Hotel Beatriz Playa & Spa offers a range of amenities favored by guests, such as its beach access, food variety, and pools. However, the hotel frequently receives criticism for its dated rooms and need for refurbishment. While the staff is often commended for their friendly service, experiences of rudeness and noise disruptions from nearby airplanes and ongoing maintenance have marred the opinions of some travelers. Despite its convenient location near the airport and local attractions, the hotel's value proposition is questioned, with guests pointing out additional costs and underwhelming food and facility quality.

So itā€™s our first time here .. we was meant to be staying at the Sol just a few doors down but got changed to here & we honestly have had a fab 2 weeks all 7 of us ! Thank you Claudia & Jorge weā€™ve all loved your high energy & fun that you brought us all even though itā€™s a difficult time. ā€˜Boss ladyā€™ Anastasia & life guard were brilliant in the mornings making sure no one stole the beds for the day whilst they buggered off to the beach !! Always so friendly & helpful.
Food wise - ok I admit it could be better.. more varied , more themed nights & more to suit Peopleā€™s needs etc, But itā€™s All inclusive .. we all know itā€™s Buffett quick turnover food!!! You should be able to grab a tea or coffee in the mornings earlier so the machines should be on all the time.
Hotel very clean and staff always lovely - the bar staff seem a bit stressed so they could do with an extra pair of hands and the bar by the pool opening.
Room lovely and clean and each day fresh towels & cleaned. Cuban Trio were great!!
Iā€™d like to see dedicated recycling bins As the plastic is beyond comprehension!!
But we have had such a great time honestly .
The palm trees and waterfalls are beautiful - spa is just beautiful and very tranquil.
A kettle would be lovely in the room but you can hire one at ā‚¬2.20 per day.
We wish you all the very best during these difficult times and thank you for our lovely stay.

Stayed for seven days, check in easy you pay three euros a day for room safe,if you stay for seven days you get a free visit to the spa.
The hotel is big and it can be hard to find your way around, the room was good and maid service every day,all rooms face towards the sea or to the sides not to the rear.
On half board, breakfast very good, lots of choice and dinner also, have to pay for drinks with dinner but I expect if on all inclusive itā€™s free.a word to the manager, get another hot water heater for making tea.
Only saw the night entertainment once, not very good so went to the commercial centre up the road.
Be aware of aircraft noise as the hotel is near the airport and the promenade in front is being worked on but no problems.
This was my second visit and I hope to be back next year.

Arrived at the hotel early and were very pleased to be able to check in straight away.Ā Ā Ā  Hotel reception is very spacious and well decorated, and the staff were very friendly.Ā  We were directed to our room and advised the buffet breakfast would be served downstairs.Ā  We got the lift up to our room, the corridors looked a bit tired and could do with a brightening up a bit.Ā  We had booked a superior double room with a sea view and were slightly worried when we arrived at our door as it was quite tatty with paint peeling off.Ā  However, on opening the door we found the room to be bright and exceptionally clean (the rooms are cleaned every day).Ā  Lovely new bathroom, 2 single beds, plenty of wardrobe space and storage, a large sofa, coffee table laid out with food, water, fruit and best of all a gorgeous sea view.Ā  We were surprised to find that there was no kettle/tea/coffee facilities provided in the room (especially as we had booked a superior room) and somewhat disappointed to be advised that this could be provided but for an extra fee.Ā  I think this is the first place we have ever stayed in where this has not been provided as standard! The terrace had a table and two chairs and a pull out airer. It would have been nice to have more comfortable reclining chairs. The door to the terrace was very difficult to open but this was sorted very quickly. It would have been helpful to have a welcome pack in the room (or been advised by reception) as we missed the first nightā€™s entertainment.Ā  It was only when we went down to breakfast in the morning that we saw the noticeboard showing the nightly entertainment. The breakfast buffet was very good and catered for all tastes, the staff kept the area very clean, immediately clearing tables and laying out for new guests.Ā  We never had a problem finding a table and didnā€™t have to queue for anything (not sure this would be the same at peak holiday times).Ā  The hotel is huge, exceptionally clean, and has plenty of areas to sit and relax on comfy chairs and sofas.Ā  There is a spa and fitness room downstairs as well as a games room and a small parade of shops.Ā  The pool area was lovely with plenty of sunbeds and parasol shades.Ā  The hotel is very close to the airport and although we loved the fact that we could watch the planes coming in to land (and sometimes take off) this may not suit everyone.Ā  We had a lovely week, and would definitely recommend.

