were very pleasant, helpful and professional...

On arriving we had to wait for ages after handing in our passports to check in, noticed someone else has mentioned this and management think it was an isolated occasion, we can vouch it was not isolated... He was polite, efficient and suggested drinks if we needed ideas. He worked so much quicker than all the other bar staff put together.Thats most of the negatives out of the way.The positives outweighed the negatives, the buffet restaurant , The Mirador at lunchtime was fabulous, the tasting session was great too.Entertainment overall was good, depending on your tastes, played Boules on the beach most days and was lovely meeting fellow holidaymakers from around the globe...

But for us the thing that makes this hotel stand out from others, is the friendliness and warmth of it's staff... From the waiting staff in the restaurants and bars to Marina, one of the hotel managers, they go above and beyond... A special mention to breakfast crepe maker Yessica who took the time to put little messages on our son's crepes each morning and Fernando, one of the bar waiters, who always stopped what he was doing to high five our son... Hot and cold plates were there for those with either preference for hot or cold meals but whilst we were there the buffet food trays were cold resulting in chilled hot meals and on more than one occasion food was actually served cold straight from the kitchen... (Complaint raised and eventually sorted that night) Staff were kept on their toes and patience was sometimes needed to get served restaurant drinks and similarly in the entertainment rooms... Fair credit to reception and pool bar lads and lasses as they did their best with smiles and chat on each visit... ...The breakfast and lunch were also great, quick mention for the crepe maker, very tasty and nice and smiley. We were all inclusive and feel we really did get our moneys worth with cocktails etc at the pool bar were great... There was plenty sun beds and the hotel operates a non “reserving” policy which means you can’t come down at 6am and put your towels down and return to bed, get breakfast etc which some people might not like but we found it much more fair... This led to less of a stress about getting up at 9 and heading for breakfast then back to the room for towels and still be almost guaranteed a poolside sun bed... ...We stayed half board privilege On arrival everything was faultless but after that sadly standards have slipped and care to food allergies was remarkable below standards to what you expect from a 4 star hotel with an a `la carte restaurant. The two nights we went to main entertainment the service was very slow for a drink... the quickest i got to place an order was 25mins... My wife is now vegan due to allergies this was emailed across to them and was told just let us know on the arrival... The staff seemed clueless and puzzled even after filling there cards out and translating... In all the times we used the restaurant not once did myself get offered vegetables... Then we spoke to the customer service woman Maria and she said she was vegetarian, surely they could come up with something better than nuggets and even a burger... But we had to ask for a room to change in and after 4 hours asked surely after paying for privilege we should be able to use the lounge... Its a great location with a few staff members who work hard and understand its more than writing an order out... The lad on sunset area with the cocktails your a credit to the hotel likewise the woman in mikes café... Would I use an H10 hotel again yes, Would i use Gran Tenerife NO... Please highlight clearly what is in the ingredients as your waiters/waitresses are unsure...

The hotel is a perfect location for all attractions, there are a number of pools and bars- all with lovely pleasant staff who get to know your usual drinks orders very quickly... Special shout out to Pedro at the sunset bar... We done all inclusive and it was certainly worth it!... The biggest stand out for us though was the entertainment team- dani and his staff do an incredible job and make you feel so welcomed by speaking various languages and remembering your name after only telling them once... ...This is by far the friendliest hotel I have ever been to. All the staff smile and are willing to help you with anything you need... The entertainment team do everything they can to make you feel included and welcome in the events, if you want to take part... There are shows every night, games and activities in the day and they are always up for a laugh, a chat and a dance... available throughout the day as well as breakfast, luch and dinner... The bar staff are very helpful and knowledgeable... The drinks are all branded and top quality, including lots of cocktails... There are lots of bars around the hotel, so a drink is never far away... The hotel is well kept, clean and stylish... It is right on the sea, but secure and private and only a 15 minute walk from Siam Park... A two minute walk in any direction takes you to bars and restaurants, aplenty... There are plenty of sun loungers by the several pools and no rush in the morning... If people leave their towels before 10, the hotel staff move them off the loungers, meaning everyone can enjoy breakfast and still get a spot by the pool... In summary I couldn't reccomend this hotel more... It was the perfect place to enjoy my honeymoon...

