GF Victoria hotel garners appreciation for its extensive amenities, including pristine pools and family-friendly facilities, alongside spacious rooms that cater well to families. Its location is commended for being close to beaches and local attractions, though it offers a more tranquil atmosphere which might lack vibrancy for some.
While the hotel's cleanliness receives high marks, guests have called out the costliness of drinks and additional services, suggesting that the value proposition could be improved. Service is generally warm, but can suffer during peak times.

This hotel is absolutely gorgeous and very spacious with plenty to do.
All of the rooms are suites, so as a couple we had a bathroom each, bedroom, lounge with kettle, fridge and a balcony.
In the room there is shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, towels, hair dryer, tea&coffee and then at the pool, pool towels are provided.
The food is absolutely amazing, lunch round the pool was especially tasty.
Breakfast was sometimes difficult to get a hot drink, it was hit and miss whether they came round and asked.
Also due to the pandemic you cannot help yourself to food and often on the cold food, fruit and cereal station it was unmanned so you couldn’t get anything and had to stand around waiting for a member of staff.
One life guard was extremely OTT about pool rules. Children are allowed in the water with arm bands on however babies and younger children couldn’t be in a rubber ring or use a floaty/woggle/noodle. I don’t have children but I still found this extremely pedantic, I don’t see how other floatation devices pose any more risk than arm bands? Also they banned balls and water pistols which again makes no sense as surely the biggest risk of all are people themselves sharing a pool together.
The experience was also let down as the wifi didn’t work the entire time we were there so we had to use 4G. Apparently there was an issue with the WiFi in a few rooms on our floor.
On the last day we were told off by a waitress round the pool for having our own water bottles? WATER? Isn’t water a basic human right and necessity? Especially in that heat? She said we could only have drinks from the bar, I understand not bringing our own alcohol or snacks but water seems very odd.
The courtesy room on the departure day was literally 1 shower and 1 toilet with 1 electricity point for both of us. There was not even a window or extraction fan so after the steam from the shower it was impossible to dry and style my hair for the journey home as it was so humid and sticky in the room.
On the whole we loved the experience at this hotel, even in July with all the social distancing and masks it was definitely worth it. It is also a convenient location, close to the beach and close to “the duke” shops which houses plenty of beautiful restaurants to dine at.

Response from Manager GF Hoteles, Marketing at GF Victoria
Responded Jul 31, 2020
Dear Guest, Thank you very much for your comments and for the trust shown in our hotel GF Victoria. As you know, this pandemic has caused many changes, especially with regard to safety and hygiene in general and, in particular, with regard to the protocols that have been imposed by local administrations on the hospitality industry. Regarding the lifeguard's directions, we regret if they seemed a little harsh, but they are made with the safety of our guests in mind. We offer our apologies for any inconvenience. It is true that the use of inflatables is prohibited, but rings and arm bands are allowed for the safety of small children. The official protocols state that objects cannot be shared, nor any activity take place which means that the stipulated social distance cannot be kept. In line with this, the water pistols can be used individually in the pool, but they cannot be shared between children. In relation to the Wi-Fi, we regret that some areas experienced a weak signal; this issue has now been resolved. Regarding drinks, it has always been the case that they cannot be brought in from outside the hotel, this is why water is left as a courtesy in the room. In this way, we can guarantee your food safety. We are sorry that the courtesy shower area was not to your liking; this is a free service which the hotel offers to guests who are departing later from the hotel and wish to continue enjoying the hotel facilities. These showers are for private use and must be pre-booked. Be assured we will take your comments into account for future improvements. Overall, it is very good to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us, were happy with your suite, and found the food to be amazing. Thank you for your visit, we hope to see you again in the future Best regards Manager, GF Victoria

My wife and I stayed here for 10 nights in January, room was spotless and had a large balcony, to be fair the whole hotel was spotless! Breakfast was very good with a large selection to suit everyone, had lunch poolside a few days and was also very good. Even more impressive than the actual building is the staff, each and every staff member we came across was a delight, always smiling and always helpful. Hotel is in a perfect location for heading down to the beach or shops and restaurants. This is very much a family orientated hotel with lots of children and plenty for them to do. Prices for alcohol etc are standard 5 star hotel prices, too many people complain about this,if you don't like it and would prefer a cheap €2 lager then book yourself into a cheap hotel!! I have gave 4 stars and simply for 2 reasons, 1st being that as a guy who likes to have a cigarette when having a few drinks poolside I'd prefer to do it at my lounger instead of having to walk to a designated area to do it where people are eating, 2nd being that the balcony lights automatically switch off at 11pm and I also like to sit out and have a few whiskies before bed but not in the dark! 2 very small personal issues and certainly not enough to stop us coming back to this wonderful hotel!