Just got home from a 10 day holiday with my wife, daughter, son in law and 3 grandsons. This was our second visit to this hotel but since our first visit 2 years ago...things have gone very much downhill...We stayed all inclusive and we were in rooms 3036 and 3037. Firstly as we are still in the middle of a pandemic the holiday only took place because Ryanair donā€™t give refunds so it was go On holiday or lose Ā£2k in flight money so we decided to go. Check in was quick and easy and reception staff polite and efficient. Rooms were ok but nothing special. Hotel looked to be about half full so no problem with sun beds or queues for anything. Restaurant was clean and efficient but the food was very much below average. Everything was Luke warm pretty much tasteless and not very appealing. Adults are vegetarian which made the choice even more Limited This was disappointing as the all inclusive package is a major part of the holiday. Kids were ok as there was always pizza chips burgers etc. Bar was again ok drinks were poor quality and the beer was pretty much disgusting. Rooms were sort of cleaned each day but you could never smell any cleaning fluids. There was what looked like a strawberry milk shake stain on the floor of the lift which was their for our entire stay so the cleanliness of the hotel left a lot to be desired. ( during a pandemic this was definitely not acceptable)

One thing you must remember!

Everyone including the kids have to wear a face covering ALL the time. Only exceptions are when you are eating or drinking, in the bar, restaurant, or sat on your sun lounger and in the pool.
We were ā€œtold offā€ several times in the beginning which was really annoying because they donā€™t ever make exceptions. When you are in the restaurant eating your meal, if you want to go and get a drink you have to put your mask on to get it. If you donā€™t they chase after you and tell you off....other things to mention, pool towels are free but you can only change once during your stay, safe was 30 euros for the 10 days, we never switched the TV on but the Wi-Fi was pretty good but sometimes a little erratic. Two onsite alternative restaurants (Italian and Oriental) could be booked once during our stay which we did but to be honest the pizzeria was truly disgusting
I Will never be going back here as there are lots of much better hotels in the area. We still had a fantastic holiday but only due to the fact that as a family we all enjoyed each otherā€™s company and the children had 10 days of fabulous sunshine beside the swimming pools. We now have 14 days quarantine but to be honest, the break from routine was worth it.

Dear guest, We deeply regret that your experience has been negative this time. We are sorry that the food and cleanliness did not live up to your expectations. Cleanliness and food service are two important aspects for us and we try to maintain a more than acceptable service in this regard. On the other hand, we also regret that you felt uncomfortable with the safety and hygiene measures. For us, the health of our visitors and our staff is the most important thing and we try to work hard to achieve this. That is why we have to be strict about health and safety measures. We hope that you can give us another opportunity in other circumstances to return for a third time to see that the holidays here are exceptional. Have just returned from this hotel and feel very disappointed considering what we paid for our holiday.
Good points and these are very minimal. Receptionist Maria who checked us in was very courteous and helpful. Requested room beside lift which we got but lift out of order for 1.5 days. Wardrobe door jammed and clothes line on balcony came away from the wall. Safe would not work properly as batteries were low. On a positive note these issues were dealt with quickly. Our room 0321 was very spacious and the room maids were extremely pleasant and gave us extra towels and pillows which we requested. Now for the numerous negatives. Staff in the restaurant with the exception of Marcus, Quan Antonio and a lovely chap from Ghana (hope I have their names correct) were rude, unfriendly and extremely unhelpful. It gets better Lourde who would appear to be in a supervisory role has to be the most ignorant individual I have ever encountered. Manners would not be her forte, in fact she seems to think being extremely rude to everyone she encounters is acceptable. She literally snapped 2 plates out of my hand one morning and sent me packing. This morning I was going to sit at a table and she ordered me to sit elsewhere. We were half board and it was not good. Breakfast was ok, lovely fresh fruit but tea and coffee very cold as was English breakfast. Breads were lovely. Dinner was disastrous. Cold and sloppy looking dishes on display and very similar most evenings. Fresh fish cooked was very nice and if one liked salads then you were on the pig's back but if not forget the vegetables as they were disgusting looking. Deserts were edible but nothing special. Ice cream was very nice so no major complaints. Wine was actually very nice as were the minerals. It would be a help if they assigned a section for people with walking issues as sometimes it was difficult to find a table and this could be irritating. Check out war fine and once again the Male receptionist was very helpful with our luggage as was his female colleague when we departed for the airport. Would I return again, definitely not and would not recommend to friends or family. However I should add that the entertainment staff were absolutely wonderful at their job, and the nightly shows were very pleasant.

