We actually stayed in 2016 but forgot to do the review - many apologies. We had a marvellous time - the location, the staff and the breakfasts were fabulous. Such a shame that the hotel was so quiet as a consequence of the regugee crisis which was not a problem at all. The walking was fabulous and we will return one day when we are up to tackling all those hills! My husband needs a hip replacement first! We apologise for not writing our review at the time and hope all going well for you all at the Daphne. Highly recommended hotel!

Review collected in partnership with this hotel
+1
If you want to have a peaceful, silent and cosy holiday this place would be perfect place for you. Hotel makes you feel like in 90's but in a cute way. Wifi works really nice, breakfast was nice, wiev is amazing. Staff is really friendly and helpful. But you need a car to reach places because we didn't see any public transportation. If it's even exists obviously not working well. We had best hotel radio ever. Musics were wisely chosen. Because of it I didn't use my headphones, music was nice all the time. Only bad thing about hotel, it's on the hill, hard to climb up and the parking lot is too small for the amount of rooms.

In 2017 is not acceptable not to have a tv in a room and also not working ac . Also it is very disappointing to offer to your guests a pool and not to have an elevator for 2 floor building of your hotel .In a hotel with more than 20 rooms it is not acceptable to offer only 4-7 parking spots .Also i didn't like that the hotel is not friendly for disable people and it is friendly for pets . For sure is one of the hotels that is not advertisement of the island of Samos an Greece.

Response from Stamatis I, Ιδιοκτήτης at Daphne Hotel

Dear Guest In the year 2017 a Holiday Hotel built in the magnificant Nightingale valley with lush forest growth and spectacular sea views a television set in the room is a minus not a plus. The hotel has modular central air co and you probably didnt use the unit in your room correctly. The hotel is built on a slope as is shown in all our photos and may be hard for people with walking difficulties but not impossible as you presented it. And finally we are a pet friendly hotel who provide cleanliness and service for our guests as well as their four legged friends.

My second stay, and not the last. The location is fantastic . As soon you turn of from the main road, you only hear cikades(?),and you just feel your mind relaxing. Up the rather steep smaller road to the hotel( is has to be steep to get that view), and then a very warm and efficient welcome by the female daily leader. The rooms are as described in other reviews, and he's the refrigiator is a little to to old side and do not refrigiate that much, but it's very nice rooms - and then one of the best things , the balconys with that view!!and where you can sit in the shadow most of the days if you wanted that, and enjoy...Enjoy life, views, sounds everything. The staff are all kind and smiling, and forthcoming. The breakfast is nice, new baked different cakes every day, different fruits, scrambled egg, yoghurt ect, and then the mentioned baguette. You eat with the same magnificent view too. There is a small bar, from where you can order snack meals and drinks of course, and you are allowed to take it with to your room. The location of the hotels makes it perfect for walking/hiking to the nearby mountain villages ( Manolates is nice, but not so many actually lives there any more, and a lot of tourist / ect, but beautifull, Vourliotes still more authentic , but that's a matter of taste) The routes are clearly marked, and easy to find. And the vue and landscape is magnificent......And you walks in pine Forrest, between olives trees, and with fig trees everywhere , with her this time of year boost with wonderfull fruits.. You can take the bus to the beaches between here and kokkari,or take the bus to the 2. biggest town Karlovassi, with nice shops and restaurants. But beware, NO busses on Samos on Sundays, and only a few on Saturdays ,and the last busses of the day is often so full, that if you don't get on at the start, you sometimes a left standing at th road side.. All together you can easily stay both short and long time at this wonderful place... I
