I really liked the heated outdoor pool (28 degrees). There were lots of sunbeds and some were out of the wind. You can get a token for a pool towel from reception. Lunch at the pool bar was pleasant and calm with less choice than the main restaurant, but nicely displayed. The restaurant, bar for evening entertainment and souvenir shops are on level -1. Personally I didn’t like the layout, design or appearance of the hotel. You can get bottles of water from the evening bar. The evening entertainment was good (except for the magic circus show) and daytime was OK. My room was large with a fridge but very little storage. The balcony overlooked the car park and never got any sun. TV only English channels are BBC World and France 24. It was interesting to watch Canary Island news about the volcano on La Palma. WiFi ok in the room. If you hire the safe for a week you get a free entry ticket to the spa. The bathroom again was large with soap, sachets of shower gel and shampoo but no shower curtain so the floor got soaked (it was not a wet room). The spa has a circuit of heated jets as well as a jacuzzi, Hamman and sauna. I recommend trying this for a couple of hours and getting there when it opens as there is limited capacity. Due to covid you get shown to a table at meal times which I liked. The food was a bit hit and miss. Masks have to be worn everywhere except whilst sunbathing or eating. Only one group of people allowed in lift at one time but I never had to wait. Limited between meal snacks just filled rolls, fruit and cake. Do go to the beach by the hotel Its lovely to sit on the rocks at the back of the sand and watch the waves and also go swimming. Sunbeds are available on the beach about 10 minutes’ walk away outside the Sol Hotel. The quickest way to the shops is out of the front of the hotel turning left and walking through Las Gaviotas apartness and along the path through the palm tree filled gardens.

Currently coming to the end of our 10 day holiday at the hotel, weather has been fantastic but a massive shout to the animation team, especially Sten , always smiling and making guests feel welcome, inclusive and looked after, a real asset to the Beatriz Playa. They have kept everyone entertain even when they themselves are bound by Covid restrictions. Usual pool games etc are stopped to avoid unnecessary overcrowding, even Tapi is in quarantine !! But activities do exist, aqua gym, dance lessons (helps with animation team dance.. (whoop-whoop) and poolside bingo (69- dinner for 2). The music choice is mellow and sublime, great to relax to. Kids and adults alike, all entertained. The evening entertaiment is very good, especially the magic show. People will always find fault, but these guys are going beyond.... well done and thank you for making this an exceptional holiday !

Stayed at this hotel in October and November, the rooms are large and clean if just a little dated. The pool area is quite small copaired to the size of the hotel. The sun beds are very very close together. The pool area could do with more attention to cleaning as when you look around its quite grubby. The restaurant is very clean and there is a good selection of food. We found that breakfast was the best meal of the day with a selection to suit every one and having Cave was a bonus. The pool bar was good and the staff friendly just didn't like the plastic glasses but we know they have to use them. The bar in the evening was very noisy as the entertainment was in there and would be a good idea to have a quiet bar. Reception staff were very helpful and sorted the small problems we had quickly and efficiently. The animation team were fantastic even if we did have to put up with same club dance for 28 days lol. But we would like to thank Sten, Claudia and Christina for being so nice and welcoming, thanks to all three of you.

Booked through Jet2 for five nights here we slept there one night I wouldn’t let my dog stay there, the food was terrible the rooms was dirty with dirty sheets and holes. The poles aren’t big enough to accommodate the amount of people that are staying there. We slept there one night and then called Jet2 to arrange an aeroplane home we were so unhappy luckily they changed us to the sol Lanzarote Which was 1000 times better I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone. Also the staff were rude and very unhelpful not very informative either.

My partner and I booked this hotel literally 2 days before we were going. We wanted a bit of winter sun and being limited in November without wanting to fly long haul, we decided on Lanzarote and this hotel. We didn't book a transfer as a taxi to/from the airport was just under €10! And it was about a 7 minute journey, the taxi rank was right outside the departure doors as well so really quick and easy so definately recommend a taxi. Our first impressions on arrival- hotel was lovely and spacious. However when we tried to book in, they couldn't find our reservation. We had to wait about 30 mins (whilst they were seeing to other guests) and in the end I had to actually send them over our confirmation Via email. The receptionists weren't very friendly, nor apologetic for the delay and the issue, which didn't bode well with us and reception is the face of the hotel! The location was perfect- right on the beach so you could have a lovely morning/evening stroll and a short walk to the shops that were just down the road. There were plenty of bars and eateries also if you wanted to eat/drink outside the hotel. The room was okay- not 4* quality as previous 4* hotels I've been in before- as the toilet seat was coming off and the shower tap was really lose, so didnt want to jiggle too much in case it fell out the wall. but on the plus size the shower was hot and fast and the rooms were really spacious and cleaned every day. With regards to the food, again we don't think it was 4*- it was very 'samey' each day. Luckily we arent fussy eaters so it was fine for us, we literally ate everything that was there, but there was limited options for people that only like normal food (1 type of pizza, 1 type of chip product) the paella was amazing though, and so were the fish dishes! Puddings were incredible also. There are 2 other restaurants on site- oriental and Italian. They are only open certain nights though so you must check when you arrive what nights you want to go, as when we went to go to the oriental, it was fully booked which is a shame as that's our favourite cuisine. The Italian was lovely. The pool bar had a good variety of alcoholic drinks and the hot drinks machine was a god send when it was a bit chilly round the pool first thing in the morning. The entertainment staff were really lovely, they work incredibly hard and do activities for all ages- we loved bingo round the pool! All in all a lovely hotel, however comparing to previous 4* hotels we've been to, this hasnt been on par however we would deffo come back again!! Thank you for having us :)