We have just returned from a wonderful 5 nights stay at the Victoria. It is a very well run hotel that is exceptionally clean and comfortable. The staff are very accommodating and pleasant. The restaurant staff were very helpful especially Jose Lois who was extremely warm and attentive and made you feel like you were family. He loves his job and it shows. The rooms are well equipped with a Microwave, fridge coffee machine, kettle and sink. You are supplied with a good variety of toiletries which are stocked up daily. The hotel provides you with a free bottle of water per person every evening. The food is of good quality but can get repetitive as the week goes on. The breakfast is excellent with a good selection for everyone. There is even free sparkling wine at breakfast. There is a good shopping centre directly opposite the hotel with a supermarket situated at the bottom deck where you can buy supplies. It is a short walk to many eateries in Costa Adeje. The hotel is very family friendly with a great children's pool play area on the 5th floor. Children can also use the large pool on the 2nd floor. I would definitely recommend staying at this hotel and will return at some point in the future.

We have tried out a fair few hotels in Tenerife with our 3 kids (10, 7 & 3) and mainly stayed at the Abama and El Duque. I was interested to try this as it seems very family friendly and modern, which it really is. I think with a couple of changes this could easily be the best family hotel in the area. What we loved - the buffet was really good and had loads of choice, if it pleased my meat and 2 veg father and my 3 kids, that's something of an achievement. The play area is also a great idea but it needs some work. Its built to look beautiful and its a brilliant idea as (like with Center Parcs) it allows parents to enjoy their meal. However, it just not quite working. It's empty with just a few balls in a ball pit which creates inevitable issues between younger and older kids. I think a play frame would sort a lot of that out or divide areas up. Center parcs are world class at this in my view. If you get that right, many people would book for that alone! Secondly, the WIFI needs some serious attention around the hotel .It never worked in our rooms and was patchy throughout. Lastly the age old issue of sun loungers was rife here. In recent years we have been fortunate to stay at places where the reserving of loungers is just not allowed and actively policed. With many different cultures, it's impossible for people to self regulate and honestly this behaviour makes it unpleasant for others. We saw people using the hotel towels early to reserve loungers and even people placing bananas(!) on the loungers to claim them, then becoming very angry if they were moved. It's a simple thing to sort out as they do in Sani Beach Greece with signs on umbrellas saying 'No reserving of loungers, any unattended loungers for 20 mins, items will be removed'. Observing this daily lounger battle across the pool (one side of the pool is totally in shade) made it unpleasant.
However, this is not a bad review, we really enjoyed the hotel and what made it wonderful to us was the staff who really go above and beyond, I saw so many kind things over the week. The facilities for kids are also really great and a family spa service is inspired. So, with just a couple of little operational changes I have no doubt this can easily be the best hotel to visit for families in Adeje, if not one of the best we've been to.

We were a party of 6 that traveled for Christmas .
Not a 5star hotel.
The pool staff were lovely but reception staff terrible.
From the start they got the rooms wrong and we had to be moved ,also don't be fooled by the term suite as it appears all rooms are suites. We were half board and normally in a 5 star hotel this means you can use your half board in one of the other restaurants in the hotel for a supplement.this was not the case in this hotel ,
half board meant eating in the main restaurant for breakfast and lunch .
It was fine for breakfast good choice of food but way too big and noisy and no outdoor eating area.
Ww did have dinner there on the first night and it was awful no atmosphere it felt like eating in a giant school hall
I eventually came to an arrangement with reception to have lunch at the pool restaurant for a small discount but we were only able to eat at the main one not the smaller one even though the food ,menus , staff etc. were the same .
Also upon check in we were not told about any of the events going on in the hotel over Christmas .
It also seemed a lot of the clientele were there on package deals and had paid somewhat less for their trip.
Overall bad value for money . not a 5 star hotel would definitely not recommend and would never stay there again .
should have gone with my first choice of The Bahai Del Duque a bit more expensive but it seems you get what you pay for.

