1st things 1st we go to PLDA at least 3 times a year and have never stayed at this Hotel before, but have had a look around it and thought yes we will try It for a change. We were celebrating our Ruby wedding anniversary and our friends Ruby anniversary. In March we popped in told the receptionist that if possible could we have two rooms next to each other they made a note of it on the bookings but said to email the hotel a couple of weeks before we were due to arrive which I did, so we were disappointed that they didn’t manage this, even with that amount of notice, we were not far and on the same floor so not the end of the world. Rooms are very nice and spacious but lack storage space, nice large bathroom with walk in shower. We was there for two weeks and the maid came In daily but on 3 occasions she only changed the towels nothing else was done ie make beds empty bins etc. Both pools were really nice clean etc plenty of sun beds to go around, but the animation team need to be better, Also the the lifeguard spent most of his time chatting to two different couples away from his Station and could not see either pool ( check photo ) Reception Staff seemed to think it was a chore being there not all of them but a few. Ok now to the fire alarm going off at 4am on floor 2, everyone who heard it which was most, evacuated down the stairs and out to the front of the building, the security guard was just standing at reception waiting for the night receptionist and said nothing to anyone after about 5 minutes the receptionist appeared after probably being on a toilet break due to him Adjusting his trousers and belt, he just sat down and said nothing,he didn’t come out to us outside to say ok false alarm alls ok, I had to go in to him and ask him if was ok to go back to bed I questioned him as to why he didn’t come out his reply was I DIDNT KNOW IF YOU WAS ALL GOING HOME,the entire 2nd floor was out there. Now the food or lack of it (photos to follow) I have been to 3 star Hotels with better food than this, and it has been replenished quicker The Breakfast there is 4 cereals muesli, puffs, very small coco pops and cornflakes all own branded and very bland, bacon was always done to a crisp or black, so never had any the sausage was tinned hotdog sausage, or chipolatas, eggs well hit and miss, the omelettes was nice nice with a good choice of fillings there was a good variety of continental food but not much for the British, replenishment in mornings was a lot better than the evening. Evening meal again very very hit and miss some nights you could make a decent meal and think yes that was nice but most of the time it catered for the continental folk Replenishment on an evening was atrocious some folk waited 25 minutes for the ice cream to be filled up. I spoke to the Hotel Manager who said he would look into the complaints I put to him but he never got back to me. The nicest member of the Hotel staff who really cared what the customer said or complained about was Angel the bar manager he really went out his way to try and rectify any problems even though they wasn’t his department. So a massive thank you to Angel it was much appreciated what you tried to do. Car parking If you hire a car and park at the Hotel it’s €10’s a night and if you hire a mobility scooter from anywhere that is also €10’s a night to charge it up. Personally I think it’s expensive.

Due to a change we booked this hotel a week before we travelled so didn’t have time to check out a lot of details . We stayed on the 7th floor and were really impressed with the room and the bathroom, have to say more storage in the bathroom would be nice but it was fine. I know it was overlooking the Veronica strip, when I booked, but with the door closed and ear plugs it was fine. The cleaning was perfectly fine, they changed the bed and sheets, when we let them in, quite happy to take out our own rubbish. The view was great, just sitting on the balcony looking at the sea and surfers as a good start to the day. Drinks at the bar were tasty, the card system is a bit strange, but luckily for us we only queued for 7 minutes, and yes we time it. Entertainment wasn’t the best, but I have seen and heard worse. We went out quite a lot but that was our choice so can’t really comment on the food apart from breakfast, which we went to most days I did not see any unwanted creatures anywhere. The reception were most helpful We really enjoyed this holiday and that was helped by being at this hotel and the friendly staff We would happily return All in all for the price we paid we are pleased we went

So where to start? Food was the absolute worst I've ever had on a so called buffet, when I say disgusting I mean VILE. It was in edible and when you complain they AGREE! Receptionist told us to eat out as it's safer! Rooms are ok, clean and sparsely decorated. A single sink bathroom with a walk in shower. However zero ventilation so it takes an age to dry. I wanted to also mention the white skin scratching so called towels, they should have been replaced a very long time ago. Bring plenty with you. The hotel is almost bang central if you like music blasting out unit 5am! Yes 5am! This is NOT a relaxing scenario at all! Keep an eye on the lifeguard and his pal who water the plants, they seem to have a secret code when women walk past them, with the plant waterer guy actually whistling from a balcony to point out a young lady, they both then made strange hand gestures to each other. Sacking offence. The pool area is ok, cheap plastic sunbeds that are not at all comfortable, but if u like that sort of thing then enjoy. The parasols are all broken so good luck. So now onto the bar....it's just about the most ludicrous system I've ever seen in years of travel experience. U wait in the que for 15 minutes, u have to give them the room key as for some INEXPLICABLY reason? Then they print out a slip of paper that you sign and it's lumped onto the room bill. Absolutely no choice whatsoever. If you are reading this Mr Alexandre Troya u should know that this is the ONLY all inclusive system of that type on the planet! It's a backward and insulting to customers. Get it sorted! In conclusion I would AVOID AVOID AVOID. For a few pounds more you can experience Mexico amd true all inclusive. It's an awful and completely useless hotel. Like I said don't waste money on all exclusive deal, it's cheaper in town....but that's full of horrendous British tattood chavs who make the whole place a seedy and unregulated dump. Hote, u should be ashamed for calling yourself a 4 star, it would be lucky to make a 2 star in a real holiday resort. I look forward to the cut and paste comments from management.

