Perfect hotel for a quick trip. Rooms are nice, we stayed in a Junior Suite which is worth the extra money. Food was good, great selection. Paying the extra for star prestige is a MUST - you get access to the rooftop pool and a selection of unlimited alcoholic drinks. It depends what you are looking for but the area is not great, we only left the hotel to go to Palma itself for shopping/food. Special thanks to Natalie who went that extra mile to make our stay the best it could be.

Hotel's Favorite
I loved this Hotel. Its only a 6 minute taxi ride from the airport, and has the best rooftop terrace I've experienced.. I upgraded to Star Prestige, and its definitely worth it so that you can stay on the 6th floor of the hotel, and access the sun terrace. the only thing that I could criticise about the hotel is that, surprisingly, there was no double beds in the rooms, only 2 singles stuck together. comfortable, but not great for couples. the views from the terrace across the Bay of Palma are stunning, and you are only a 200 yard walk to the beach. the resort is probably not the best, being full of German teenagers, but the atmosphere was great, and I actually enjoyed the liveliness. a definite return for me and my wife.

Iberstar selection llaut palma is a clean modern hotel, rooms are large although requested a double room this is actually two single beds pushed together. The hotel is free of disposable plastics which is positive. Shower was very large glass box in the room itself, there was no were to hang a towel in this box which made it a little impractical to get dry and dressed as you had to leave the shower cubicle to get dry in the vestibule which was not ideal. We were booked in the hotel for room only and were offered breakfast at €22 per person or €15 per person if you booked breakfast all week we did not take up this offer as meals in the area are far cheaper and a small cafe across the road did an excellent omelette and coffee for half the price. Our room was on the second floor we were offered one on the fifth floor at an additional cost of €25 a night which we declined I also understand there is a further prestige option but this was not offered. The hotel provide a free bottle of water on arrival and 4 coffee pods for the coffee machine, I found it disappointing that facilitates were available to make coffee with the machine but further pods were charged at €6 for 4. It is these small things which are annoying when you have already paid to stay in a 5 star hotel. The resort of playa de palma is very rowdy due to its proximity to S’Arenal which is the German equivalent of Magaluf every bar and restaurant caters for the German young tourists who like the English equivalent are intoxicated and loud. For this reason I would not book a holiday in the same area again. On the positive side there is a good promenade which allows you to walk from each resort and C’an Pastilla is a lovely quite resort which is also accessible by a small train journey or bus ride. Palma is also easily accessed by bus (23 or 25) at a cost of €1.50 per person.

Good things: > Lovely large rooms > Good breakfast selection (although it wasn't consistent throughout our stay) > Polite staff. Attentiveness was sporadic though. > Close to the beach > Drinks in the Star Prestige area were great > Bed was comfy Bad things that the hotel cannot fix: > Hotel is located in the German version of Magaluf. I don't mind Germans at all but drunk teenagers passed out on the beach is not my thing, it's a party area. > The majority of restaurants cater for the above although we did find a few nice ones > There is a lot of general noise, chanting and bad music from surrounding bars catering for the drunk Germans. > Mega Park is next door, I never want to visit this dump. > You can still hear plenty of noise in the rooms at night. Bad things the hotel COULD fix: > We had a Star Prestige (a.k.a Club) room with access to the rooftop solarium and pool. This area was cramped with not enough shade provided. One day we had to take cover by sitting on the side of the pool as that was the only shade on offer. I did ask twice for an umbrella. 2 members of staff went 'to look' but I heard nothing more. So sitting on the side of the pool it was rather than relaxing on a sun lounger. > The snack selection in this area is limited, but If you like a ham and cheese toastie made behind the bar or mini cakes sat in the warm all day then you'll be ok. > Service in this area was hit and miss. Some days you would get service at your sun bed with a bowl of nuts. Other days there would be 1 disinterested member of staff who you had to find and ask for a drink. Yes this is being picky but this is advertised as 5* and we paid extra to upgrade. It was definitely not worth it. I don't think many of the staff have 5* hotel experience. Things I wish I'd known before booking: > This hotel is in the middle of German's party town > The Star Prestige advertised free snacks but doesn't cater for dietary requirements. > The 'pool' on the roof top is only 35cm deep, but they do have floating sun loungers. Wouldn't recommend and won't be back (mainly due to the area). I didn't find this the relaxing holiday I was after.

Dear Kim, Thank you for staying at our popular, sun-bound establishment and for sharing your opinions, Firstly, regarding location, as the area can become populated with tourists due to the peak season it can be noisy at times and as our hard-working employees aim to ensure that all of our guests have a peaceful and relaxing break, it can be challenging to achieve. However, we always try to make sure noise levels are kept at a minimum level. On the other hand, thank you for praising our exceptional staff, we hire the most qualified and experienced individuals that strive to go above and beyond for our clients. Although, at times you felt this was not the case, we hope your overall impression is the latter as our employees really do care about the well-being of our guests. Furthermore, regarding our exclusive prestige area, we do not usually receive comments regarding this. However, as we highly regard customer feedback, we will take your improvement recommendations into consideration. Lastly, we hope to accommodate you in one of our other Iberostar hotels as rest-assured we have an establishment to cater to all your needs and desires. Until then, we wish you all the best and we trust you had a safe journey home. Best regards, Quality Manager, Iberostar Selection Llaut Palma

Hotel was great, rooms big and impressive. We stayed for two nights as it was by the airport and we had an early flight, prior to this we were in Soller. Didn't realise that Playa de Palma was Arenal full of young happy go lucky holiday makers drinking the day away. Booked for evening meals and I have to say that we have been to the Iberostar in Fuertaventura and the food was much better and selection far better than this hotel.
