I have visited the Inn on a number of occasions for meals and drinks and every time has been a great experience. The staff are all very friendly! The quality of the food is amazing, very much a gourmet dining experience. There is a great selection of ales. I will definitely be returning in the future.

Stayed there for 2 nights between xmas and NY. Loved the location, food, quirky rooms even although they they had very squeeky floor boards. Staff were so friendly. Def will be back when stopping over in the Lake District.

Left my last review over 3-months ago! Still here during the week on business after almost 6-months! What a fantastic place to stay. Great value. Reading some of the negative reviews it's difficult to understand the comments. All the staff are truly excellent and go out of their way to help wherever possible. The Chefs, Craig, Lee and Wellington are...

Visited the Bridge a few times during my trip and would thoroughly recommend. The food was the best pub food I've ever had and at a very reasonable price. All the staff were excellent, particularly the manager Jonathan who was very chatty. Will definitely visit again.

Stayed here recently with a friend after climbing Scafell Pike. A great spot to stay as it's only 10 drive from Wasdale head. Friendly staff and a good atmosphere in the bar to relax in after a day out on the fells. Good beers and wine. Food was really good - both dinner and breakfast. The room was spot on...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The award-winning Bridge Inn, once a modest mail coach’s halt, is now a fine, well-situated, comfortable country inn offering hospitality to all travelers and visitors being close to Wastwater (Britain’s favourite view) and Scafell. Well behaved dogs are also welcome. The Western Lakes and Fells are spectacular and here in this quiet valley there is still the peace and tranquility that should be Lakeland. There are still more sheep than people!!! Excellent "REAL" food, "REAL" Ales, Log Fires and a "reet good welcome." Standards of accommodation today's travelers expect.