Responded Jan 8, 2020
Dear Family Donnelly, Firstly, we would like to thank you for taking the time to write this review following your recent stay with us. In response to your comment about the reception staff, we would like to clarify this matter. We understand that you felt dissatisfied with the room change at the start of your stay and we would like to apologise again for this incident, however, we had received previously from your agency a message requesting that one of the rooms be an adapted room. Therefore, unfortunately, we were misinformed, but we found a solution quickly for you to start your holiday correctly. All of our rooms are suites due to the size, the high standard of furnishings and the separate sleeping areas. We offer Senior, Harmony and Premium suites. On our own website, and in the information given to all third-party agents, it indicates that the Half Board regime includes breakfast and dinner in our Buffet Restaurant. Some other hotels may offer other conditions, however, a 5-Star establishment is not obliged to offer more than one restaurant for dinner or lunch. Nevertheless, having two á la carte restaurants, we offer a 30% discount on the food as a courtesy and option for some change during the stay of our guests staying on either Half Board or Full board. We regret that you did not enjoy the atmosphere in our buffet restaurant during the dinner service. As a family hotel, and during the Christmas period, there will be a higher number of children in the restaurant. Having spoken of your discomfort with our Public Relations team on your second day, we offered a solution by allowing you to enjoy your lunch in our à la carte restaurant Amaina. Additionally, we would like to correct your comment that our buffet restaurant does not offer outdoor seating, as we have a large terrace with glass sliding doors. Regarding the Christmas activities, our Reception team provide a wide selection of information at check-in. We then offer our touchscreen information stands around the hotel, as well as providing a 24 hour reception service for any questions or doubts guests may have during their stay. We are sorry that you did not enjoy your stay with us. We have tried our best to improve your stay with our solutions, as well as offering you a late check out for one of your rooms with no extra charge. At the time of your stay, you indicated that you were pleased with the options provided and so it is disappointing to read you comments now. Kindest Regards, Manager, GF Victoria

What a lovely hotel.. our first break after lockdown and just as the isolation rules came into place. Our holiday had been cancelled with jet2 so I had to make the decision if to still visit tenerife or change my holiday destination. I’m so happy now I didn’t we come to Tenerife every year. I spoke with the hotel to book and they was very helpful, it was payment on arrival which is perfect for the current situation. Check in was easy very helpful we arrived late but the restaurant still served us plenty of food with a smile.
The rooms are very clean spacious 2 bathrooms With big balcony and gorgeous pool view.
Obviously the pools quieter because a lot of people aren’t traveling but this was great we got pick of the beds. The cleaners was very good at fully cleaning everything down I felt 100% safer than back in England.
The pool with the slides the lifeguard was always keeping a good eye on the children and always having a laugh with my 2 boys so Thankyou to them.
Cocktails are lovely in the hotel, the entertainment at night wasn’t upto much but I wasn’t expecting much but it was enough, we made the most of the sunny days letting the children play in the pool.
The buffet food was great, breakfast very good. Lattes very nice.
The hotel is so nice I really hope people will still travel. Maybe if the hotel was full capacity we may not of enjoyed it as much as I think the restaurant wouldn’t be big enough & the side pool would be crowded. The staff are helpful & friendly something that is very important in the hotel industry.
The mask wearing wasn’t a problem at all the rules were easy enough to stick to.
I accidentally left 2 pairs of new trainers in the hotel didn’t realise until we arrived back but sadly the hotel was charging a lot of money to send them back.

We have just returned from a 11 night half board holiday at the GF Victoria, everyone who works at the hotel made us feel welcome.
The hotel was spotless and well prepared to look after its guests in these difficult times.
The pool areas and aqua park are well supervised, my grandson loved the surf pool and slides, the entertainment in the evening was excellent, just needed something for the adults after the main show. One of the evenings there was an outstanding female vocalist and guitarist after the main show which made the evening more enjoyable.
We booked the private family spa sessions twice during the stay we all enjoyed having the pool and sauna to ourselves.
The buffet restaurant had an excellent choice each evening, serving a great choice of fish and meat with tasty morsels served on individual plates, again everywhere was spotlessly clean and well organised.
I would say we where all safer in the GF Victoria than at home here in the uk,every member of staff had the safety and well-being of the guests in mind.
A massive thank you to everyone for making us feel safe and relaxed at the GF Victoria a fantastic holiday.

