Very friendly and helpful staff. Good location by the beach, easy to move around in many places. Bus stops are just around the corner and so are many supermarkets. The rooms are spacious and well equipped, but a fridge would be a good addition, at least in the summer season. Breakfast brunch really varied and tasty. Clean and comfortable hotel.

I agree with others’ comments about the cleanliness and friendliness (and lovely smiles) of all staff at the unpretentious Tent Capi Playa, the lukewarm buffet dishes, and the lack of bedroom fridge and tea/coffee making facility………… but there is a safe and hairdryer…… and hot and cold drinks machines in the foyer available 24/7. I loved the concept of a brunch service, available from 08.30 till 01.30; you can visit as often as you like and eat as much as you like. They even put out pizza slices later in the session. I couldn’t find an English-language TV channel………. seems to require the hotel to connect to a cable service?........ though there are loads of Spanish, French and German channels. The pool is quite small (no-one used it during my March visit) and there are sun loungers, bean bags, ‘normal’ tables and chairs….. and even a couple of hammocks! Sadly, they play awful and loud “music” over the outdoor loudspeaker system……… and, then, there’s those folk who cannot go on holiday without using their mobile phones incessantly! There are loads of restaurants and bars within easy walking distance and the local bendy bus (mostly green and white) stop is just under 2 blocks away from the hotel. There are 2 services – the A2 goes to the airport (cost €5pp) and the No 25 goes to Palma in one direction and s’Arenal in the other (cost €2pp for any length of a single journey). If you’re coming to the hotel catch the bus labelled No A2 at the airport or “25 s’Arenal” from Palma and watch the onboard info screen for “Proxima parada (next stop) Balneari 9” and press one of the red stop buttons to alert the driver. The hotel is just around 200 yards back. Pay the driver with cash as you board (but don’t use a higher than €10 note), take your change and ticket. If you’re going to/from the airport, the journey time is about 25 minutes and runs at 45 minute intervals. If you’re going to Palma the bus is labelled “Catedral – Palma Express”. There’s a bus every 10 to 12 minutes or so and it takes around 35 minutes to the cathedral or about a further 10 minutes to “Proxima parada Placa d’Espanya” where the main island modern train and bus station (Estacio Intermodal) and historic Soller train station are both just across the busy road from the bus stop (“H”). Beware, though, the Palma bus could be hugely overcrowded, or full, especially at ‘rush’ hour heading for Palma…… and that was in March. Several times it was so full that it didn’t even stop though once or twice there was a second bus right behind. The historic train station is accessed through a café over the road to the left of the two low white buildings. You’ll probably need to buy a ticket in advance (online, one week beforehand) and I recommend you add the tram down to Port de Soller. I paid €39 for the combined round trip. The modern railway station is down the escalator to the left of the left-hand low white building to level -1 and the regional bus station (red/white/yellow busses) is via another escalator to level -2. There’s a large map of all the available bus services as you enter the rail station and timetables and departure boards in various locations. Payment for the regional busses is different; you swipe your debit card or phone app as you board (one ping for each person in your group) and swipe again as you get off. I don’t know where you find the cost until your bank statement arrives but, when I was there I paid €9.60 for a return trip to Port d’Andratx and just €10.80 for a massive 4 bus 5 hour round tour via Port de Pollenca. I think the maximum daily fare was capped at €10.80 at that time. E&OE You’re welcome. Have a nice trip.

