To start of I’ll discuss the positives regarding this hotel. The hotel itself is very nice and clean - the maids clean the room to a perfect standard every day and the hotel is very spacious and clean. The rooms are big and practical. Most of the staff are very friendly and helpful. Finally, there is always space at the pool to get a sun lounger. There are many negatives that need to be discussed. Firstly the location of the hotel is not as a lot of previous reviews state. If you are looking for a quiet break then this would be perfect however if you are looking for things to do then you must get a taxi. Me and my partner spend nearly £200 in taxis in ten days as there is nothing really to do near the hotel. The hotel runs a free bus service to las americas which is helpful however tickets are limited which is a bonus but not a long run solution as there is only four buses there at certain times and coming back is a nightmare you would be as well to get n taxi. Even to get into the centre of adeje or near restaurants or bars etc you would need to get a taxi otherwise it’s a 30-40 min walk. Next, the food situation. Breakfast was fine to be fair however, the dinner options are very limited. The food is not as I would except from previous stays in other h10 hotels. There is hundreds of fish and sea food options and that is really it. If you don’t like seafood or are a child who is maybe fussy then there’s nothing to eat other than a plate of chips which is ridiculous after spending so much money to go half board or all inclusive. There is live entertainment on every single night in the hotel until 11/11:15 and the rooms have no sound proof at all so there is loud thumping every single night so if you want an early night or have kids then this hotel is not for you. When arriving at the hotel it is clear that you are excluded for many aspects of the hotel unless you are “priveledged”. Therefore if you are bed and breakfast or half board you cannot access the hotels special restaurant, certain parts of the beach front, a full infinity pool that previous reviews would lead you to believe you had access to this. This makes you feel very excluded and unwelcome when you’ve spent so much money you expect to recieve most services however you aren’t treated with the same manner as those who are privileged. Overall I feel firstly that this hotel is not suitable for children. Furthermore the distance of this hotel from the centre of adeje with restaurants and bars is a little far meaning that you need to spend a fortune on taxis or spend lots of time waking so if you are looking for a quiet holiday this is perfect however, if you want to go out for nice dinners, nightlife, bars etc then I would not recommend this hotel. In conclusion this was a very expensive visit and we expected a lot more but it seems this hotel just want to money grab at every opporunity.

We had heard a lot of good reports about this hotel from friends and Trip Advisor reviews so after many years doing bed and breakfast at several hotels in Costa Adeje decided to go all inclusive here. As Grand Class Club H10 members we requested and got the specific room we were looking for which was a good start and checking in was easy with very helpful and attentive staff. The concierge took our luggage and showed us to our room. He was later very helpful in getting us logged on to the internet, which others had had a similar problem. The two main attractions for us were the excellent food at all meals and the amount of space around the outside pools, bars and restaurants plus no need to reserve sun beds. The hotel is in a quiet location by the sea with bars, shops and restaurants opposite reasonably priced. The weather was outstanding, often the case mid March onwards. The hotel was kept exceptionally clean by attentive staff. A multi national clientele, which was nice and added to the atmosphere. This was certainly superior to other H10 Hotels we have stayed at . The piano bar provided the best entertainment for us as you could listen but at the same time have conversation. Again the bar staff were very efficient and friendly. We shall definitely book to go back again next year

Myself and my husband are H10 Club members - Costa Adeje Palace is the 3rd H10 resort we have visited. Unfortunately, it will now be the last. We stayed on the all inclusive package in July with 2 other couples. We stayed in a Junior Suite, overlooking the sea, for 7 nights. There were some fantastic bits about our stay: - The rooms were a good size, light & airy - The food has a fantastic range and is of a good quality. Things never ran out and it was constantly refreshed. - The drinks list is extensive with a good choice of premium drinks. - Some of the staff were amazing (shout out to Santiago who was always fun and a brilliant bar man) - The choices of 2 a la carte restaurants was great and the food & service exceptionally good - There were building works going in during our stay to rooms nearby. The works were done at reasonable times and were completely cleaned up at the end of every day. Too often there are complaints about building works at hotels, but I think this hotel did a really good job of maintaining standards without