The hotel is beautiful, we got an all inclusive booking (which is recommended). Excellent view, amazing location and the food is delicious! The stuff is warm and polite people that they are always there for you! ! Everyone is wearing a mask, there are antiseptic liquids everywhere and the whole experience felt so safe. An extra plus that we appreciated is: Iberostar provides an insurance in case you get sick from COVID while you visiting, that way we felt even safer with the current covid situation. Our whole experience in the Iberostar Anthelia was amazing and I will definitely recommend it!!!

We were moved here due to the Sabilla Adults only being closed. I was a bit apprehensive due to the fact it allowed children but that all disappeared as soon as we walked through the doors! The reception check in was swift and staff very attentive. Our kids had booked a superior suite sea view as a gift and our cases were swiftly taken to our room. WOW just WOW the view was amazing with 2 balconies to sit on watching the sun set in the evenings with a nice drink. Spotless huge upstairs and downstairs with a separate terrace with sun beds and hot tub. Pure luxury! The staff were amazing. They never left you standing very polite and you should be proud as we know some staff were from the other hotels due to them being shut. The pool was huge, plenty of sun beds, we chose to use the unseated one which didn’t bother us. The staff continuously walked around asking if you wanted anything and were always polite and friendly. The food here is amazing! So many choices and stations in main buffet, BBQ was great for lunch by the pool and 2 a la carte that we used Portofino and Fine Dining with being there for 10 days, the food and drinks were outstanding! We were all inclusive, branded spirits grey goose, absolut vodka, bottles of Carona, Heniekin proper branded names and not the usual local. Cocktails ice creams from the pool bar such as Oreo twix etc The hotel was busy but this was due to other people being moved here due to the pandemic. Even though, no problem with sun beds although towards the end of our hotel it did get busy Covid rules were fantastic, all staff were on the ball no walking about without a mask on and hand sanitizers everywhere and enforced to use coming into food areas and drink areas. We used to walk along the front in the morning to Porto Colon harbour and you could walk the other way also. Plenty around the hotel but sadly closed. We had the curfew but that didn’t bother us as we wee quite happy to retire to our suite and have a drink on the balcony. The only niggle we had was that you were supposed to have a mini bar. Now I understand this had to be emptied due to the pandemic! You could order drinks to your room from 9 in the morning until 5 in the evening. The first 3 nights we ordered vodka for myself and bottles of Diet Coke and carina for my husband. Apparently the vodka you had to pay for yet I could go to the bar downstairs and get it as part of the all inclusive. I just do not see the logic in this? So make sure you ask what is free when ordering as part of the all inclusive mini bar delivery! The entertainment we didn’t use as we preferred to just sit in the lobby bar and relax with a couple of bailies after dinner. This was our first iberostar experience and that an unforgettable Coral anniversary we had that we are looking for this December. Will we try the Sabilla since we missed out? I don’t think we will! We would love to come back again to the Anthelia for our anniversary this year Hope to see you all again soon! Gail and David Murray

We were moved to this hotel as the Iberostar hotel we had booked was closed. Stayed for six nights. 10 out of 10 for location. Staff and drinks 10 out of 10, pools and cleaness the same in all areas. Lower scores for rooms - was in a double with side sea view toilets have glass doors and when your standing at the sink brushing your teeth I do not need to see my other half, although room extremely clean and a beautiful bed this did let it down. so 7 out of 10. Resturant staff etc and food of a very good standard and staff always smiling. Drinks on all inclusive excellent with branded drinks and cider in bottles and staff helpful and could not do enough. Pools of a high standard and a lovely area to relax. So well done staff in all areas you do the hotel justice. All in all we enjoyed our stay but I did find the hotel too big and kept getting lost find smaller hotels better. Will definately use ibeorstor hotels again but maybe it will be a while before we return to this one as I like to try different places.

When we arrived at the hotel we were met with a friendly happy warm welcome by reception and concierge and felt very at ease. The breakfast service was brilliant and the selection of foods were fantastic. The rooms were impeccably clean and well laid out for our family. Plenty of space and easy access to the pool area for us. We slept very well. Cannot praise the cleaning staff enough for their friendliness and hard work. When we visited the outside terrace bar we were met with hostility on several occasions unfortunately. The majority of the hotel guests were allowed to sit together all as a family but when we tried to do so with our extended family, which at times were less people than other families, we were met with a very rude response by the hotels waiter Antonio. We’d all passed a private covid test to come and were the same family! We tried to explain this and he went so far as to get hold of a member of one of my family members chairs and start to move him quite aggressively when he was trying to explain our situation which was like many others at the time. Even though we remained polite and adhered to the hotels rules every time they changed in Tenerife and the hotel we were constantly targeted by this waiter and told not to do this or yelling after my children because they walked past the hand sanitizer and forgot to use the pump by accident. On one occasion he had seen us using the sanitiser at the entrance of the hotel and aggressively told us to use the one only 30 seconds later outside the bar. We’d not touched anything on that very short walk from the main entrance to the bar but he threatened to refuse us entry when I tried to explain. He embarrassed me and my husband and our children were shocked by his behaviour. He spoke in Spanish under his breathe a lot so I can only assume he was insulting us. I struggle to see how a five star resort can employ someone who feels the need to intimidate guests like this. We would of visited the bar more in the evening but didn’t feel welcome and felt it was definitely different rules for different families. Everyone should be treated the same. Even though the hotel is beautiful, for a family it is too far away walking distance especially if you have smaller children to get to the livelier parts of Adeje and so on.

Firstly I would like to thank all the staff for making our holiday excellent, in what must be very difficult times for them, with the Covid-19 precautions, especially Patricia on reception, who seemed to be constantly helping people, in a very efficient way! This is our ninth Christmas we have spent here. The 5star luxury we are normally used to was slightly jaded as other hotels nearby closed and the guests transferred to our hotel. The staff maintained the hotel impeccably, any complaints we had, were addressed straight away by Mr Alvarez and especially Mr Diaz. The restaurant was not as elaborate as usual but it’s what I would expect with the restrictions, but still very good. The food was excellent and the way the staff handled the hygiene was very good. Anyone thinking of booking a holiday here should not hesitate. Our children are older now and don’t use the kids club anymore, but they do look after the children very well and it gives you time to relax by the pool. The garden pool was very warm all the time the lower pools are slightly cooler, one being cold which is good for professional swimmers. We didn’t have any problem finding sun loungers even though the hotel was busy. Also for people with wheelchairs the access around the hotel is very good. A very big thank you and see you next year if COVID-19 restrictions don’t get in the way!
