It's more an (American style) motel than a hotel. Reception and restaurant are in a separate building and rooms are in an apartment block. It's a bit tired and dated, but the rooms are very clean. The bed was a bit hard and lumpy. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Location is right next to the motorway. Restaurant is not always staffed, but there's a McDonald's next door. Room is very hot and has no air conditioning. Window can be opened, but you risk getting gnats in. Breakfast is sufficient and fresh.

The best thing about this place is the location, very easy access, and has the benifit of a good selection of local shops within easy walking distance although you wouldn't know it so ask for directions. Staff are friendly and helpful.
Best to get a room facing away from motorway due to noise if windows are open.
The place is a bit tired but overall clean and what you would expect in this price range.
We did not eat here so cant comment on food.

Room not very clean; lights didn't all work; very small! The first thing I saw when I entered the room was a cookie-wrapping on the floor! Had this room been cleaned at all?!? Dirty stains on ceiling and walls. Remote controll of t.v. was sticky. There could 've been more coffee- and teabags available (there was only one of each per person), and may be real cups instead of plastic ones in the room (for the coffee/tea)? What I really hated though was the dirty shower-curtain (is very hard to keep clean) instead of a glass wall. Furthermore there was mould on the walls of the shower.
Breakfast was good; staff was very friendly!

I was been there for a party. It was just a shame that someone sounded the alarm. Breakfast was good, because there was a large assortment and wonderfully fresh. When I have a party again, then I want to go back to this hotel.

We booked in here because the motel was located only a very short walk to the Evenementenhal where we were attending an event.
I would say that the photos on the website do not reflect the current state of the rooms and outside of the place and would call this a motel rather than hotel as the accommodation is located away from the main entrance.
Rooms have own entrance and have a good lock on them - good job too because you can hear all the traffic noise and feel the cold chill wind through the gaps!
The rooms are small but do have tea/coffee making facilities that are replenished daily. Using disposable cups.
The room had 4 electric socket outlets...2 very high up on the ceiling with one being used - not sure what for - you would have to be 7 foot tall to be able to plug anything into it and 2 under the desk, one for the TV and one for your use.
Beds were pretty comfortable however the plastic protector base sheet scrunched up while sleeping making it very uncomfortable!. No extra blankets for cold nights (and my first night was cold) and only one extra pillow....Campanile you need to replace the pillows because they are old, lumpy and awful!
The room has a large window looking out over the main crossroad and people walk past your window and can look in (there is a net curtain but not good enough) so keep your curtains closed. The window is single glazed so you can hear the noise of the traffic - take your ear plugs!
McDonalds next to it if you want a quick snack.
Petrol station 10 mins walk with some snacks and a few bits if you forget your toothpaste - but the motel reception does have some of this too and snacks.
The bathroom - The sink was cracked and needs replacing.
Shower over bath - the shower was lovely and strong so a plus :)
The fan did not turn off and continued to run throughout the night even though I asked reception to get it looked at - they couldn't move me as the hotel was booked up! I felt like ripping it off the wall...thank goodness for ear plugs.
The room was clean.
If you need a iron and board you can borrow this from reception.
I will say that all the staff were incredibly friendly and a credit to the hotel and the breakfast and dinner good. I would not stay here again as I had such bad nights sleep, even with ear plugs in but the cleanliness and locality were good.
Honeslty, I wish we had stayed at another hotel and paid for transport to the venue.

The price paid really does reflect the hotel, budget price, you get what you pay for.

The bed was clean and comfortable and the shower was great - very powerful. Good to have a kettle and coffee in the room too.
The rooms definitely need a refurb as they were well worn and tired.
The outside corridor and stairs were quite dirty and not very pleasant.

The most important piece of information I would have liked to have known before booking was that the building was a motel. It was not connected to the reception area and was accessible to anyone. As a female traveller on her own. I did not feel safe and secure. There were quite a few people hanging around in the car park ( I think they were visiting McDonalds) but they could see who was entering the rooms and there was no security doors stopping anyone getting to the bedroom doors.

On a positive note - the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Would I return - if travelling alone definitely No.

Dear guest, thank you for your feedback and we are pleased to hear you enjoyed the hygiene of the bed, the shower and the friendliness of our staff. We discussed your impression with the responsible staff for the stairs and corridors to ensure they are completely checked and done every day. We know you arrived at the wrong hotel and discided to stay with us, thank you for your choise for us, on our website you can see what kind of hotel you book. Soory to hear hear you did not feel safe. I can assure you there is no reason for that; all doors have a safety lock on the inside, we have the complete builing and area covered with camerasurveillance and at night we have a securitycompany and police that patrol on a very regular base. It is true that we have guests who stay for a longer time in our hotel, sometimes go to the McDonalds and then, especcially with the extreme high temperatures during your stay, wonder around on the parkingarea of our hotel to get some fresh air and eat their meal. I hope I have been able to ensure you, that we never had/have safety issues at our hotel. Thank you and best regards, Bart

We spent our first night in the Netherlands at this hotel. The rooms were clean and equipped with everything we needed. The staff were friendly and helpful. We were very tired so the climb up to the top floor with our bags was a bit of a problem. We had a good nights sleep on comfortable beds (the pillows were very soft and worn though). It is a bit far to walk to the old town but an affordable stay.

I was in the area for work and it seemed the most suitable location to stay. The staff were friendly. The room was basic and dated but reasonably clean.
I wouldn't recommend it as a holiday get away location but it was what I needed for one night.
Not that easy to get to without a car.

Dear Sarah, thank you for your nice comments on our staff. It is indeed best, if you have no car, to use either a taxi from the station (only 5 min. costs appr. €7) or use public transport (busstop only 150 meters from our hotel). Kind Regards, Bart Baanders
