We have been going to Majorca for 9 years now 2/3 times a year staying at this hotel. Over the years there have been many improvements unfortunately we’re unlikely to stay here again. A lot of the complex was closed which meant you were enclosed in the central part of the hotel with all entrances and exits locked (surely a fire risk) apart from the main reception. We’re not the fittest people and really struggled to walk up the hills to get from the beach to the hotel. When we have stayed there previously the central gates were open and it cut off the worst part of the hills which to us made a big difference. The 35 minutes slot for meal times doesn’t work, you can spend 10 minutes of it queuing and when I’m on holiday I like to have a lay in and not have to be down to breakfast for 8 A.M!! I did think the deposit for cups worked well although it would have been nice to help yourself to soft drinks. The man who does the entertainment is quite possibly the most annoying person on this planet, how him shouting “Shaneeeeta aaaarrrooooo” every 5 minutes is considered entertaining I’ll never know. Drinks were reasonably priced considering all inclusive doesn’t mean all inclusive anymore. I think I was miss sold this holiday on that basis. It’s not the hotel’s fault as I understand the Balearic government have made it law that unlimited drinks are no longer allowed. I feel this will massively affect their economy and the tourism industry. Also there is no smoking on terraces even at the outdoor beach bars and restaurants you have to move away from the seated areas to smoke. Based on all this it’s unlikely we would return which is unfortunate as we loved it there.…
Hotel has everything what a family with small kids need to keep them close and on your eyes without the need to invest much time and energy on the beach. My recomendation is not for young people. Hotel is cheap, but need total renovation. Food was in huge quantities but quality was pretty low. Alkohol was included in restaurant during Lunch and Dinner. Outside of restaurant you need to pay for it, although all inclusive!
Booked a weeks holiday here with on the beach all inclusive. This hotel in el arenal all inclusive does not include the bar drinks. Be aware due to government law changes all inclusive does not apply to alcoholic drinks. But we were not made aware of this until booked into hotel. After speaking to on the beach, they said it is upto individuals to check on local laws. ON THE BEACH still not informing customers of the situation on there Web site. Ps all hotel in el arenal and magaluff no free alcohol. GOOD LUCK
the bad bits: a Spanish law passed last January 2020 only allows soft drinks from the bar with all inclusive, alcohol has to be purchased. you do get some alcoholic drinks, but just with lunch and dinner (max of 3 beer/wine) and meal times are allocated, so if you go out and are not back for your slot, you miss out. masks have to be worn at all times unless eating/drinking. no mixing with other guests (security come to tell you off) not much of the hotel was open when we went. good bits: rooms are adequate, kept clean..food is as you would expect from a 3 star hotel. staff are helpful.
After arriving in Palma we were taken to our hotel the Pineto which was boarded up then taken back to the airport to sort ourselves out holiday gems told me to book into another hotel for the night and would sort out the problem in the morning where they sent us to this hotel totally unsuitable for my elderly disabled friend the evening meal was disgusting and neither of us ate as was breakfast in the morning and we left as you will see by my photos who would want to stay here
