We've been coming to this hotel since my grandparents "found" about 20-30 years ago (? not sure as I wasn't born but a while ago now) and we been visiting about once a year since that. This place is surely something special, from the atmosphere to the people working here, I wouldn't complain about anything. It's a huge hotel but every inch is carefully thought out and every little detail in this place is so incredible. I don't even know how to explain this hotel, that I would also like to call a mini-town mixed with a park with pools..haha) but it's so incredibly beautiful you don't wanna leave the hotel area. The staff here is the best I've ever experience. They're incredibly nice and you will definitely be treated like royalty the time your here. I always feel like home here and I cant to get back here after this corona thing-.- The breakfast - best hotel buffet I've ever experience and I have been to some. The churros are my favorite but they have everything you want. Oh and don't forget to ask about some hot chocolate. Lunch - As you'll probably be pretty full after breakfast, we usually order like club sandwiches to pool or go to one of the restaurants that are open for lunch. Or we take a walk to plaza Bahia, maybe do some shopping and eat crepes. yum. Dinner - My favorite meal of the day is 6/7 days spent in one of the restaurants within the hotel area. The favorites are La Hacienda and La Trattoria. After dinner, we usually walk around a bit then watch the entertainment show, which is compared to other hotels, very high quality. They once had some acrobats there who brought me up on stage and flipped me in the air haha, very funny indeed. Also, they have a waterfall and a big pound with fishes, swans, ducks, and turtles. They have other birds in the lobby too. As an animal lover, I love this. If I'm gonna complain about one thing... A few years ago the had these peacocks walking around and they were so beautiful and it was very cool. Sadly they're all gone now and I miss them...:( As I'm not a big of a writer I'll post as many pictures as I can.

Bahia del Duque feels very exclusive. There is a large white gate by the pool area which leads onto the promenade/beach (using your key card). Tourists flock around this area to people watch so it is a good atmosphere. The porters and staff are very friendly and I love the fairytale-like outfits they wear. The service is great. The pool area is my favourite and it reminds me of The Great Gatsby. I love the golf buggies which take you anywhere you want to go within the complex. We got one back to our room from the Mexican restaurant. The fajitas and nachos were so good, probably the best I’ve had. The spa is very serine and modern, where you can relax for the day for a £30 fee, which is redeemable on a treatment. It is worth it looking back, so I will do this next time. Our room was perfect and looking over the pool area. The breakfast is really good and service brilliant. There are plenty of free water bottles and towels by the pool area and there is always someone waiting to take your order by the pool, which is excellent. There are two shops inside the hotel which are high-end and sell items like missoni kaftans. The tropical gardens are amazing to walk around. The maintenance and condition of the hotel is superb. I didn’t see any part of the hotel in need of repair. All in all, Bahia is great value for money and Tenerife has amazing weather - what more could you want.

My 50th birthday was in February,so my husband gave me the present of a holiday, albeit I had to find one that I would be happy with, after a lot of deliberation from ,Maldives and far flung destinations (living in Ireland) I found the Bahia Del Duque and a few more in the area that seemed to delight, However on closer inspection of hotels and reviews I decided on BdD. This was 6th to 13th March during the covid19 breakout. What made this hotel standout over the others was they offered different luxury packages that suited us, we decided on the experience of the seas, combing that with 4 extra days.Package includes transfer from airport to the hotel, this was a disappointment as it was just a mini bus and not what I consider luxury transportation, that said we arrived at the hotel and were greeted by fabulous staff who explained the hotel and grounds in great details, the offerings and a map. The room (503) was on first glance not our style and small than what we are used to, that said it has all the amenities needed and functions perfectly, one great thing is we had a balcony and a fab view of the sea. We had booked a massage that afternoon @5 and booked dinner for 8, the massage was the best I’ve ever had, so much so I was shaking after it, deep tissue it was. Booked the Italian that night, but really couldn’t eat, so we went for an early night and the best sleep in years. Breakfast was buffet, which I normally don’t like, but it was a smorgasbord to suit everyone’s taste. Really great start to the day. Booked the French restaurant that evening and although we enjoyed the food, the portions are large. Third night we went to the Hacienda restaurant which was really good, again the portions are large, we are not big eaters. Great wine selection and service. Decided on the buffet for our fourth night, again great food, but I’m not a lover of buffet, but even I found it acceptable, next night we decided on Sua at the last minute so I called the club house and asked for a reservation with a smoking table, I was informed they haven’t got any but we could smoke in a near by smoking area, we arrived for dinner and after giving our name, the manager noted we were looking for a smoking table and had one set up for us,this also happened on our last night in the Italian. Our package included a private yacht for a morning with lunch in the afternoon at the beach club. Service throughout the hotel was above and beyond anything I’ve experienced before In any luxury hotel that I have stayed in, and this is the most important factor in staying there. The staff went above and beyond on every occasion, they really make the hotel special. It was all the little details that they remembered and you never had to ask for anything twice. Thanks to the management of Bahia Del Duque and all the exceptional staff for making our holiday memorable and luxurious. I certainly will remember my 50th and the wonderful staff, I look forward to returning

This hotel is amazing! From the moment you arrive, the staff take care of you. It is like paradise!!! The upgrade to Casas Ducales is worth paying for as you get so many extras - it then feels like all inclusive!

We thought we would check out an alternative place to stay from our usual hotel, just for a change, and paid for a taxi to take us there to check it out. The door man was extremely rude and when we protested he handed his phone to one of our party who spoke to reception, explaining that we wanted to visit to see if we wanted to stay. The answer was still no with some rationale to do with security and that we needed to make an appointment with marketing. Bahia del duque doesn’t need your business or ours apparently