We stayed in this hotel 27th July for a week. We booked a standard twin room there was a sofa bed for our son. We were in room 95 directly above the bar. It was very very loud. One morning we we woken up at 7am by staff cleaning the bar area. If you want a relaxing holiday do not stay here. The room was very tired and dated- nothing like advertised, there was 1 plug point so everything had to be charged on the floor by the bathroom.
It felt like weā€™d stepped into the 1970ā€™s , I asked about upgrading and was told it was a extra 16 euro a night for a more modern room but there were none available ( the hotel was mostly empty!).
The beds were quite comfortable but only 1 pillow provided.
I have stayed at many all inclusive resorts and this is the first where the food was so bad I couldnā€™t eat at the hotel. Food was cold, not labelled and there was not a great deal of variety. The area has lots of local restaurants I suggest you eat at them.
The staff seemed nice enough- we complained about our room and they just looked at me blankly- i was only there a week and didnā€™t want to waste it arguing with the hotel. To extend our check out from 12 to 4pm was 35 euros, despite the hotel being mostly empty.

Pool was nice. Not to get a sun lounger as quite a small area given the size of the hotel, we arrived on Monday and were able to get a sun lounger by Friday! The hotel is close to the beach but no hotel sun loungers there and you cannot use hotel facilities whilst on beach.

It was clean and covid safe.

I would not stay in this hotel again. If you are travelling to Lanzarote I would highly recommend paradise island in Lanzarote we have stayed there twice and itā€™s lovely.

Dear Emma, we are very sorry to read that your experience was not as positive as we would have liked, but we understand that you share your impressions. In any case, we would like to qualify some information about everything you write in your review. We understand that our hotel structure may generate more noise than usual in certain areas, but at no time do we refuse to upgrade your room. In any case, contrary to what you indicate, the hotel has not been empty during the last week because we are also welcoming the guests of Hotel Beatriz Costa & Spa, which remains closed for the time being. Regarding the Wifi, since we put the free connection in the whole hotel we have not had a single complaint about it. It is also the system our staff works with and we have always been able to connect normally. About certain facilities, we hope you understand that the current situation forces us to modify our All Inclusive protocols, as well as to reduce the number of sun beds to guarantee the safety distance. However, we also want you to let you know that we take our guests' comments very seriously and will take note of all your feedback with the aim of further improving. Please feel free to contact us again for anything you need. We are at your disposal. Best regards, Javier Rodriguez, Director of Hotel Beatriz Playa & SPA.

Originally we were booked to stay in the lovely hotel Beatriz Costa and spa but 2 days before our arrival we were told it is not opening and so we were being transferred to this hotel (playa and spa). When finding this out we read the trip advisor reviews and from seeing the trip advisor rating was lower than the hotel we originally booked, we wanted to see if we could change hotels. We rang our travel agent and they said this would be fine, however, the hotel refused to move us and said we had to stay with them, which was annoying but we didnā€™t have a choice (and we couldnā€™t cancel as we wouldnā€™t get any money back).
So we decided to go in with high hopes and be grateful that weā€™re still able to go on holiday. When we arrived we were greeted by lovely reception staff who explained everything efficiently to us. The room was basic and beds were comfy, tv channels were no use to English people unless you wanted to watch 1 news channel. However thatā€™s not important.
We were booked in as all inclusive since we wanted the wide range of food and drinks, but I wish we never bothered due to the food being...inedible. I donā€™t know how they are allowed to serve the food they put out. There was hardly any choice, it wasnā€™t labelled so half the time you didnā€™t know what you were picking up! It was either too sloppy or burnt to a crisp. We stayed for 9 nights and we ate out at restaurants 5/9 nights because it was that awful.
Secondly, the bar staff, they got my drinks order wrong, 4x in a row! The lemonade needed changing and it took them about 15 hours to change it, so I couldnā€™t even have the drink I wanted, I paid for all inclusive so I expect everything to be there.
Moving on, entertainment was okay, aside from listening to the same 3 songs every day, they did have some fun games to join in on.
Lastly, some of the staff were very rude regarding face masks, as one time in particular myself and my partner were in the arcade room (in which it is EXTREMELY hot in there) this means it is quite difficult to breathe comfortably with a mask on, so one time we were the only ones in there and so decided to pull our masks down slightly and a security man can stomping in making aggressive actions at us to put our masks on and then watched us from outside the arcade, thatā€™s not how you treat guests who are paying over Ā£1000 to stay in your hotel.