My wife and I have just stayed at the Capi Playa Hotel, Mallorca, to celebrate a birthday for a long weekend (3 nights). First of all I believe in writing reviews very fairly in complete aim to help others, and indeed the hotel if they deserve it. Upon arrival the hotel has lovely curb appeal, the outside looked great with a lovely clean/cosy pool, bar/kind of chill out area with hammocks and bean bags etc, very intimate. Reception and internal areas very clean and modern, the staff are welcoming and switch between bar service/reception duties. Check in no issue and up to the room. The room itself absolutely fine, clean and some what modern, a little tlc needed here and there but it's not 5* so happy enough. We got the East Side which unfortunately looks over some garages and rather run down looking buildings, never mind - we're there to be out and about anyway. Only upon returning back realised you could hardly sleep as the entire hotel seems to echo throughout the rest of the building (doors slamming, laughter, noise, toilets flushing, music, parties in rooms?*). We made it till dawn and decided to crack on with the next day. Understandably tired we had to call it a night but put a little music on while having a drink on the balcony. Within 10 minutes the night shift worker was beating the door down to which I panicked and ran to the door - he *near enough shouted* 'we don't do that here so turn it off', we obliged but in utter shock given the surrounding noise (honestly still other music and doors slamming all night at this point). The last day I had seen about the penthouse rooms, "bubble rooms", so I asked availability. Luckily they were free as it was a Sunday night by this point so we paid €80 to swap for the last night. This absolutely saved the weekend to be honest - great room which is everything the normal rooms have, plus then a huge terrace with another bubble bed outdoors, and a rooftop jacuzzi bath! You can see the sea, and luckily the sun came out for us which was another saving grace. Honesty even this room could do with tlc (the bubble room was filthy can hardly see out of it) but a vast improvement. Definitely request one of these rooms when booking. The gym is a laundry room which has a handful of equipment in (serves it purpose I guess?). The breakfast brunch was really disappointing - lots of items cold, variety average, meats and eggs were almost inedible due to flavouring, and 95% same on offer each day. Location is good, not too much traffic, 1 block back from beach front, loads of restaurants, loads of bars. Quick transfer from the airport. If we didn't upgrade I'd have come away really disappointed overall. I wouldn't have said it was cheap so was hoping for a little more, but we ended up happy, but had to pay for it 😊 A good weekend in the end but probably wouldn't rebook. Might just be our tastes. We've had much better for the same money.

Just got back from a week here and cannot say a bad word about this hotel. The style and design here was perfect for us we are big fans of this TENT concept and design. The. Staff are very helpful- the brunch style food service is excellent and all the public areas are stylish, comfortable and very clean. The pool area is super clean and the bar prices very good. Rooms are a little on the small side but have everything you need and the special mention for the powerful shower! Great location and if we return to Majorca would not hesitate to book again.

The hotel experience was overall good! The people at the reception made us feel like we are welcomed at the hotel. The dining people were also exceptional. So the service I would say really great. But the room is pretty basic. Small but functional. But I would never prefer single beds for couples. So check/ask before taking the room if the room has double bed. Basic toiletries like toothpaste, shampoo were missing. At this price point these things were expected. Tea,coffee, kettle options were missing also. Room was clean and they do cleaning everyday. Location is great. 2 minutes walking distance from the beach. Also the bus stops are near to hotel. Lot of restaurants and bars options are available around the hotel. Breakfast was good but not great. Food options were pretty basic but I felt it was kept like this to make sure that everyone would have something at least. You will have gluten free options as well but let them know a little earlier if you want. They add one additional dish as a lunch near around 12 pm but that was for limited people. Like I was served Wrap, Pizza, beef burger in my 3 days staying. I don’t eat beef so avoided. So this option is limited. But the people at the service are really awesome. They will make you feel so comfortable and welcoming. Overall a good experience! Location: 9/10 Service: 9 /10 Room : 6/10

Overall I had a good time, excellent hygienic conditions, excellent breakfast, very friendly staff and reception. Almost optimal quality/price ratio. In my opinion there are some things that could be improved: - gym (improve positioning of equipment) - laundry room (dryer to be upgraded) - sun loungers (dry in case of dew so you can use them in the morning) As mentioned, I am satisfied with my stay and will probably gladly return.

This hotel is perfect for beach holidays, staff are friendly and polite, the rooms were cleaned everyday with fresh towels. The breakfast buffet is just what’s needed and the fact it is on offer 0800-1330hrs is perfect for anything you want to do. It is literally situated a road back from the beach front so only 50-80 metres away with a great little supermarket on the way down. A massive improvement which would make this hotel so much better would a fridge in the room! Having cold drinks after the beach or a day in the sun is a must and with no fridge in the room this is difficult to manage. The pool isn’t the biggest hence why I say beach however, it is great for a quick dip especially in the mornings - and again this is cleaned everyday! El Patio opposite does great food and shows the football which makes it ideal and there are plenty of other restaurants nearby! This would’ve been a 5 star review had there been a fridge in the room! A parasol for the beach is a must and we found it to be windy so if you fill the cover with sand and tie it to the centre bar to weight it down!

Rooms clean, towels changed everyday. Previous reviews from last year mention no fridge or tea/coffee facilities which is still the same so no effort by management made to improve it. I say this because when the temperature is plus 30 degree's you need somewhere to keep a cold drink in the room. The aircon was fine and kept us cool. Breakfast was ok for me could be better, bacon was just fat and not cooked. All said and done staff was friendly and it's a good location
