We've just returned from 11 nights at the Jardines de Nivaria and overall I would say we had a good stay. The room was spacious, the breakfasts nice with a good range of hot and cold choices catering for all tastes, and plenty of staff on hand to seat you, serve coffee and assist. The staff on the whole were friendly and very courteous. The sunbeds were very comfortable and having a fresh towel and sunbed cover each day, easily picked up from the towel hut, was very convenient. There were plenty of sunbeds available and we enjoyed those with the views of the beach. It would have been helpful if there were more staff available to help with moving sunbeds and sun umbrellas together. I was regularly struggling to rearrange these and no assistance with this was available as I've seen at other 5 star hotels. The hotel is very well located for a wide range of restaurants and bars nearby, and we ate out each evening. The free underground car park is also very convenient for those with a rental car. The cleaning staff were excellent; our room was always spotless and the grounds and other shared areas cleaned to a high standard too. It's the hotel's 25th anniversary this year and on our last day they celebrated this with live music around the pool and complementary drinks and canopies which was a nice touch. There are, however, a few things that took the shine off for us. I thought the T block area where our room was, and the room itself, was rather tired and dated. It felt like quite a few areas needed a bit of an update, including around the pool where there were some missing tiles. The air-conditioning was by far the worst we've had in a hotel. Underpowered and nowhere near cold enough. An engineer came to 'fix' it during our stay, which made no difference. We ended up leaving it on 24 hours a day just to keep the room slightly cool. I was uneasy about this for environmental reasons but it was just too warm to do anything else. The minibar was also underpowered and didn't cool drinks sufficiently. We've stayed in a number of 5 star hotels and it's the little details that often make the difference. We were therefore surprised that to even open the minibar we needed to pay for a €10.50 drinks package, to be charged €10 to play tennis for an hour, and that I even had to insert a €2 coin into the table to play pool. I'd expect that in a sports bar down the road but not in a 5 star hotel I'm staying in. We only ate at the pool bar once. The pizza my son had was awful, a piece of undercooked bread with some tomato and cheese slapped on. Our sandwiches were also disappointing, bland and boring. Considering the high cost as well, we decided to get all our lunches and dinners elsewhere after that. I fed these points back to customer relations and also suggested that they relax the policy of no ball games in the pools. There were a number of occasions when the fresh water pool was empty except for a couple of people throwing a ball to each other, and the lifeguard was straight over to stop their fun! A bit of pragmatism here would be good. This is a good hotel overall and I think with some improvements they can lift standards even further.

Hotel's Favorite
Just returned from our 7th stay , 14th to 28th of Sept at this fantastic hotel. All the staff from the director , are all 1st class and a great credit to Adrian Hoteles , the rooms are really good tidy and very clean, the food is again very good, the grounds are well maintained and very clean, the location is just right close to all the amenities but still nice and quiet . But on this visit due to the covid situation the hotel has excelled itself the thought and organization that has gone into it has to be seen to be believed, we have never felt so safe or so very well cared for , every detail is in our opinion is covered, very many thanks for all your excellent care and consideration.

This hotel is amazing and we will definitely return if we can, I will just list all the pros as there is little or no cons that I can think of. *Fabulous clean pools one warm salt pool and another fresh cold pool , a jazcuzzi and I think a small kids pool *Lovely pool side service all day , nice casual bites to eat and cocktails /ice creams brought to you on your sun lounger you just scan your room card, so easy. *Poolside restaurant also if you wish to sit at table and dine, fabulous views overlooking the sea *Poolside massage available on request *Lovely Spa and hair salon, & gym *Free towels for loungers *So peaceful yet lovely atmosphere , some kids but not too many. *Cleanest hotel we have ever stayed in we could see the level of work that goes into keeping the hotel spotless in every area *Really Friendly staff, met so many that are so nice. *Access to beach and prom on ground level excellent location to many nice bars and restaurants. Great coffee in fanabe la mer right across the way on the prom, the coffee in the hotel isn’t the best. *Room cleaned so well sheets changed every day if you so wish. *Really good salon style hairdryer in the bathroom so no need to bring your own. *Lovely chocolate left on your pillow every evening *Fresh bottle of water left in room every day *Breakfast choice amazing great quality food and def something to suit every taste lovely egg station for fresh omelettes , poached boiled or fried eggs, freshly made pancakes , fresh fruit, all types of fresh bread, cakes, donuts, salads, fresh juices, Kelloggs cornflakes, branflakes and cocopops! Prosecco, cheeses meats etc. Really couldn’t fault this hotel, yes it’s expensive but feel like it’s great value for money given the level of service and cleanliness , amenities and food. The location is very central and near everything you want we would love to return here.