Dear guests, Thank you for considering correct our rooms and the pool area, we are happy to know that we have managed to meet your expectations in these points. We feel sad to read that we haven't managed to meet the rest. The food offer has been designed in order to try to reach a wide variety of tastes. Most of the food families are represented every evening at the Buffet, and we go through Health & Safety controls, audited by external companies. We can hardly believe that you got a reply like that from reception. Our privileged location, just a stone's throw from Troya beach, places the hotel to a very lively area, it is true. We are not located at a quiet area, but it is possible to ask for a room at a quiet location. And all the room window doors are soundproofed, with a double glazing. Thank you for pointing that information about the lifeguard, we will look into it. The parasols are checked daily and correctly maintained. I have myself checked three of them (random) right now, and they are all working properly. With reference to your comments about the All Inclusive, we regret no having provided the services you were expecting to have. Our customers need to order their All Inclusive drinks, and their cards are read at the counter, in order to verify their board basis, as all the different regimes are served at the same service points. Due to logistic reasons, we have a big bar by the pool with three service stations. We try to attend our guests as fast as we can, and our customers do not have to wait more than 5 - 10 minutes every time they order. We really hope that you enjoy your next choice on your vacation, Kind regards,

This hotel is definitely not 4 star 3 at a push. Rooms comfortable but the cleaning leaves a lot to be desired. Advertised we get a coffee machine in the room this was not the case. Food and drink ok, no kids food as advertised. The receptionist were not very friendly and would dismiss you easily. Went all inclusive which was cut off at 12 pm the day we were leaving although they do give you a voucher for lunch. Why they can’t let you have drinks until you leave is beyond me especially when you have paid a lot of money for the holiday.

Dear guests, Thank you for the time spent in leaving your review about the Alexandre Troya. We regret to know that we haven't managed to meet your expectations. We can confirm that every aspect informed on our official website about us, is correctly advertised. We would like to know, if you have time, where did you get the information about us. We assume that you booked with an external supplier. It obviously needs to be checked. You can get in touch with us through our official website, you can find it in google. It is correct, the All Inclusive services end at 12 pm on departure date, as well as the stay in the room, which has to be vacated at 12 pm as well. However, as a courtesy of the Hotel, we provide a voucher for lunch & drinks for lunch to our All Inclusive guests, which they can use after 12 pm. We hope you enjoy your next choice on your vacation, Kind regards

We usually go to Tenerife a few times a year so we’ve generally been to loads of different hotels and as long as there clean, have a bed, sun loungers and sun were quite happy. I don’t even know where to begin with this one. First of all it’s right next to Veronica’s and it’s loud music all night to the early morning. We got one of the worst rooms facing it (even though we requested a quiet room) when I went down to ask to move I got told there was no other rooms in the hotel (the hotel is massive) and to come back in the morning at 10am. We then went back at 10am and they said can you stay in the room another night and see how you get on. Waste of space. The pool was also half empty so I can guarantee they had more rooms available. I could also see a pile of cards for people who hadn’t check in yet. So the room when we first got here had hair and dead insects on the bed and cockroaches in the bathroom that my husband to get rid of. The air con is poor. You have to pay for the fridge €25 euro (they will fill it with juices etc but even if you don’t want it filled it and just want it opened for your own bottled water you pay) the staff at reception are pretty rude. The food is okay some nights were really good some were very poor it’s a hit or miss each day and we’re a family who eat anything. Some chefs don’t speak any English so any dietary restrictions this is not the place for you! They do different milk but they run out soya and almond when I was here so they only had oat for days. Breakfast is probably the best meal and you get coffee and juice, but please note of your only half board you get NO WATER yes not even a water at lunch or tea time it costs €5 euros for a small bottle. You can’t bring your own water in either. They advertise you can keep your room in on the day you leave however again that’s a lie you can’t. They shouldn’t be allowed to advertise they have a gym as it’s very poor and hardly anything works. Maybe cause it’s quite old? Not entirely sure but I chose this hotel cause I like to go to the gym in the mornings and I had to go out and run and walk in the sun instead. There was 4 of us here and every single person said they would never come back. My mum and dad come to Tenerife about 7 times a year and this is the first hotel they’ve ever complained about.

