We stayed here for 3 nights in March as part of an extended trip in SA. We have stayed in the Drakensberg previously, but not at this hotel. Wow!! This will not be our last visit to Champagne Castle. We stayed in a deluxe mountain view room and it is worth the extra money. The

Thank you for taking the time to post your review, Kate I am almost certain you are the first person to describe their stay with us as a land locked cruise. As Captain of the ship, I am glad we were able to do our part in ensuring you had a fabulous stay at Champagne Castle Hotel. I have passed your feedback on to the Chef. He did walk away with a rather large smile :-) The Sphinx is a lovely walk. Not too easy, and not too difficult, with Crystal Falls on the way for a water re-fill when needed. Thank you for staying with us, and we look forward to welcoming you back on your next visit to this part of the Drakensberg.

We stopped at the hotel for lunch at their bar. The food was amazing and the service was very good. It is a beautiful hotel with amazing views of the Drakensberg. Definitely a future option for our family holiday.

Thank you for taking the time to post your review, catharinesim We're so glad you enjoyed your lunch stop with us, and we're really happy you've added Champagne Castle Hotel as a future option for your family holiday. We are fortunate to have the incredible views we do, tucked up so close to the mountains. Walking out onto the mountain, from the hotel property, is simply spectacular. The further you walk the more beautiful it becomes. We look forward to welcoming you on your next visit to this part of the Drakensberg

Spacious rooms, super views, nice grounds. We were with our grand children and really missed a kiddies pool. The existing pool is large, vert deep and rather cold Out suggestion is that you ditch or move the chess set and install a very shallow heated pool for kids

We stayed in cottage no. 5 - very well finished and excellent facilities and equipment (except no really sharp carving knife!! ). Cleaned every day by very polite staff. Lovely views and thoroughly enjoyed our stay - excellent value for money!!

No. You may be able to get an included buffet breakfast and dinner and leave out lunch, but they do not do a la carte meals. Self catering is fine, but sometimes the hotel restaurant is not available to self catering, particularly weekends and prime periods. Suggest you contact the hotel direct.

Hi, Guest. What would you like to know about this accommodation?
Hi Traveldeon We certainly are not satisfied with the smoke that has recently been experienced in the lounge. We are working to fix it urgently. Thank you for taking the time to ask this.

Do you have interleading rooms?
There is one block (a new one) that has inter-leading rooms. It's the 300's block if you ask while you're doing your reservation. My favourite rooms in the hotel

If you are this gormless you are probably better staying at home. Have a look at some weather forecasts and google maps online.