What can you say about this hotel, it was absolutely amazing from the time you walked in the doors until the time you left, nothing was to must trouble for any of the staff if you needed anything or asked a question. we were on the 5th floor and faced the sea the views were amazing, the maids were excellent, and rooms were always spotless... we were in a superior room fridge & coffee were always topped up it was nice t sit on balcony with coffee or drink before going to dinner in the evening... Plenty of food and very good choice...

...The room was big, quiet and cool however and the bed very comfortable. All the communal areas to be excellent - the outdoor areas were immaculately landscaped and the choice of pools was fantastic, all with plenty of sunbeds (which is a big bonus compared to some hotels)... There was a good selection of bars and terraces and all were pleasant... We really enjoyed the food, especially the breakfast - there was plenty of choice of dishes and the restaurant area was nicely done out... Almost all of the staff we encountered were friendly, helpful and very efficient, and really seemed to care about making sure guests had a pleasant experience...

Myself and my husband stayed for our 2 week honeymoon and I can't explain how great it was!... Not only is the location perfect but I couldn't fault the hotel at all, clean, modern, delicious food and drinks... I can't recommend the food enough theres something for everyone and themed nights... The cleaning staff do a great job and always say hello in the hallway, reception, bar staff and waiters are all so helpful polite and attentive... I've never been to a hotel with more on not only is there live entertainment every night but also in the day, you could take a fitness class or play archery or rifle shooting, and if you dont want to take part the team will happily sit and chat with you!... And every Wednesday there is a big night and a pool party featuring dancers, fire breathers and a DJ!... If you want an adults only holiday with friends, family or as a couple ....seriously look no further... A big thank you to everyone for making our honeymoon so fantastic!...

...This place is so relaxing that it feels just like home. We booked a junior suite with a sea view and a large balcony, complete with padded sun loungers... They provide many activities throughout the day and excellent entertainment acts each evening, as well as games, quizzes, and themed nights to provide a really fun stay... He and his team work very hard to include every guest and to make their stay memorable...

...The hotel is a perfect location for all attractions, there are a number of pools and bars- all with lovely pleasant staff who get to know your usual drinks orders very quickly. Special shout out to Pedro at the sunset bar... Additionally, the food was great and gave you plenty to choose from, including vegetarian options... We done all inclusive and it was certainly worth it!... The team definitely let you make special holiday memories with archery, rifle shooting, water polo, ping pong… the list goes on!... They also provide night time entertainment so half the time we didn’t feel the need to leave the hotel... It was great to have a choice of relaxing or getting involved!... We would certainly go back here with no hesitation...

...We stayed in privilege room which was lovely. The greeting we got when arriving was great, showed around the hotel and advised what went on... Room was large, great balcony with sea view, large walk in shower, lovely wardrobe and huge bed... Outside was amazing, no getting up to reserve sun beds plenty for all, you could go out any time of day and find somewhere to lay... Entertainment, well what can I say, Dani and the team were great, had so much fun... The archery, shooting and pool parties were fab as was the music around the pool during the day... ( for the environment I guess) Food was plentiful, you could always find something to eat... Reception staff, bar staff all really nice...