upsetting guests. - The spa was really good, the prices reasonable and the treatments were a high standard. The staff were really good and helpful. However there were a few dampeners which take this review down from a 5 to 3 stars: - As a party of 6, spaces to sit together were rare in the restaurant. On our first night we pulled 2 tables together but were then refused to be served as the restaurant manager doesn’t allow 2 tables to be pushed together. She wouldn’t elaborate as to why this rule exists. I suggested we then separate the tables that evening and she said she will still refuse to serve us because she knows that when she leaves we would try to sit together again....Quite frankly it was bizarre. We were allowed to have the tables together that night as a one off. We complained at the main service desk the next day and were told it’s for security reasons and we have to eat at opening or closing only. We then opted to eat at closing every day and were able to get a table. Not ideal. - The hotel hosted a wedding on the Friday night which meant both outside bars were out of action for paying guests. Extremely disappointing. The hotel claimed they had made it clear, but I did not see any of the signs they claimed to have put out. Frustrating that we paid for a night of all inclusive use at the hotel but were essentially limited to the inside bar only. - Some of the staff are rude! The restaurant manager and the main check-in lady would really get quite arsey, the check in lady actually rolled her eyes at us when we were trying to check in. A waiter got irritated when I asked for the wine list. - The large tables for groups outside in the restaurant had a severe mould problem. It looks like the underside of a well used bath mat. Big patches of black spots everywhere. Honestly I think it’s a health hazard and the restaurant manager was well aware as we were sat at the table when she changed the table cloth. So overall a good holiday, but not what you’d expect from a 4 star hotel, particularly because of the poor attitude of some members of staff.

This is a four star hotel, taking this into consideration it was an average experience and I would mark it 2.5 out of 5. Having traveled to Tenerife as a group of six, we chose the Costa Adeje H10 hotel as the best option hotel for us, providing us with a great location and good amenities throughout the hotel. I have both positive and negative points to raise of which the overall summary is to say, I would not visit again. Having said that, it wasn’t a bad experience either. Good points: There are several, the all-inclusive measures of drinks where very generous on the whole, the location was fantastic and our room was cleaned daily (to a good/great standard). We had an issue with a door not locking due to a broken bracket on day 1, this was fixed in under 10 minutes (can’t complain about that! Fantastic service in that department). There were renovations taking place in rooms adjacent to ours, but it has to be said, this was done in a sensitive fashion with noise kept to a minimal level, big thumbs up to those workmen/workwomen. We had asked for the three rooms (two junior suits and one standard room) to be close together, which they were almost all next to each other. The a la carte restaurants were fantastic, especially the Japanese one (if you decide to go to this hotel, do try this restaurant). There was a kids entertainment section to the evening entertainment (not useful to my party, but the kids seemed to enjoy it) – did seem to be held quite late mind, but I don’t have children so maybe 20:30 is normal for these things to be taking place? The booking system for the A la carte restaurants was done through a touch screen, very quick and efficient and gives you a receipt telling you the time, even if included within your price, so it was very easy to do. The hotel can organise an appointment with a local bike shop to arrange bike hire (10 euros for a normal bike or 20 euros for a mountain bike per day). The beach is a black stoney beach with some pretty impressive waves if you like body boarding, certainly worth a trip if you go and lifeguards are in the area keeping an eye on things. The waves can be pretty big though, so make sure you are happy with being thrown about near the shore! There is also an independent bar on the beach, which seemed nice (I didn’t go though). There is parking for some cars if you hire a car - there are some great beaches which are sand based near by - look up turtle bay costa adeje (I didn't see a turtle, but its a fantastic swim!) Bad points: Unfortunately, there were a few issues that came up over the course of the one week we stayed over various matters. Day 1 we came across a large cockroach in our room almost immediately (not fantastic, but these things happen), no apology from the staff when mentioned during a later complaint it has to be said though. In the evening of day 1 we went to the restaurant, where no tables of six were available, rather than causing a fuss, we pulled two small tables together and sat to have our dinner, the waiting staff flat out refused to serve us as this was not acceptable apparently. We spoke to the restaurant manager, who was a rather rude and