Dear guests, Thank you for the time spent in leaving your review about the Alexandre Troya on Tripadvisor, and also thank you for an overall good review about the food offer. We regret to read that we haven't managed to meet your expectations in the rest of the aspects. The Hotel registers a high occupancy throughout the year, (we are on average 96% occupied). Therefore, if reception offered a room change the following day, it means that we really did not have availability at that very moment. We regret to read that you refer to have met some anomalies in the room cleaning when you checked in. We try to provide the rooms in the best possible conditions, and it is actually our way of working. Please accept our apologies for any possible disturbances. There is an advertisement for the Late Check Out. It says that you can keep your room a little longer for 11€ per extra hour (upon availability). Our gym was built and open in 2014, and the machines are frequently checked and updated. However, we will take your comments into serious consideration, to see if there is anything that needs to be urgently improved. Half Board includes Breakfast and dinner without drinks (as the rest of the Hotels of our area and our segment). This information can be also queried before you book, we are always willing and available to help our customers with any questions they may have. We hope that you enjoy your next choice on your vacation, Kind regards,

Stayed at the Troya with my husband for six nights - all inclusive. I was pretty dubious as had read some of the reviews which were not overly favourably. We arrived at the hotel fairly late after the evening mealtime had finished. The lovely man on reception gave us a bag with sandwiches, fruit and water in which was very kind. We were on the sixth floor with a sea view. The room was very clean and we had no complaints about this. The food at this hotel is buffet style and there is so much choice. You will not go hungry. Drinks are great - Amstel beer, baileys and cocktails were our go tos. The soft drinks for the daytime were very nice - the pure orange juice was my favourite. The pools are very clean - no complaints here. We spent a bit of time on the sun terrace which was so peaceful. Not many people seemed to use these. Location is right next to the gorgeous beach - walk out of the hotel and the beach is there. Our only problem was that we were right on top of Veronica’s strip and the noise until 4am was pretty loud. But we nipped to the supermarket and bought some earplugs - job don’t. The staff are very friendly and polite and extremely hard working. Overall we loved our holiday very much.

We had a lovely vacation in this hotel. The food, the room, the service ,the enterteinment... all amazing! We've arrived at the hotel very late and the staff prepared us a some food ,that was the first thing that we loved. We were very hungry after our flight. The bar staff ,even the cleaning ladies are so friendly,we loved it. The hotel is located the Playa de Troya . The enterteinment staff was so so funny and we had every day shows and games (like mini golf) . At the bar you can find everything you want to drink from smoothies to vodka, sangria(the best sangria) . The pools were clean, and sunbeds for eveyone. The food was very good and the desserts amazing. We've tried the welness center, the ladies from there very friendly and we had the best massage therw. In other words is the best hotel. We recommend it for everyone who wants to have fun and relax in the same time.

My couple and I really enjoyed our stay at the Alexander Troya Hotel. From our room to the food to the service staff. Everyone was very kind and accommodating. The food at the hotel is very tasty and varied (We used all inclusive service). I also want to note that the hotel is located in front of the beach, a 2-minute walk from a taxi stop, 7 minutes from a bus stop that specifically takes you to Siam Park and the Karting Club. There are also many interesting bars and music clubs nearby. In a word, everything went very well and we enjoyed our vacation. Highly recommend this hotel!

I do not know where to start with this hotel, when booking I chose to ignore the bad reviews as the pictures and location of this hotel is great. The actual rooms of this hotel are lovely - really clean and modern. However upon arrival we was given a ground floor room and was just not happy as there are people walking past 24/7. We asked to move to a higher floor and was told come back tomorrow when people leave, we went back and was told the same again come back and ask tomorrow. - in the end they took our room number (244) and said they would let us know once a room comes available - we did not hear nothing for the rest of our week. The shower in our room was flooding the floor and leaking out onto the corridor every time we had a shower, 2 days before we went home maintenance/house keeping let them self into our room spoke in their own language and left without telling us if had been fixed or not. The food in this hotel is DISGUSTING! We was half board - and ending up spending a fortune eating out for breakfast&dinner every day. I am a vegetarian and I picked up what was labelled a Potato - I bit into this and it was PORK. The chips are not even edible from this place. On top of this, our return flight home was not until 10:30pm, we had asked the hotel prior could we pay for the room until 7pm so we would not be sat around all day with our luggage, we was told yes at the rate of £11 per hour, it got to the day we was leaving - they locked us out of our room and when I went to reception about this they said we could not keep the room or even have a shower as they had to prioritise the elderly couple who needed our room. The reception staff are so rude and do not like younger English couples, I am so upset by our stay here I really would not recommend it to anybody.