I will never stay here again, Iā€™ve never had such a horrible experience with such rude staff and disgusting food.
And to top it all off a transfer was never arranged for us to get to the airport on the way back and reception were little to no help at all!

Dear guest, Thank you for giving us your impressions in such detail. These comments are of great value as they do not help to identify areas where we can improve. We regret that you have had some inconvenience with the change of hotel, currently our team is working as hard as possible to provide the best experience within the circumstances. We do this, and are made aware of the many positive messages we have received from the various networks and opinion portals. On the other hand, we regret that you have felt uncomfortable with our team and for working hard to ensure that each and every visitor complies with health and safety measures regardless of the price of their reservation. We are just trying to keep the COVID away from the hotel and hope that everyone will have a little understanding and patience in this regard. However, we will take note of your comments in order to improve for the future. We hope you can give us a second chance and return to the hotel in other circumstances. Anybody travelling from England, be reassured that this hotel is cleaner and safer than anywhere Iā€™ve ever been! The staff are so friendly and the moment you step into the hotel you can tell it is well looked after. If you are going for all inclusive during the current pandemic, be aware that a few of the usual restaurants and events in the hotel are closed but it didnā€™t bother us as we knew that would be expected. The Buffet breakfast was ok, LUNCH WAS INCREDIBLE and dinner was also ok but thatā€™s to my personal taste. The food was cooked fantastically and was great quality It was just a little repetitive. The check in and out was super quick and everything was very organised and straight forward. You do have to wear a mask at all times unless in your room or the pool but again itā€™s a pandemic so itā€™s reassuring the hotel cared about our safety, hand sanitisers were available everywhere also. We went as a couple, but are considering taking our children back here next year as it was so good. The hotel is right on the beach you can walk out a side gate by the pool of the hotel and the beach is less than 1 minute walk away! The shops, bars and other restaurants were about 5 minutes away so everything is in such a good distance. On your way to the shop you will see a shop for renting bikes, I highly recommend renting one from the lovely man we got an electric bike each for ā‚¬60 for 24 hours and you can ride along the beach all the way to costa Teguise, the electric bikes are so easy too you hardly have to peddle lol. The resort entertainment team, I remember one name ā€œGorge?ā€ He was hilarious and entertained kids and adults around the pool, he was a joy to be around! They played English and Spanish music, also did Bingo one night and called the numbers in 5 different languages so everyone could join in!

Honestly this hotel should be 5 stars, anyone who comes here and doesnā€™t have a good time itā€™s down to them not the hotel! Thank you for an amazing holiday!

I booked the beatriz for myself and my mother for christmas. The hotel all inclusive for ā‚¬2900. Shocking! On arrival at 12 I went to the pool bar to ask for water. The not so nice waiter informed me that it is only free from 6pm at kids disco. When I said I would pay he was a little nicer but charger ā‚¬10 for 4 small bottles of water. The rooms are stuffy. The air con is bad. The cleaners don't like when you want clean sheets, they weren't impressed when I pulled the sheets off for them to change after 5 days of making a bed without clean sheets. There is one receptionist, beautiful girl who was very pleasant. Would I recommend this hotel? No. I stayed in sol 2 years ago and standards are higher and food better. I will be back to matagorda, I just will not be back to the beatriz.

My friend and I have just returned from our 6th visit to the Beatriz Playa, 5 times with T.Cook and this time with Jet 2. We stayed in a refurbished room 3091 with a lovely sea view. We had a kettle with tea/coffee being refilled daily, a fridge, tv, wifi (which was very good) all was supplied free of charge the only thing we had to pay for was the safe which we find is usual in Spanish hotels. The room was cleaned daily by a lovely friendly maid. Towels changed when requested and the bedding changed. We cannot understand some of the reviews that say this did not happen. There were a few lovely touches from the hotel that made the holiday a bit special e.g. welcome drink and biscuits in our room, a bottle of bubbly for my friends birthday and a little bag of goodies when we checked out. We can honestly say we found all the staff in all areas very helpful and pleasant. We stayed half board this time and in the restaurant we found a good choice of food and a table easy to find. The pool area is lovely and the outside grounds are kept very well. We cannot fault this hotel, Thankyou Beatriz Playa we look forward to seeing you next year.

We booked a shuttle bus through our travel agent. However, the hotel is literally 5 mins taxi. You can actually see the hotel from the airport it's that close. You can pre-book a taxi or book when you arrive. There's are plenty of taxi drivers waiting. And its very cheap. I hope that helps.