Just back from staying in this hotel and all I can say is pure luxury, beautiful art decor interior lots of palm trees and the constant sound of waterfalls. As much as I like modern, sometime you just can’t beat tasteful quality interiors. We stayed in the junior suite which was plenty of room for myself and two teenage daughters. Spotless clean everywhere, very attentive staff. A 5 * hotel with so much more. Location was perfect, beachfront and straight onto the Promenade for an evening walk with lots of bars and restaurants.

How to start. The hotel is fantastic, providing a wonderful relaxing holiday. The evening dinning experience was great, with the chefs freshly cooking your meal to how ever you wanted. There were different dishes every evening providing lots of varied choices. The lunchtime dining at the poolside restaurant was a great afternoon, with fresh dishes prepared and served at your table. The pools are lovely surrounded by beautiful gardens providing a real oasis experience. A nice touch, is that they do not allow sun beds to be reserved, as there are plenty available all the time. This is a great idea.👍 All the staff ensure your stay is relaxed and enjoyable, from the reception team, waiters, chefs, cleaners and gardeners. They all are so friendly and helpful making our holiday fantastic.👌👌 We are looking forward to returning, for another great holiday.

This hotel is beautiful, quiet, and in a great location. We felt like we had lots of space to relax. The rooms are comfortable and the sea view is lovely. All of the staff are very friendly, attentive and helpful and seem to really enjoy working at the hotel. The pools are fantastic, the food is superb (especially breakfast) and there are activities for everyone. The only negative is the rule against ball games in the pool, which is not "family friendly". If no-one else is being bothered, they should be more flexible in (not) enforcing this rule. The combination shampoo and body wash was also surprising for a 5-star hotel though we can understand the dispensers reduce waste. These are only minor quibbles though, in what was an amazing week at the Hotel Jardines de Nivaria. We'll go back!

Dear Guests, Thank you very much for your kind words about our hotel, our staff and our services. We always do our best to make the stay of our clients as enjoyable as possible and are happy to read that we could meet your expectations. As to the ball games, we regret, but most of our guests appreciate this regulation as it ensures calm and peace. Nevertheless, our ADRIAN Hoteles Roca Nivaria at Playa Paraiso is a fantastic 5 star hotel suitable for families. There, we even have a fabulous water park for children, please check our website. Regarding the toiletries, we would like to inform you that we are IS 14001 and Emas certificated. That means we do efforts to reduce negative impact on the environment, such as plastic waste. Therefore, we introduced dispenser for gelshower and soap by maintaining the good quality. Please do not hesitate to contact us regarding a room wish you may have. It would be a pleasure to welcome you to our hotel again in the future. Kind regards, The Management

