Some of the best staff of any hotel I’ve stayed in 35 years (and I worked for an airline). Reception could not have been more friendly, helpful and accommodating. Pilar, the guest services manager, was absolutely charming. Quiet hotel in October. Good sound proofing on balcony doors (needed). Attentive staff at very good breakfast. Great pool area with loads of space overlooking the promenade and sandy beach with shallow clear water. However. Our experience of the immediate area around the hotel would, I believe, be completely different in the summer. It is a magnet for German drinkers with the “biggest beer garden in Europe” opposite the hotel. “Mega Park” Located indoors but as big as an aircraft hangar. I learnt the German expression “Ballerman” while there. Google it before you go to this area. The local government have promised to clamp down on “drinking tourism” so it would be interesting to see what it is like in July. Having said all that my 89 year old dad and I experienced no problems during the day and I saw no real misbehaviour in the evening on my own. The hotel is great but don’t go to this area in the summer if you are not a fan of Germans singing German drinking songs. Perfect for winter sun.…
This was a great holiday full of fun and lovely memories. We appreciate the hospitality, trip/adventures experience the hotel provided, great service and safe travels. We had a great day taking some spa sessions with Denis. I can recommend this hotel for family trips as well as couple holidays. Will definitely come back. Special thanks to our guest experience manager - Pilar Sanchez! Kind regards, Katya
This is not a complaint about a bunch of mishaps or anything like that. This is a hotel review. On one out of ten I told my wife I’d give it a 2. 1 star for being on the beach and 1 star because it actually exists. Outside of that there are many complaints. The air conditioner barely works. The room is smaller than suggested. The view is awful unless you are outside on the balcony looking to your left over the other balconies. Of you go on the balcony you can see the ocean. If you have a child that needs a sleeping space and the sofa is open to a bed there is no additional sitting space other than outside the room. The dresser does not have drawers. It is just to hold the coffee supplies. There is nothing included in bathroom like most hotels in terms of little lotion or mouthwash etc. there is shampoo in the shower, but it’s like a locker room where it’s a bottle with a push down to dispense. The breakfast included is not good. The coffee is watery with little coffee flavor. I suggest using the coffee machine. Eggs are lousy at best. The pastries are quite good, so stick with them. Staff was polite, so that was good.…
I would like to thank the Hotel for the courtesy I have received Three friends and I were booked to spend a week here. Unfortunately Covid struck the world The Hotel were very respectful We were kept informed and were given a full refund with no quibble I hope to visit this hotel next year all being well
Overall friendly staff at the bar and restaurants, but we had mixed results with the front desk, including when they refused to help us call to setup a sailing trip that wasn't through one of their preferred vendors (our room phone didn't work so we couldn't call ourselves). Additionally, watch out for hidden fees. The beach access is great, but it's right next to a loud club that starts at 10 AM each day.
This is a very good 4 star hotel. The location is by the beach, they have a nice pool. We stayed in a junior suite which is a great large room with a balcony overlooking the sea. The service is very good, including in restaurant. We had the half-board option, and the variety and quality of both breakfast and dinner were excellent. We tried different wines, all were good. As many others mention here, there is a noisy club right by the hotel, and many drunk and noisy tourists around, the beach is quite crowded, too. We were aware of this and still booked the hotel. If you want a real tranquility, then perhaps this is not for you, and also if you will feel annoyed by overwhelming German language, beware :) They had newspapers delivered to our room, and even though they knew we were from Armenia, we still got the German Bild regularly. All this being said, this is a very comfortable hotel with great food, nice atmosphere. There were couples, families with children of different ages, with no one bothering the others. If you look for vivid animation program, this hotel does not offer one.…
Our second stay in the hotel. Very accommodating and friendly hotel. I cannot stress how awesome our stay was. Everything was perfect. We stayed in the same room seaview which was a nice touch. We always book half board with breakfast and dinner. Lunch we had in their new sea view restaurant. The chef makes the best lamb chops which literally falls of the bone (yummy) and it is the only hotel that I have seen that does sushi Wednesday which is a treat. There is a dinner theme everyday. I Recommend when booking asking for the duty manager Pilar. She went out of her way to accommodate my little girl who is a fussy eater. Pilar made sure she had her dinner on time and made her favourites food daily. She is definitely a gem and really prides herself on customer satisfaction. The rooms were always cleaned and if you needed anything reception staff are really helpful. Our stay was a home away from home. …
Loved this hotel, with excellent staff service. Cristina answered my request for a sea view quickly and noted that we would like a high floor, which she couldn’t guarantee but we did get. Room cleaned to a high standard. Buffet breakfast was excellent, with all you could wish for and the lady on the eggs was lovely. We were there for a long weekend, so being only a ten minute taxi ride from the airport was great. Lots of great restaurants in the area? The majority of the guests to this hotel and Playa de Palma are German, so if you’re looking for English company perhaps this isn’t the place for you but we loved it. The promenade is so long you can walk for miles. The local bus is very cheap and takes you to Palma, which is lovely. A great break and we would recommend this hotel.…
I travel regularly on holiday and always stay in 4 or 5 star hotels so expect a certain level. This Hotel was FULL of large parties of men cyclists, along with their lycra, sweat and loud shoes. We were with family so this is not what we wanted nor expected, perhaps the hotel should advise people. We went out of season but I did expect a bar to be open in the evening, the only place you could get a drink was in the cafe attached to the hotel that was directly on the main street (and cold in March). you could sit in the large Bar area but it was empty no music no staff no atmosphere. The dining room was almost funny. The small staff almost never smiled ( one bald waiter who was nice) the remaining staff spent their life laying up for the next session and for their meals. The hotel said breakfast til 10.30 but if you got into the dining room past 10 you were 'frogmarched' to a table of the staff's choosing despite it being nearly empty ( cyclists eat early). At 10.25 the lights went off food was removed and the staff started to gather what they wanted onto plates presumeably for their breakfast. Same of an evening, 9 on the dot lights off, food removed to kitchen and to the staff plates. Also no info in the rooms on how to work tv's where to go how to find gym, pool etc. Only 2 US financial channels on tv that were in english nothing else.I did complain about the dining room and the reception staff were charming (the ladies anyway) and gave us free drinks, it wasn't really what we wanted, but nice. To sum up it would seem a large proportion of the staff here appear to have been here forever and have their own set ways. Staff training would benefit all. I have to say the staff in the street cafe were fabulous absolutely fabulous a whole different ballgame.…
We stayed during the Easter school holiday with our 6 and 7 year old children as we wanted a little bit of sun without having to travel too far. The hotel staff were all fantastic, from Reception to cleaner, restaurant to maintenance all made a point of saying hello and wishing us a pleasant day and talking to the children. The hotel is located in a mainly German area of Playa de Palma and this is reflected in some of the food choices at dinner, but it doesn't hurt to try new things! A lovely touch we thought was that as we didn't arrive until 21:30 the staff had plated us up four meals as they thought we would be hungry after travelling. Most hotels wouldn't have bothered so this we thought demonstrated that the staff noticed the little things which can make a difference to your stay. The hotel is less than a minute walk to the beach and bus stops which take you to Palma (€1.50 each is a bargain) directly past the aquarium which is also very good. It is also next to Megapark which I foolishly only noticed after booking. However as the rooms are double glazed we experienced no issues with this, although it was noticeably noisier on the promenade on the Saturday afternoon. We would definitely choose to stay here again out of the main summer season as it has been a lovely family break.…