My husband and I are just back from a 10 night stay in H10 Gran Tinerfe. We stayed all inclusive in an upgraded room with a sea view and balcony. When we arrived the hotel staff were very friendly, greeted us with a welcome drink and went through how the hotel works. We got our room key (band on our wrist) and went off to our room. The room was spacious and immaculate. We had the mini bar as part of our upgrade which was refilled every day. The room was cleaned well and all things that were needed towels, toilets rolls etc replaced everyday. They have 3 restaurants, the restaurant we ate at was there a la carte buffet restaurant. Every time you entered to eat you are greeted by friendly staff and they take your drink order. Their food is beautiful and had nice choice. Even being a buffet choice it was very tasty and good variety. The other 2 hotel restaurants are their ‘fancier restaurants’ and only opened a few days in the week when we were there. An Italian and a taster menu restaurant. We hired towels for our stay to take to the pool. There are 3 pools and a jacuzzi and loved them all. There is a pool bar that’s served snacks and drinks and plentiful loungers, we never struggled to get loungers but we were there in November. Even being their winter season there was good entertainment, there was things like archery, table tennis and shooting and plenty more everyday with their excellent team. Our room was directly on the floor where the sunset chill terrace is situated and it was heaven (see pics). It can be noisy cuz of all the music but that includes local pubs but it was ok for me and my husband as we mainly sat out on our balcony and took it all in. We have came back (to snow in Scotland lol) very relaxed and with a healthy glow. I would highly recommend this hotel, their staff and facilities are wonderful and will be booking up again at one point in the future.

Hotel's Favorite
From the moment we stepped inside the H10 Gran Tinerfe we were blown away and knew we were going to love the holiday, and we were proved right. As we walked up the steps the concierge came straight out and took our cases, asked our name and went to reception to let them were there. They then knew we were privilege and we were greeted by Marina, who is fantastic at her job, and deserves a lot of credit, with a cold glass of cava for us she then explained everything to us in good detail, and then she showed us around, which is a lovely touch. As we arrived there at midday, the room, understandably wasn't ready. The hotel stored our cases, while we went for lunch, exploring more and taking in the sea air. Once we were able to check in, our cases were then brought to the room for us. I have to be honest, I wasn't overly impressed with the allocated room, as a "privilege" room it wasn't anything special, so we went to reception to see about about an upgrade and if anything was available... fortunately they had a Junior Suite available for our 10 night stay, so I paid the extra and upgraded. We were all inclusive with privilege and without a shadow of doubt this is 100% worth it, loved the privilege area with with the bali beds as these were in the shade and I'm not a sun worshiper so perfect, and the bar you can help yourself too, but for me the biggest bonus was being able to dine, breakfast, lunch & dinner in the À la carte restaurant El Mirado, at no extra cost, and bottled wine, the staff were brilliant and the food was great, we did venture into the buffet a couple of times and it was "ok" but just the usual Spanish buffet you get at an AI. I do want to mention the smoking as a smoker myself I try to find out the do's and don't's before hand. They have quite a number of smoking areas, one by the tennis court, both the chill out and sunset bar, and in the privilege area, so for me that's more than adequate, and you can smoke on your balcony, I wasn't sure as there's not an ash tray out there, but you just ask at reception and they'll bring one to your room. The animation team were second to none, absolutely the best, they all get mentioned all the time on Trip Advisor and it's well deserved, we pretty much tried all the "games" darts, pool, riffle shooting, archery, table tennis all great fun even if you loose... loved Yasmin, the happiest person in the world, and nicknamed my hubby Sparkly, great character. The foam pool party was just brilliant, made me feel in my 20's again but that's what great, if your 20 or 70 it's what you make it, one of the highlights of the 10 days. This was our first visit to Tenerife, and I personally don't feel it's all that it's hyped up to be... but, our stay at H10 Gran Tinerfe was that good, it will be the reason we return to the island. Thank you H10 team fro a great holiday.

Been to this hotel many times staying in Privilege Part of the hotel. The Hotel is perfectly situated for lovely coastal walks with cafes. Our experience this time left a great deal to be desired. Booked in at Privilege desk told we have a lovely refurbished room. Our room was sea front but NOT a Privilege to stay in. The dressing table was on a slant and all badly chipped as indeed were the bedside cabinets . The shower floor was chipped. The food in the restaurant was very "hit and miss" One evening we walked out. Did complain at the time about our room but nothing was done. Did complain at the time about the quality of food and the next night things were better but it didn't last. I do not know what the other part of the hotel is like so cannot comment BUT we certainly will not return. PRIVILEGE IS VERY EXPENSIVE AND IN OUR PERSONAL OPIONION NOT WORTH THE EXTRA.

