We stayed in La Puerta El Paraiso 5 nights from the 16th June until the 21st. The welcome was warm even a bit confusing because the owner/ manager said she did not know somebody is coming today and so it seemed we got our room upgraded to a hill top room with a scenic view, and it also turned out... We went to La Puerta Al Paraizo last May 29, 2016. In a nutshell, you pay for the tranquility and solitude the place offers. And for a burnt out individual from the metropolis, those are rarities I'm willing to spend for. Location: the isolation of the resort is an advantage. It really transports you to a place vastly detached and... More

We have chose this place to celebrate our 8th anniversary and the place didn't fail us. Upon arrival we have stayed at the restaurant since its too early and the occupants on the room we reserved haven't checked out yet. On other times, i might get annoyed by it, but the calming and relaxing environment helps us to appreciate the... More

We had a long and dusty ride to the hotel. With a booking for 30 people coming in at dinner time, you would have expected that at least they would be thrilled to have you as guests. No cheerful welcome, no staff to help you with your luggages. The staff who showed us to our room didn't even bother to... More

We didn't actually stay here but found it by accident on a fun, slightly shambolic motorbike ride around the island. My gf spotted it when we were getting peckish so we stopped for lunch, and I'm really glad we did! Food is good, staff are lovely, mangoes are fresh. The view is incredible and the rooms looked decent enough (we... More

We (a couple from Stockholm, Sweden) stayed 4 nights at La Puerta in February. This is a fantastic place on a big estate, with two beaches and several cottages. We had one of the hilltop cottages, with sea view and a nice sunset. The room was fine - despite the ants (mostly on the floor). They have a restaurant where... More

Door to paradise, true! The place is really picturesque. A hidden gem. Thumbs up: Food - for 1k-1500 good for 8, not bad. Not crowded beach line - very nice sunset! I would choose the sunset here over Boracay. Spacious Cr with hot and cold. Friendly staff esp. Tita Nining. Thumbs down: Dirty pool, if it's low tide you have... More

When we went there, we were 13 people. We rented a boat from Iloilo to the resort itself, it took us 2 hrs by boat. I did not know that it could be reached by land too, but someone told me in large group going there by boat is better. The resort is nestled in grove of a bigger island... More

The resort is farther than the ones in Guisi and Alubijod. You can ride a rented trike or multicab to the resort for less hassle (ith assistance from Jordan Port tourism office). The long bumpy ride to the resort was greatly rewarded with your own private paradise. Unlike the popular resorts that share the same beach (hence tend to get... More
