This was a first visit to the Cholmondeley Arms, and overall it left a solid impression. The location itself is great, easy to get to if you live anywhere near the Cheshire countryside and it is only a stones throw from Cholomondeley Castle Gardens. Set in the old school house the bar/restaurant has many quirky and original features from the... More

Been here many times. Gina are amazing and staff are only too pleased to guide you and advise on which gin is to your taste. Food is great too. Atmosphere is amazing. Friendly staff make you welcome. Can't book so be prepared to wait 10 mins or so for a table

We have eaten here a few times and it never fails to please, great food with a varied menu, good service, and a good drinks selection. The only down side is that you can't book a table and it's a bit out of the way if you have to go elsewhere. They have lots of interesting events and run their... More

Ate here after a day out at Cholmondeley Castle gardens (well worth a visit too). Had the Sunday carvery with biggest ever Yorkshire pudding. Lovely surroundings, efficient staff and service, sat inside but lots of seating outside too.

I've probably stayed here 7 or 8 times now and it never disappoints. The rooms are good and very well priced and the flapjack left in the rooms is blinking amazing! Should probably come with a sugar coma warning though! Have never had a bad meal, whether it be simple likely the wagyu burger or fish and chips or the... More

Excellent setting, the food was very good and the staff were pleasant and helpful. We will definitely visit again. Pity I couldn't sample the beers cos I was driving, but they have a bed and breakfast next door and the accomodation on the website looks very nice.

We stop here for lunch, we were in our motor home so its always good when there is a large car park. Nice warm welcome. We had our two dogs with us and were able to walk them around the large garden - really dog friendly. Food and service was very good

Came here 20 + years ago and returned today. was as quirky being an old school building as I remember. Both my partner and I had steak and kidney pie. Absolutely delicious. We arrived about 3pm just as the lunch rush was ending so there were no issues with the service either. Didn't have a dessert but the coffee was... More
