Staff could not give you the time of day , found then very rude and pushy, food was a poor standard and was upset stomach when getting back to our villa . We have eaten at this restaurant before and previously the staff were friendly and food was a better quality , such a shame really

What a brilliant hotel!!!! On 16th September I arrived at the GF Victoria for 7 nights B&B & from the start I knew it was going to be good!, The hotel is spotless, and I mean spotless, the hotel is maintained to the highest standard & it just reflects quality Food: I was B&B & the breakfast selection was great, it’s good that they have dining rooms for family’s & adults & that was a great touch, so if you want early morning peace it’s available Pools: Sun beds are available at all hours of the day & the bed ‘reservers’ are swiftly told of a strict non reservation policy that is enforced in full. There are 2 pools, one Family, one Adult & on the rooftop a nudist area with pool & Jacuzzi Staff: All the Staff are so kind & friendly and a special mention must go to the front of house Security/concierge team as they were so friendly & helpful & always had time for a chat So overall a fantastic return to Tenerife & a wonderful experience, 5 Star in every sense of the word and I will be going back to the GF Victoria A Huge thank you to the GF Victoria and all of it’s amazing staff for making my holiday & making me feel so welcome!!!!

Arrived on the 16th September for a weeks holiday with my wife. On arrival we were met by the lovely reception staff, our bags were taken to our room which was stunning, it was a senior suite, great balcony area, en-suite, huge bed and loads of nice touches to the room as well as a bottle of wine waiting for us. The hotel is wonderful, modern, stylish and full of different areas to explore. There is far too much to compliment this hotel on, from outdoor facilities, the restaurant and the staff. Do yourself a favour and treat yourself to a stay at the GF Victoria, you will not be disappointed.

We stayed here for 10 nights B&B but wish it could have been longer. This is one of the best hotels we have stayed in so far. The rooms were spotless and of a good size and it was a bonus to have an extra bathroom. The small kitchen area was also really handy. All the staff were friendly and couldn't do enough for you. Food at breakfast was of a good standard and plenty of choice, even for fussy children. We had food around the pool at lunchtime and this was also really good. As there are several different pool areas it was never a problem to find a sun lounger, no crazy rush to get up in the morning to put towels down. The kids pool area is a great space. I could relax on a lounger while the kids were in the pool, on the Adventure Zone or playing football etc - there was so much to keep them entertained. As we were B&B we went out every night for dinner. The area around the hotel is lovely and there are some nice restaurants, but as we usually stay near the Golden Mile we found the area a bit on the quiet side. We did take a taxi some evenings to PDLA and walked back to the hotel which is a nice walk and only takes about an hour. The teen club in the evening was a big hit for my two boys. They have games consoles, table football, pool tables and much more. As we enjoyed our stay here so much, we have booked again to stay over Christmas this year, can't wait to return!

We had a brilliant family holiday at GF Victoria. Hotel and rooms were spotless, service was top notch, nothing was too much trouble for the staff and anything we asked for was sorted very quickly. The staff are a real credit to the hotel. After staying at other 5* hotels in Lanzarote and Majorca we felt the GF Victoria was on a different level in terms of service, food, cleanliness (and clientele!!!). A major plus point for us was there was always plenty of sunbeds and people were using them considerately (ie removing towels when not in use). It had a completely different vibe to your usual all inclusive hotel. We upgraded to half board and had dinner each night which was delicious. Another bonus was the enclosed children's play area attached to the restaurant meaning we could finish our drinks in relative peace!! Drinks, pool bar food and snacks were all reasonably priced. One thing which was a real disappointment was the mini disco and entertainment were moved indoors halfway through the holiday, not sure if this was due to it being the end of school hols and lower season. The children's mini disco room downstairs is pretty awful for parents, for me the whole idea of children being entertained on holiday is so parents can enjoy a drink and chat in a nice environment! The closure of the outdoor area to entertainment meant there were no outdoor areas to sit and have a drink. I think this would put me off visiting in winter months with children. And to the man who left a 1* review a few days ago....we saw him shouting and swearing at the poor man on reception who was busy serving another lady and he was interrupting, screaming and being extremely rude. The staff member on reception handled this very well and the man just looked like a complete idiot.

Dear guest, Thank you very much for sharing your experience with us and for choosing our GF Victoria for your holiday. We are glad to know that the whole family enjoyed the stay and that they found everything up to their expectations. We move the mini disco inside some of the winter months and, also, depending on the number of children who are staying at any given time. Anyway, we have taken note of your comment and we will study it with the animation department. Furthermore, we apologize for any inconvenience caused by any client of our hotel. Thank you again for sending us your comments and also for the mention of our staff. We will be looking forward to welcome you again to our GF Victoria. Best regards. Maria, assistant manager, GF Victoria.

