Set away from busy roads and thoroughfare, these quiet rustic thai style bungalows provide a place to chill, relax and enjoy the magic of Koh Yao Noi. We would describe it like glamping: camping with stable shelter, comfortable, clean beds, toilet, shower, fridge etc. Woken by the birds in the morning and full tide beach views then falling asleep listen to frogs, geckos and night animals. This is not the place for you if you don't like the 'outdoor' experience. The staff are amazing. They are trustworthy, helpful and speak many different languages. I love the way they will answer any question and try their hardest to accommodate any needs. The food is delicious especially the pad thai! Of course! It is in close proximity to a small minimart and other cafes, food stalls and massage places. The island tour was stunning. We visited a couple of amazing islands and caves. Although our boat sriver didn't speak much English he had a wicked sense of humor and very lovely energy. Our children were delighted to use free bicycles and kayaks. Be warned at different times of the year there are jellyfish but nonfatal stings. Overall our experience at Lom Lae has been wonderful.

Ideal setting right on the beach. Only 4 bungalows so the place is real quiet and peaceful. Reception, restaurant and staff in general are based up the road, which adds up the peaceful feeling. You are provided with a phone with a thai sim to call for room service. Staff is very kind and helpful and did everything they could to help us feel comfortable - providing a crib, mosquito net and a high chair for our son. The bungalow is very basic but clean and in good shape. Lom lae is perfect for you, if you like peace and quiet. For us, with a small child, is was just too rough. The missing aircon (only fans in the room) was too though for our little son and since you can only go swimming when there's a high tide (it is like this in koh yao noi in general) we really missed a pool to cool down in. Also the sudden, hour long missing of running water and the dominant sound of rats outside during the night made us move to another place after just one night, eventhough we had booked a whole week. It was just too basic and rough for our family. Staff was really cool and understanding about this and even gave us a part refund eventhough we had prepaid for the whole week. Choose lom lae if you like basic, camping-style, solitude and peace and quiet. If you are travelling with small children, go some where else.

We went there with the family. It is a small hotel with only a couple of bungalows on the beach. The owners and staff were very nice and welcomed us very well. They also have a restaurant and propose delivery straight to your bungalow which is super convenient. One other thing to note is that they offer either 2 bikes or one scooter per room. This is very convenient as the bungalows are far from the road. We definitely recommend the place to anyone willing to escape from the city and looking for some peaceful rest.

Great location, fantastic food, and super friendly & helpful staff. Kayaks and a moped (or normal bikes) are included with the hut. Huts are directly on the beach and the restaurant/reception is just up the road which is perfect. It is also the best place to eat on the island, they make lots of things themselves fresh everyday! We can highly recommend a stay here and hope to go back ourselves asap.

We so enjoyed the warmth and the attentive help we received as clients at the restaurant of Ya and Dogma. The food was also superlative with the largest fruit salad I have had to date in Thailand and a wide variety of Thai and European foods. We really enjoyed the fruit shakes as well. I am an aficionado of fresh, well prepared food.

I fell in love with Lom Lae about one year ago based on its website. We managed to get there in January, 2018. We are a family of 4, with 2 daughters, aged 9 and 16. Communicating with the resort via email was very easygoing, they answered all my questions in advance. We were in the family bungalow with 2 separate rooms, called Lelawadee. Dagmar welcomed us and gave all the necessary information and stuff like hairdrier, mobile phone (to order food), torches. She was extremely helpful, the excursions she organized were perfect, leading to places, remote beaches where there was noone else. We really enjoyed the possibility to have the breakfast and dinner by the bungalow. The tropical garden is really peaceful. As someone mentioned earlier during low tide it is not really possible to go into the water because of the rocky/muddy waterline. But during high tide it is good fun. We could use the kayaks to visit the nearby island, and the motorbike to go buy icecream, beer or anything from the store/market.

When we first arrived we could not believe how beautiful our bungalow (especially the view, as it was located directly at the beach)was. Dagmar welcomed us very friendly and gave us a tour around the facilities. The bungalows are cosy and well furnished, if you don't mind hearing the wildlife at night and a few ants in the bathroom it is perfect. The complementary breakfast was delicious and could be ordered directly to the bungalow. We loved every second of our stay here and would gladly come back. Moreover, a motor bike as well as a kayak can be used for free. Furthermore, boat trips and massages can be booked directly at the hotel.

We had a perfect 4-day-stay at this quiet little place right at the beach, which is very remote and offers fantastic views onto the landscapes of the marine national park (perfect sunrise views included). Dagmar took very good care of us (inlcuding breakfast service to our bungalow, taxi arrangements, speed boat information etc.). It is a bit off the main road (700m), which makes it a bit remote but with the bikes/motorbike it offers it is a super quick ride to the road by which you have to cover just a short distance to explore all villages and beaches along the east coast of Ko Ya Noi. (The island itself is a great place to escape the crowds you can get at Puhket or Ko Phi Phi...loved it!)

We loved staying at Lom’Lae. Our room, Jambee was right on the beach - a rustic and cosy bungalow with just the right amount of luxury and beautiful sunrise over private beach. Everything from coconut shower gel in the bathroom to beach lounge chairs, motor bike and a phone is provided to make your stay super relaxing and easy. The restaurant offers great food that can be delivered to your bungalow. The staff are incredibly helpful and kind. I hope it’s not too long before we can visit Koh Yao Noi and stay at Lom’Lae again 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
