Excellent facilities and service at BG Caballero. We stayed in the new part of the hotel during our trip. The room was spacious, fresh and clean and had everything we needed. The room was quiet and proper dark thanks to the curtains. Airconditioning worked flawlessly. The staff suprised us with a bottle of Cava on ice on the day we arrived, a very nice touch! Room was cleaned daily, including fresh towels, new bottles of water (with everything in the mini fridge being complimentary). The big shower was also excellent. Staff was friendly, always greeting us. Breakfast was OK: buffet-style with plentyful options of things such as yogurt, bread, freshly prepared eggs, and pastries. The swimming pool and facilities were all clean and well taken care of. Enough beds (during our stay) surrounding the pool. Lunch and drinks at the bar were also great. Overall we had a wonderful stay here and can definitely recommend booking.

The overall stay was ok. The money/ value ratio is good compared with the prices that other hotels offer in the same area. In Palma Center, the room prices are extremely high compared to this one. Considering we didn’t plan to spend too much time inside, we ignored some aspects that weren’t aligned to the quality standards of the hotels we usually book. The room: - the pictures on the booking site looked better than the actual room - it is spacious enough for 2 people - the place is clean - the furniture inside requires renewal from my point of view. The blanket from the bed had stains, the floor right next to the night stand had red stains, the bathroom toilet paper stand had rust, the table on the balcony looked kinda old, etc - the bathroom sink had issues. It had too much pressure/ is pointed weirdly so almost everytime we tried washing our hands we ended up with some water on our clothes - the balcony is large enough and you can enjoy a nice morning snack/ evening talks with your friends there. The breakfast - it offers a variety of items: fruits, hams, pastries, cereals, etc. You can serve it indoor or outdoor. It is ok, but not impressive - the Covid safety measures are ok, at least from the staff efforts. There were now and then people who coughed/ walked to get the food without a mask, but most of the time they were spotted by the staff and asked to use their masks. - the coffee is really bad. I really suggest investing money in buying newer coffee machines/ better coffee. The coffee really ruins the breakfast experience. - it tends to get very crowded. Seems like most people are very early eaters. However the staff was very helpful in finding everyone a table. The hotel itself: - the checkin is at 16:00. It is a bit late for my preference, compared to other places we booked - the location is amazing if you are planning to spend most of your time in Playa de Palma, bathing in the sea, etc. Otherwise you will have to spend at least 1h each day traveling to/ back from Palma. It can get frustrating at times. - the beach is 3 min from the hotel. - two markets for groceries are 5-7 mins away - the bus station is also very close. Line 25 goes to Palma center, and the bus ticket costs 2€/ ride. - various restaurants are available very close. - the reception staff is very kind and helped us with different restaurant suggestions, etc.

Nice hotel in a great location. Cleaners and waitresses are very friendly and helpful. Reception staff and management seemed rather cold with us. We stayed here for 12 days and management said hello once from the entrance of the dining hall, where they were everyday saying hello to other guests. When checking in at reception, the staff spoke little English and made no effort to inform us of the facilities and amenities on offer at the hotel, never mind a map or introduction to the area and public transport! Food is delicious and a good range, I think a bit more of a varied range would be better though. We stayed in the old rooms (non-superior) and overall it was clean but there was a lot of dust and I cleaned the air-con, ceiling fan, balcony and bedside tables myself! The bathroom was like a dark and dingy prison cell! The walls are very thing and we heard everything our neighbouring guests were doing… Two small elevators available which are just not enough for all the guests. A lot of frustration was felt due to this matter from ourselves and other guests especially those with luggage. Pool areas are great, minus the same album playing on repeat, tormenting the sunbathers, including myself. For god sake change the music regularly! There was barely any entertainment or night life in the hotel. When there was it was barely lit up as if they didn’t want people to come to begin with. Dining room got VERY busy and crowded at times, often at full capacity. Late check out was not possible but the luggage room was useful thought one shower for each gender led to long waits. Overall a nice hotel but I would probably not stay here again, I think there are better places in the local area.
