We went to La Puerta Al Paraiso to experience white sand without going to thru countless guests of boracay... since I have 4 children and cannot contain them in one place... This is an ideal spot for me to enjoy seeing them in one without panicking search of the crowd. From Ortiz wharf in Iloilo center, it is a 15-minute... More

There is so much to tell about how excellent this place was. So far, the best private resort I had been to. We stayed last May 2016. The staff is very much accommodating and sensitive about my much-needed rest and privacy. When the things we need cannot be found in their bar, they go an extra mile to the market... More

From iloilo ortiz wharf... that will be 15 mins boat ride and one hour by van or trike. The road is not yet cemented so get ready for a little bumpy ride. The place is really nice. The view and the beach is good. The food is also good on a reasonable price. Be ready to be away from civilization... More

We stayed in La Puerta El Paraiso 5 nights from the 16th June until the 21st. The welcome was warm even a bit confusing because the owner/ manager said she did not know somebody is coming today and so it seemed we got our room upgraded to a hill top room with a scenic view, and it also turned out... We went to La Puerta Al Paraizo last May 29, 2016. In a nutshell, you pay for the tranquility and solitude the place offers. And for a burnt out individual from the metropolis, those are rarities I'm willing to spend for. Location: the isolation of the resort is an advantage. It really transports you to a place vastly detached and... More

We have chose this place to celebrate our 8th anniversary and the place didn't fail us. Upon arrival we have stayed at the restaurant since its too early and the occupants on the room we reserved haven't checked out yet. On other times, i might get annoyed by it, but the calming and relaxing environment helps us to appreciate the... More

We had a long and dusty ride to the hotel. With a booking for 30 people coming in at dinner time, you would have expected that at least they would be thrilled to have you as guests. No cheerful welcome, no staff to help you with your luggages. The staff who showed us to our room didn't even bother to... More

We didn't actually stay here but found it by accident on a fun, slightly shambolic motorbike ride around the island. My gf spotted it when we were getting peckish so we stopped for lunch, and I'm really glad we did! Food is good, staff are lovely, mangoes are fresh. The view is incredible and the rooms looked decent enough (we... More

We (a couple from Stockholm, Sweden) stayed 4 nights at La Puerta in February. This is a fantastic place on a big estate, with two beaches and several cottages. We had one of the hilltop cottages, with sea view and a nice sunset. The room was fine - despite the ants (mostly on the floor). They have a restaurant where... More