abrupt lady, who said that it was not allowed and that we would not be served, and to either come at 19:00 straight away when the restaurant opens to get a table, or 22:00 before they close, we stuck up for ourselves and were told that we could stay as we were for ‘tonight only’. Having raised the matter with the complaints manager in the morning, she was indifferent and told us it was a ‘security risk’ which seems very strange as it actually created more space around us, perhaps the tables were placed in the traffic calming fashion to stop hordes of people running to get food?, but it seemed a poor excuse for not having enough tables to sit a group of six, when a table of four were sitting at a table for 10… anyway, moving on… The door to the corridor appeared to be made of paper as you could literally hear anyone outside the room, more of a frustration than a complaint, but the room did appear very secure, so no worries about that one. As our stay was to be 11 weeks before my wedding, we had planned out a couple of evenings as ‘boy’ and girl’ nights out, not a stag and hen as such, but more just time apart to do what each of us wanted. However, on the Friday evening of our stay the Pool bar was closed for a wedding, which I wouldn’t have considered an issue if we had been informed on check in, or even through a note in our door, as we could have arranged our nights out to co-inside with this. But we were not aware until we went outside to enjoy the lovely Spanish 27 degree evening weather to find we were told we could not use the bar as it was for a wedding party who had booked it. This seemed rather annoying as we had paid our price for the hotel and they had removed use of the outside bar and told us to sit inside in a function room and use the bar there. Not really what anyone wants to do when you come from the UK with its variable weather. Upon making a complaint the following morning, I was pretty much told it was my fault for not knowing, as the information had been put in the lift, somewhere on the main reception desk and on the privilege desk too… I had three valid points; 1) our room was one floor below reception so used the stairs every time, I don’t need the lift and didn’t realise it was a form of notice board, 2) I wasn’t a privilege member so had no reason to go to that desk, 3) Why would I need to go to reception, I had my room key?. The managers response was indifferent and said it was on the main notice board too, I had a look at that and it didn’t seem to be at all when we checked the evening entertainment each day… The manager also informed me that the other bar was open next to the beach, which when we looked appeared also to be for wedding guests only. There was no apology, no offer of reconciliation and no interest that it had spoilt a night entirely! The same evening as the above, an entirely new rule, not enforced or even mentioned before had been created, 1 drink per person, per room, every 15 minutes at most. This is a little bit of a joke if you order a water and a beer at once to save the queue but get told you are not allowed that as that would be two drinks. Either enforce that from the start, or don’t just make that up on the night because you don’t have enough staff on service. Finally, although some staff members were amazing, friendly and banterous (in a good way), some were just damn right rude, including those above, there were a few occasions, where we were ignored or told to “Just hang on” then ignored entirely whilst waving hands at us (we had very politely just asked for a coffee for the first time at this point). This isn’t true of all staff, as some are truly lovely and deserve a great deal of thanks for bringing this hotel from a poor to a medium review. So if you are thinking of making a complaint here, don’t bother the evening you are having the issue, they will tell you to wait for 9:00, when the correct staff member is there to talk to, they will not address the problem, apologise or even appear sympathetic, but rather blame you for not knowing. What really irritated me that evening was that they had taking our money in the form of our all-inclusive holiday and a wedding booked, meaning we couldn’t use that of which we had paid for, but they made extra profit on top (no drinks drunk but also extra drinks paid for and the wedding fee). One last point, there was mould under the table cloth on the larger round tables at the restaurant, do check before you sit down, I would hate for anyone to get ill from this, I certainly felt ill after seeing it and smelling it (smells like sick), the staff saw it when replacing the table cloth but did nothing about it, we did mention it on the way out so it may have been sorted, but i some what doubt it. I hope that helps you grasp an idea of the experience I had here, it had good and bad points, overall it was an alright hotel, an experience which was alright overall, but I wouldn’t go back.

After arriving with 2 kids we first got a room with seaview that was noisy because of the disco in front. After having spoken to the desk people they immediately gave us a very nice room with seaview in the quiet area of the hotel. Thanks for this intervention, appreciate being listened to.