Wasn’t keen on the room decor on our first room it was old miss matched wood throughout was expecting more after traveling from the rui Buenavista which has beautiful decor we are no strangers to elegant well kept hotels here in Ireland and abroad that actually hold the reputation based on the reflection of how the hotel is run how they accommodate guests and over all hospitality. Wasnt impressed after been asked to leave the dinner area due to confusion with the dress code… Which I completely accept however as a mother of a young child I would at least expect to be directed or even escorted to the appropriate dining area for my family as it was in a separate building considering that this is a five star hotel being attentive to a family trying to feed an infant should not be a hassle for staff we had four members of the dining area staff and a manager ask us to leave as I said I understood the reasoning but asking people to wear full length trousers in 30 degrees heat is outrageous. Also the pool area has missing tiles some parts were run down on the tiles. The water fall near the steps at the cold water pool is extremely dangerous it should be fenced off it’s a small Rock leading to a huge drop which I’m surprised you haven’t blocked off for safety precautions. The buffet area is very small there wasn’t much selection or options it wasn’t catering to vegetarian needs much.. The rest of the hotel was very nice comfy beds over priced food drinks cocktails and smoothies €7.50 for a banana and strawberry smoothie 😂 The cleaning ladies on the floor where we upgraded to a suite were absolutely over the top knocking on the door constantly we were being disturbed!! It was actually very annoying as we have a young child or we would be trying to relax and then we’d get a knock tell then no we’re fine for everything and then 3 minutes later a different woman asking the same questions would come along I would recommend some clear communication between those women in the G building. This was constant we were only there a night and they were knocked the following morning first thing. After I had discussed with the reception staff upon checking in that we would have an evening clean when needed. There was nothing special about the suite the bathrooms in both rooms were beautiful and I liked the wardrobes the lights were lovely to but over all the rooms are dated nothing modern about them if that’s what you like and to be over changed for it I would recommend this place if you want to spend that type of money wisely I recommend the RUI hotels on the island they are way better. My last and final comment is directed to the gentleman on the reception desk that I expressed my experience in the dinner hall to who kept answering me with but this is a five star hotel. There was no confusion as to why we were asked to leave the dinner hall due to dress code, however a five star hotel with the correct attitude towards an issue like that would have staff educated enough in hospitality to treat guests better and take them to the facility in the hotel where they could dine in, get them a table treat them dignified! The manager embarrassed me and my family and looked down on us as if we we’re below them. That really let down the whole experience I would have been willing to over look a shabby hotel room old dated decor and overpriced drinks, meals and a rubbish pool menu but the way staff treat guests makes it breaks an experience and for that I will never be checking into this hotel again.

Good afternoon, Thank you for your comments including your constructive criticism which we will keep in mind. We really regret that you were disappointed about your holiday at our ADRIAN Hoteles Jardines de Nivaria. In 2016, most of the rooms have been refurbished, the hotel was closed for five months. During the pandemic, installations were also renovated and although we are constantly reforming rooms, we are planning to give them an uplift in general. We are especially sorry to read that you felt embarrassed and not treated respectably by our staff. Please believe us that the majority of our clients is convinced of the quality and friendliness of our staff. As guests' satisfaction is our priority, we very much regret that your expectations were not met in this manner. As to the dress code, it is a regulation and can be read on our web page: "Dinner: dinner is a special occasion, for which we request adequate clothing for the meal. Jardines de Nivaria: Gentlemen (from 12 years old): long trousers, T-shirt with sleeves and closed shoes. Ladies: elegant attire. We appreciate your good taste". In general, this is appreciated by most of our guests and we are sorry if you do not approve it. Regarding buffet, we understand that everybody has their own taste. We therefore kindly suggest always to speak with the Maître, the Public Relations or Reception so we can talk about your wishes and meet your requirements. Thanking you again for your time, we remain, Kind regards, The Management

It was a great week here. We had B&B with a pool view room. The room it was very clean with a walk-in dressing and a nice view to the pool. The breakfast was various and tasty. We also had the lunch at the restaurant, we tried paella with mix seafood and the local fish, very good both of them. One pool is heated and salty and the jacuzzi is very relaxing. You can find available sun beds in the pool area at any time. The staff is very friendly and always smiling 😃. There was a different show every night at Tiffany’s bar. The hotel is near of lots of restaurants and souvenir shops and also near Playa del Duque, a very beautiful beach.

Great week at the Hotel. Only had B&B so didn’t sample the restaurants. Breakfast buffet had a great choice and on a par with other 5 star hotels I’ve stayed at. Room was a little disappointing for a 5 star hotel but adequate. We’re in a ground floor junior suite which looked into a hedge with no view. Other rooms in the hotel have great balconies with lovely view. Not a fan of the main pool being salt water although there is a second pool but it’s a bit on the cold side. Like others have said you have to pay for use of mini bar to get a fridge. We just paid for 6 bottles of water, about €10/11 I think and got other stuff from supermarket. Hotel is in a good location with back gate straight onto prom walk. Probably wouldn’t return and would pick a different hotel next time.