Not a great first impression when we arrived at 21.30. The hotel reception was very busy, with many other guests arriving at the same time. We were immediately rushed into the main buffet restaurant to get some food before it closed at 22.00. This was not for our benefit but to get us out of the way as it was so busy. As a result, we had no real welcome and no welcome drinks on arrival even though we were on the all-inclusive privilege package. After having a bite to eat, we went to check in but reception was still very busy. Although we used online hotel check-in this did not speed things up as they seemed to be unfamiliar with the online check-in process. After a long wait, we were eventually checked in but we were left to take our cases up to our room which was surprising as we were all inclusive privilege guests. In the morning we appreciated our sea view room, the room was clean but small, with mini bar, welcome fruit, snacks and a bottle of red wine and sparkling water. The bathroom was clean and well equipped. We had Privilege logo gowns, slippers, and towels for our use. The hotel has four bars, but they all have limited opening hours. It seemed like two out of the four were always unmanned. There is a very nice coffee shop, spa, hair salon and the typical hotel lobby holiday shop. It has three pools and a small gym. There are three restaurants but one of them is only open on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. As Privilege guests we had access to The Privilege Lounge which led on to a sun terrace with a jacuzzi, Bali beds and sun loungers. The lounge was stocked with drinks for self-service, but they did not stock cranberry juice or peach schnapps. Light snacks/nibbles were provided twice a day, but they were very basic and not particularly tasty. The pool bar also sells a variety of ice lollies but we were surprised that, as we were all inclusive Privilege guests we also had to pay for them. There is also a tennis court but, again, everyone including all inclusive Privilege guest have to pay 10.euros to use it. Also, the next morning after our arrival, we requested a late checkout on our room or the use of any other room as we had a late flight out but they said they were fully booked so could not offer us any room. They simply said we could book a slot for the use of a shower so yet again, we were disappointed that all inclusive Privilege guests were not given the privilege of a late check out with use of a room. I would say don’t waste your money on all inclusive privilege as there was nothing privilege about it than on any of the other privilege packages.

Loved it here. Will be back if I can. Service is impeccable everywhere. Entertainment was great. Didn't eat there though. Just breakfast. Their signature drinks were great. Would rate it a 10. Breakfast was good. Spa and Beauty shop were great too. Hubby had a massage. I had the works at the salon. Reasonably priced and good work done. Back to the drinks ...you have to order a Sweet Lola drink at the bar. YUM!

Positive points,,,hotel was clean. Plenty of sunbeds and they were patrolled by the towel police. I'm afraid the negatives outweighed the Positives. Food was very basic to say the least, lots of recycling going on, Breakfast was very good, lunch not bad but very limited choice then there was dinner, school canteen was a very good description. Labelling was a joke, one description was assorted meats stew, If you wanted a desert you could have profiteroles with different coloured icing on top or 4 trays of pastries with different coloured icing on top, some kind of pudding with a digestive biscuit sat on top. No gateaux no nothing. We sat outside after dinner and the bar was supposed to close at 11.00 but each evening it closed earlier and earlier and we were told by a very grumpy bar supervisor to go to another bar. Bar staff needs training, we often got the wrong drinks served also I asked for a few cocktails only to be told they didn't know how to make them. No bar menu to let you know which ones they did know how to make. The music round the pool and pool bar was so loud we couldn't have a conversation. It seemed that the bar staff played the music for themselves as they boogie around. Was really looking forward to this holiday, unfortunately it was a massive disappointment. Certainly not a cheap holiday. No wouldn't return at half the price.

Loved this hotel and the Privilege option and stayed here quite a number of times. However I am a smoker and the hotel has changed its policy. They have banned smoking by the privilege sunbeds and on the terrace and instead have an area by the far exit door (25m away) to the street or the external front area adjacent to the road. However both areas are not undercover and it continually rained for 3 1/2 days and nights. Good choice of food and drinks and a lovely sea view room but will not willingly get soaked having a cigarette so will not return.