We travelled as a group of 10 including four children six and under. It is a lovely hotel with lots of staff who were extremely attentive. The hotel was immaculately clean, the swimming pools were lovely and the rooms spacious and comfortable. We ate at the buffet every breakfast and evening as half-board and the waiting staff helpfully ensured there was a table large enough for us all to sit together. The quality of food was excellent and varied every night. Nothing tasted bland or reheated. The freshly baked croissants every morning were a lovely start to the day. I would not hesitate to return to GF Victoria in the future. It is one of the best five star hotels in Europe I’ve stayed in. Despite arriving late due to a delayed flight, the reception staff couldn’t have been friendlier and quickly got us checked in and got our luggage up to our rooms so we could get the children sorted and in bed. I was at reception the night Paul, from the previous review, turned up. One member of staff was in the back retrieving my flip-flops I’d left at the pool. The other member of staff was on the phone dealing with another guest’s enquiry. Paul said that he didn’t want to interrupt whilst the staff member was dealing with another guest, but then promptly interrupted whilst the reception staff member was still on the phone to complain about how unhelpful and poor the service was. Myself and the other guest were taken aback at how rude Paul was to the staff who was trying to explain the Duty Manager had left for the day (it was around 8pm) but that he would speak to them as soon as possible in the morning and in the meantime asked if there was anything he could help with. Paul probably did not hear this as he angrily stormed off without giving the staff a chance to reply, loudly saying he expected better when he’d spent three grand. I couldn’t disagree more with Paul. We had a superb holiday and whilst it’s a shame the hotel fell short of Paul’s expectations and clearly well-travelled high standards, his conduct and language was abrasive and unnecessary. All our kids really enjoyed the play area that was situated right next to the restaurant. The restaurant was spotless, including the large floor-to-ceiling transparent windows that separated the dining area from the large, visible play area. It was close to the hot buffet that housed the majority of the meat, fish and vegetables so the children were clearly visible every time you went for food each day. On the one rainy day we had, the mini-disco was moved from the outside garden bar to the children’s basement playzone. We found the large, plentiful signs dotted around the hotel that instructed us of these changes very helpful so we didn’t miss this change of plans. The children’s entertainment staff also circulated around the restaurant between 1900-2000 to explain the changes. Our one criticism was that the following two days were dry and the mini-disco remained inside. It would have been better for the kids to get some fresh air running round outside after their dinner.

Potentially the worst 5* I’ve stayed at, the hotel building itself was nice enough but the attitude of the staff was shocking. We had no hot water on our first day and they sent a maintenance man up who said the whole floor had no hot water and it would be fixed in a few hours, we came back that evening still no hot water called reception and the man had no idea there was even an issue I explained what had happened and his response was “how do you expect me to know that I don’t work in the maintenance department” honestly what on earth! We asked if there was a place for the kids to play at all in the hotel near the dining room when we checked in and we were told no only to then find out there was a whole play area we didn’t know about and only found out on the last day. The whole check in experience was bleak to say the least no smiles no happiness it honestly felt like we were inconveniencing him by being there. Our kids wanted to go to the kids disco and we were told we’re to go by reception we went sat for 10 minutes after the start time for another parent to then tell us it had been moved to the basement HOW WERE WE SUPPOSED TO KMOW THAT! I tried speaking to reception that night only to be told to go away as I was interrupting his conversation with someone when I simply asked If there was a manager available, no I’m sorry sir the manager is not available today can I take a message he just waved his hand as if to say go away and kept interrupting me. Avoid at all costs over priced and over branded! A complete contrast to the hotel we stayed at in Gran Cañería just the week before!

Dear Guest, Thank you for sharing your comments following your recent stay at our establishment. We regret that there was a short interruption in the supply of hot water to your room. This was dealt with swiftly by our maintenance staff and we are sorry if there was any misunderstanding with our reception staff over this matter. The children’s play area in the restaurant is available to all our guests; our restaurant staff would have been happy to answer any questions you may have had. We understand that our hotel was perhaps not the right choice for you on this occasion, nevertheless, we thank you for your visit. Regards Maria, Assistant Manager, GF Victoria

Wow… what a hotel! We stayed at the GF Victoria for 7 nights B&B, it cannot be faulted. Firstly, the hotel is spotless, and I mean spotless. Every area of the hotel is maintained to the highest standard, including the live walls that line the entrance area of the hotel. Food: Breakfast was great, and the dining room has been set out cleverly to insulate the noise inside the serving areas which allows you to eat in a quiet and settled environment. Tables have been spaced well so you can truly enjoy a private family breakfast at any time between 08.00 and 10.30am. Pool side service and service to sun loungers is a great option during the day when you have kids that don’t want to move from the water slides! Great selection of toasted sandwiches, pizzas and burgers can be ordered from 1pm, not over priced with the average lunch around €50. Cocktails are up there with some of the best cocktail bars you will have been to and presented the same if you order to your sun lounger or in the bars in the evening. Pools: Beds available at all hours of the day, with those who try to ‘reserve beds’ meeting a strict non reservation policy that is enforced in full. Kids pool slides are a great plus for those with kids under 120cm, and for those with with bigger kids, the larger slides are a lot of fun! There are 2 other pools, one with a shallow area for kids of all ages to play, and the other for swimmers where no floats are permitted, approx 120-140cm deep. Entertainment: Kids disco is at 8.30pm each night, our kids loved it, followed by a show each evening at 9.15, lots of seating so no rush to get back from dinner reservations and lots of staff to take and serve drink orders - shows are decent quality and easy watching. Overall a fantastic experience, 5* in every sense of the word and we cannot wait to return as a family! Huge thank you to the GF Victoria and all of it’s amazing staff!

We have just come back from a week at this fantastic hotel in a superb location. The service, facilities, food and the staff were amazing. Having 2 separate bathrooms in the senior suite was so convenient as a family of 4, the balcony was very spacious, there were lots of English channels on tv, beach towels were readily available, lots of sun loungers, lovely heated pools, lots of sports/entertainment and plenty of food choices at breakfast and dinner. Cannot recommend enough
