This hotel is located not far from the beach, approximately 5 minutes walk. There is a supermarket close by and, unfortunately, Bierkonig & Bamboleo pubs. Still, you don't hear much noise. There are over 400 rooms in the hotel and it's too much. The swimming pools are too small for so many guests, sunbeds are very close to each other. There is not enough space to move around and the photos make it look like everything is bigger. Still, the lobby and lobby bar are spacious. Standard room is big enough, but I suggest getting a bigger one if you are a family. The decor is new, modern and quite nice. Everything is clean and well furbished. The bathroom is also up to standard, but in a 4 star hotel I would expect something more than an ordinary shower gel. There was no shampoo, no conditioner etc. Rooms are cleaned daily. There are 2 restaurants: main and themed. Main restaurant is very big and there is enough place to eat. Food was good, very tasty and varied. As for themed restaurant "Spices" it's Spanich, Mexican and Asian cuisine. Also very nice, but Asian is the weakest one. Non alcoholic drinks are a DISASTER!!! All you get is a water that tastes of chlorine, artificial juices (awful) and sodas. There is no fresh orange juice for breakfast (or any other time) despite Mallorca having their own orange groves. Coffee was ok, but I've drank better - make sure you order it at the bar, not from the cofee machine (undrinkable). There are no non-alcoholic coctails available. As for the alcohol, I will say the same thing as other people - DO NOT CALL IT ALL INCLUSIVE WHEN YOU CAN'T SERVE ALCOHOL. This is a full board hotel and you should change it. What's more, the prices of alcohol are moderate-high. Entertainment - there is only one employee who runs all of the entertainment. And unfortunately, it shows. I have no complaints regarding his work, he did his best, but there should be someone else to do it with him. Side note, there aren't any entertainment for kids (no kids pool or playground as well). Service - all was well. They are nice, competent, friendly. If you really want to relax and see more than bars at the beach, choose a hotel in a less populated area. Still, if you want to go sightseeing, you are close to Palma de Mallorce and access to the island is easy. All in all, I enjoyed myself, but would not come back to this hotel. It's not bad, it's average.

Dear Ania_Zosia_N, Many thanks for sharing your valuable review. It is great to hear you appreciated your room´s comfort and cleanliness, the hotel´s beautiful, modern decoration and the accommodating and attentive service of our staff members. On the other hand, it's unfortunate to learn that you weren't completely satisfied with your recent experience as our aim is to make our guests feel at home from the moment they step into our resort. Please note that the current lack of amenities is because of our strict anti-covid-19 protocols, which has been implemented to safeguard our guests and employees. We would have liked to have been informed about your wishes during your stay as many of the mentioned amenities are available to customers at our reception. We are also very sorry to hear your disappointment regarding the drinks during your stay with us. We indicate on all our booking channels, what is included in our All-Inclusive program - taking into account Regulation 1/202 to improve quality in tourist areas Balearic Islands Government Official Gazette BOIB No. 10 of 23 January 2020. We regret the misinformation and we are looking forward to having the opportunity to better serve you in the future. We remain with warm regards, Hotel Riu Playa Park Online Reputation Manager

The 0'0 All Inclusive* is very misleading. Full board would be a better description. Alcohol drinks are not included in the all inclusive price and must be purchased separately which is in line with local laws which I understand where introduced during 2020? Any alcohol purchased is added to your room, fortunately I requested a bill updated from reception after 5 days and was a little surprised to find a € 300 bar bill? Please beware. Overall the hotel is very good. I would prefer a room closer to the lifts as the furthest rooms are quite a walk. COVID rules are very good but I felt the staff in the dinning rooms were stretched at the busier times. For an hotel of this caliber more staff should be in place to assist at the busier times. There are just enough sun beds but I would question the cleanness of them throughout the day and if they are being cleaned after use or at the end of each day? You also need to be an early riser to get a decent spot as beds are reserve with towels? All staff are very friendly and welcoming. Over all a great stay at this hotel.

Although TUI belgium’s definition of All Inclusive is clear on their own website (‘all food and drinks for free...’) they are selling this hotel as all inclusive while it isn’t: not a single alcoholic beverage is included in this package. This while on Riu.com and Booking.com you are immediately made clear that this now is a ‘0,0 All inclusive’ hotel. On top of that at check in we had to pay 46,2€ tourist tax. Again where Booking.com and Riu clearly state the cost of this, no amount is even mentioned on TUI.be. A disgrace! The RIU Playa Park is a modern, nicely designed hotel although the rooms are a bit ‘clinical’ for my taste. But clean they sure are! Covid rules are well adhered to. The staff is super friendly. The food is good (all meals in buffet style). We stayed here shortly after reopening the island so at first is was very quiet. At the end of the week the hotel was getting pretty full already though. I totally understand that local authorities decided it is not allowed for hotels in this area to offer all inclusive anymore! The mega-bars just a few minutes walk away from the hotel attract young and (very) drunk customers who tend to forget there are still masks to be worn nearly everywhere among others. All these huge bars were still closed for now but even then we already saw a few bad examples... We enjoyed the hotel but would never return being afraid that a good night sleep is simply not possible in this neighborhood in ‘normal’ times. I was a bit disappointed that the manager was not even willing to hear about the problem we had at booking through TUI. I agree it is not her fault but in the end she should have realized that my review was not going to be fantastic; this was not worth the money because we did not get what we paid for. Please talk to TUI!

Dear Guest, Thank you for taking the time to send your feedback following your recent stay with us. We are glad to see that the staff that you encountered were pleasant and friendly, and that you enjoyed our passionately prepared gastronomy. Furthermore, it is good to hear that our newly built hotel fulfilled your expectations. On the other hand, we are sorry to hear that you probably were not informed. We always comply with the local laws, and as you described correctly the offered All Inclusive program, takes into account Regulation 1/202 against tourism excesses to improve quality in tourist areas (Balearic Official Gazette BOIB No. 10 of 23 January 2020). As you have not directly booked through us, we recommend you to contact your travel agency for further questions in regards to your booking. Despite this inconvenience, we hope to welcome you to one of our worldwide available hotels. With our best wishes we remain, Hotel Riu Playa Park Online Reputation Manager

In corona times, this was one of the first hotels to open in 2021 (and all new hotel). It is located Schinkenstrasse, but there was no nois at all. Very empty as the whole area when I arrived. But now there should be more people. The only negative was, I booked all inclusive without alcohol. But I think at current time there are no party hotels open. There is even a doctor in the hotel every day for Corona testing (they speak german), for those who need it to fly back to Germany, I payed 30.

All beds are ‘reserved’ at 8am with hotel towels never to be used the whole day. The pool area has a population of less than 50% all day as beds lie empty for the duration. The lifeguards are unwilling to do anything and the manager at reception said there was nothing he could do. I showed him a copy of their own hotel policy that states “we request our esteemed guests do not reserve sun loungers with clothes or other items. Hotel staff may remove these items if needed.” He still said he couldn’t do anything. The hotel needs to stamp out this practice of bed reservation. It’s entirely counter productive. Day in the room for me I guess! What a nonsense.

Dear Guest, Thank you for sharing you concerns with us. We are very surprised by your words as according to our policy, we do not allow sunbeds to be reserved at the pool and usually we do our best to deal with this unfair practice. Authorized staff collect any towels left behind by hotel guests during the night or early morning, so that fair access to sun loungers is provided. We are also using a towel card system, in order to keep check of the towels and minimize this practice. We are sorry to learn that not every guest complies with this rule. Our Executive Team is reviewing your comments to ensure they are used to improve our guest's experience. Thank you again for your feedback and hope to host you someday again!