Dear guest, Thank you very much for taking the time to write this review and above all for your loyalty throughout this time. We are happy to know that you enjoy our privilege service, room and gastronomic offer. We are very sorry that you do not share our policy on smoking within the facilities. My husband and I stayed for a long weekend. Booked B&B but got upgraded to half board with Jet2. Apologies in advance for the long review! But in short - we’d stay again. Only reason for knocking a ‘star’ off was the state of the upstairs corridor carpet - it’s really not good enough for such a lovely hotel Accommodation: We were on floor 2, overlooking the front car park and road. The morning recycling, workers and air con units beneath us were loud but you couldn’t hear them with the window closed and we were out all day. We only used the lifts on the first and last days, for the cases, because they were quite slow but we’re fit enough to use the stairs. The room was lovely.and a good size. Two beds pushed together to make a huge one. Bathroom had a massive shower which was decent. There’s a mini bar and snacks that needs paying for but we were left a free bottle of water. Air con was really cold and we’d often knock it off. We would definitely stay in this room again, especially as the rooms overlooking the sea (opposite side of the hotel could pick up the noise from the sunset bar and terraces. Sunday night there was a DJ playing very loud music at the bar and I’d have hated to be overlooking it. I’ll take ‘quiet and no view’ over ‘beautiful view but noisy’ any time. The corridor carpet outside our room (201 for any management that are reading) is in desperate need of replacing. Huge bleach(?) stains outside room doors and a horrid brown stain in the middle at one point. These weren’t small, and probably spread over an area of at least 30ft. You couldn’t miss them. It looked like they’d been trying to clean them but ruined them instead. It definitely wasn’t in keeping with the rest of the hotel. The stair carpet was a grungy green/brown colour but that could’ve been new - who knows? Reception area/bar was nice to chill in with views of one of the pools and the staff were very friendly. Welcome drink on arrival. It was down another wide flight of stone stairs to the restaurant and other facilities like a shop, salon and entertainment and the pools. Then another flight down to go out of the rear door to the prom and beach. The sunset bar overlooking the beach is also on the ground floor. Service could be slow so we ended up going to the reception bar and taking our drinks outside at one point Restaurant: our intention was to eat dinner in the resort outside but the range of food was so substantial and good quality that we ended up staying there (you had to pre book a table). I had paella twice and my husband had a range of other things. At both breakfast and dinner it’s a buffet (unless you’re a higher status) but the range of food at both blew my mind. There were also stations where you could get freshly cooked eggs, omelettes or crepes. On our last morning we ate on the terrace which was lovely. The staff are so friendly and quick at clearing your table. We did have to grab their attention to get a drink at dinner though €4.40 a pint which isn’t extortionate. I tried a glass of white once but wasn’t keen. I like pinot Grigio but got a funny look when I asked about one - it’s white, red or rosey basically. Same for outside the hotel so I overheard. Pool: there are 3 pools, one was heated but as it was tucked away we didn’t use it. The other two are really cold but you’d acclimatise once you were in. You can’t reserve beds before 10am - a pool attendant would walk around, removing towels and leaving them with a laminated notice on a table. We actually had a couple approach us in the afternoon, thinking we’d stolen their beds and towels because they’d left them there early and gone off for the day. We pointed them in the direction of a table behind us. There were usually beds to be had tucked away somewhere if you didn’t go early. The pool bar was handy for drinks and snacks like sandwiches. My husband made a good point that it would be better for the pools to be smaller to provide more room for beds (there were spare stacked up but not sure where they’d put them). The most I saw at any one time in the pool were about 6 people and they’re big pools. Very pretty but a waste of space On arrival, everyone is given a wristband with a chip in it. Different colours denote different status. These bands are used to enter your room and exit the rear door on the prom. You also load them with money at reception and use them to pay for drinks/food in the hotel/pool bar. These bands worked well when you needed to pay but were awful when trying to open your bedroom door. We’d both have to swipe them at least 5 times before it eventually worked and we could see other residents doing the same I loved the fact that the hotel was literally on the prom opposite a beach and there were several other beaches all along the prom. Because of the wristband we didn’t need to take valuables and could just plonk a towel on the sand for a quick dip in the sea (which was warmer than the pool). The prom goes in both directions and there are loads of bars and restaurants, we wouldn’t have gone all inclusive because it’s so cheap to eat and drink outside. Between €1-2 for a pint of lager and I particularly liked the sangria and pina coladas. Beware of what passes as tapas - we tried one place on the front and it was disgusting There’s a supermarket next door (to stock up on those massive packets of Lays that us Brits love) The general demographic when we went was about 95% over 70 from what we could see, which might explain the lifts being busy. It’s not a lively, young and buzzing hotel so if you’re looking for that, you should avoid. It’s mainly retirees. But we didn’t mind, we like quiet hotels. There are even mobility scooters to rent outside the front door There was an entertainment team and events but they weren’t pushy and left you alone The icing on the cake was that it’s one of Jet2’s ‘resort check in’ hotels. On the morning of our departure we just had to take our cases to a pop-up Jet2 stand outside the front door and ‘check in’ our luggage. It wasn’t weighed but it got tagged and taken away by the reps. We were then free to roam until our transfer bus came. The next time we saw our cases was back at Bristol airport. I’ve never heard of this so was dubious but it was so easy and meant we could just go straight to security with our hand luggage and passports