We have just returned from this beautiful family hotel, it is the first time we stayed at a family hotel with younger kids. It has met our expectations.
The hotel is very large, which has various of activities available to all ages of children. For children above 4, there are clubs which allows parents to leaves them but unfortunately it doesn’t apply below 4. It would have been good to make that option available even with a small fee to allow the parents to enjoy the spa and other facilities. It is currently possible to book nannies but it’s min 2 hours at 18 euros.
There’s a kids water park which is fantastic, it is suitable for all ages even the adults to have a go on the bigger slides. The only issue with this is there’s very few chairs available. If you aren’t there by 10:30, it’s unlikely you will get a chair. It’s probably good if the hotel could implement some policy in chair use to help free those “reserved” chairs or encourage some form of sharing as half of the chairs are empty either due to being reserved or children and adults are both in the pool for a long time.
There’s a mini disco on every night followed up by children friendly entertainment, it is great and very much enjoyed by my 2 yrs old. However it doesn’t start till 20:30 which does make the bed time slightly tricky especially if they have a younger sibling. I though the music is a little too loud for the little ones, perhaps the management could consider turning it down a bit.
The room is well thought, it divides into two areas like a one bed room apartment. It is not huge but well designed. A couple of small things which could help us is to provide a step tool for younger children and a bin in the room rather than just in the toilet and kitchen. There’s a small kitchenette with microwave which is very useful. However the tray keeping the coffee machine and cups are rather large and could do without. They also provide a robe and slippers for children which is super cute. The quality of the toiletries provided could be improved.
The staff are all very friendly. Housekeeping are a little inconsistent in what we get especially around children items such as swim nappy, bibs etc but we asked them for one when we were there, they were very happy to provide.
The reception is very small considering the size of the hotel and the check in is quite simplified and brief. I thought we could be told a bit more of the facilities and where they are and what they can do. There’s a website based app to book various things, it’s a great idea but I feel it can be better developed and especially a bit more description. It’s mostly just a title with no or very little description.
Overall we had a great time there and would recommend the hotel to anyone, especially if they have a few children with various age.
I cant say 4 but 5 is little high as i feel there are couple of points to raise. But overall its a fantastic base in adeje, location perfect. Covid rules followed very well but that does mean some things feel less fluid, example limits in gym spa etc Prices for soft drinks n hot beverages are on high side so be aware. Facilities are great but also top end prices for treatments etc. Buffet selection breakfast very good especially range of gf choices they will whip up fresh pancakes too for u, poolside dinner pasta n pizza too specify Sin Gluten and they know exactly what you mean.Raul especially vigilant with the cross contamination and felt they had good knowledge of what was needed to ensure you felt comfortable eating. This is main reason we rebooked a GF hotel and I was happy my son could feel relaxed. Think if the hotel was much busier the service could be affected some days even with the very low numbers it did feel little bit "steady" but hey whose in a rush on holiday. There wasnt the pool rules with reserving beds etc like at the GF gran costa I think there should be a policy where if you're not there physically etc you shouldnt be able to put a swin ring and reserve 10 beds n then not come back for 2 hrs? It just makes it more structured and fairer for all guests, although of course this week we never had a sunbed issue lol the hotel was so quiet. Just feel when at full capacity it could be chaotic. Lots of areas at minute you can tell are unused due to covid so wasnt the norm. Meals we were B&B we like to venture to the main areas of adeje for a better selection. Donaire restaurant altho lovely had a very small menu and the dinner buffet was lacking in fish and GFree options. Rooms 11/10 omg the bliss of 2 bathrooms n toilets so spacious the largest we have stayed in I think ever. Perfect to adult children ..we had 2 suites but a family with yound kids would find one senior suite totally fine. Reception staff always accommodating too printed all our civid tests n Passenger location forms out. Plus the €75 for the room extension was a godsend. We fly home after midnight so were picked up at 10pm had we checked out at 12 we would have wasted a day etc but we paid the extra and stsyed in our rooms until the taxi came which mesnt we never lost out at all ..late flight factor in this cost you wont be disappointed. All in all would return but possibly not high season just as think service may suffer. GF hotels though need to be commended for their attention especially for celiac or gluten intolerant visitors..thank you.

+1
I didn’t originally book this hotel , I was transferred from the GF Costa adeje gran to which I was a bit miffed .
Can I start by saying this hotel is simply amazing , from everything from the rooms to the staff . The suites are spacious and contemporary . The pool areas are wonderful and the pools have a white sand style coating which gives the impression of swimming in the Maldives when under water .
Although there are still the same selfish people who reserve sunbeds with anything they can including kids toys and books, there are plenty of sunbeds around the complex .
I really enjoyed the sky bar . Lovely big double sunbeds with fantastic views and a glass pool for a quick dip . Fran the waiter up there looks after you like royalty .
The drinks were good quality and a fair price for a 5 star hotel . Coke €3.90 , beer €4.50 , cocktails around €11
At first I wasn’t happy with cost of the pool
Snacks and stayed clear until one day we couldn’t be bothered to go out for lunch however it was the best lunch we had on the island, Good quality burger with lovely macdonalds style fries wrapped in a newspaper cone delivered direct to your sunbed ended up being a huge hit with my nieces and at €14 were a fair price for quality and the convenience !
This is a hotel to which I can’t wait to return.
Absolutely brilliant !!😁