Excited to be returning after 7 months, our expectations unfortunately were not met from day 1! Having booked an all inclusive superior room with a sea view package via Jet2, we were given a side room with only a partial sea view, after complaining we were advised the hotel was full and the room could not be changed until tomorrow. We had to endure being unable to unpack for a full 24 hours until after our new room allocation. Asking for some compensation in essence of losing a day's enjoyment of our holiday and being "loyal customers" , this being our third visit in 14 months, we were informed they had other loyal customers too who returned 9 or more times so implied we were not valued. Requesting to see the reception duty manager to discuss this matter was met with refusal by her but at last a "promise" was verbally given by the receptionist for a bottle of presecco which would be sent to our room later but which we never recieved! Our new room at least had a full seaview, a better standard of decor and a larger android television. Staff personnel with whom we'd formed friendships with were no longer there, noticeably in the bar and restaurant areas. New young trainees were largely present most of the time, who with a few exceptions seemed to be under duress and seemed anxious in their duties, appearing maybe to be under trained or lacking supportive supervision. There was one outstanding trainee Kenia who showed real passion , professionalism and enthusiasm in her role serving drinks to customers' tables . During our week stay she informed us she had "passed" her grades to keep her job, deservably so, make sure you keep her H10 she's very good! Again it's the customer facing staff who are making this hotel appealing, like Kenia, also Mateo (an excellent barista when in Mike's coffee shop and otherwise serving drinks) and Mauri a temporary addition to the animation team who has tremendous energy and committment for the role too! With Danni leading his full animation team of Nerea, Ruben and Yasmin long may they remain keeping us amused and challenged with the varied programme of activities. Some of the evening entertainment was not of the standards seen in April, with newer solo artists being favoured to perform. Old favourites like Enigma acrobatics, Soul and Crunch ensured a satisfactory standard was achieved however. The standard and range of vegetarian food choices on offer were also limited at times. Concluding it would appear cracks are beginning to show in H10 Gran Tinerfe's image as it noticeably tries to cut costs. Don't go too far though or it may lose other "loyal" customers who like us see these changes and can compare them to the better times.

-We booked 4 rooms for 5 nights half board in November 2023. Rooms were at the rear with a lot of noise from cooling engines day and night. -All meals must be reserved, even with half board. Because we did not know in advance how the day would go, we only ate on site once (dinner) even though we paid half board. The last evening we had a reservation in one of the specialty restaurants, Mirador. Before going to the restaurant we ordered an aperitif in the bar. Because it took a while before we received the ordered drinks, I politely asked the restaurant if we could come a little later. This was not possible. When I asked to take the ordered aperitif to the restaurant, the answer was also a firm no. We canceled the entire reservation and had a nice dinner elsewhere. -Safe must be paid for. -Air conditioning only makes noise and wind, no cooling.
