Nestled in the idyllic and isolated northern tip of Koh Yao Noi in Phang Nga Bay, it is surrounded by towering limestone cliffs, a vibrant tropical rainforest, and a 250-meter stretch of private beach, creating a secluded romantic paradise. Located roughly an hour’s boat ride east of Phuket and just 30 minutes from Krabi, the resort follows a shabby-chic concept, featuring white-washed woods and turquoise-accented linens throughout. Back to Nature in Total Comfort. The resort offers a range of water-based activities including snorkeling, scuba diving trips, kayaks for exploring the near-by hongs (lagoons) & beaches. A wide range of land-based activities also provides our guests with options from light recreation to high adventure. Thai cooking classes, Traditional Batik painting, beach volleyball, badminton & table tennis cater to those not quite willing to leave the comfort of the resort grounds.

Paradise Kohyao is hailed as a tranquil haven by guests who relish its secluded beaches and private pools. The hotel's remote location is perfect for those in search of a serene getaway. While the spacious rooms with plunge pools and terraces are a hit, some visitors mention noise and service issues. The property's cleanliness and attentive staff receive high marks, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere that blends rustic charm with stylish amenities. Opinions on value are split, with the mandatory service charges being a point of contention for some.

We recently stayed here for a short break as part of touring holiday and what a place it was. Firstly I would like to debunk a few reviews critisizing the place. Firstly food and drink is not priced 5 times higher than on the mainland. It is slightly more expensive, mainly due to the fact it is an island and fairly remote so transportation costs come into play. Food was good and varied and certainly not all fried. A great choice, from local dishes to pizza/pasta all served fresh, not mass cooked and kept warm. This is one of the reasons there are complaints about long waits for food. Sit back and wait a few extra minutes with a beer and admire the superb views from the beach restaurants. Staff do not answer to a 'big boss' as suggested. Sure there is a manager as you would expect, but not all decisions go through him. Some reviewers seem to have spent their time here looking for faults rather than enjoying the place. Oh yes it is quiet and remote, exactly as stated in the brochures so don't complain about it. Now iv'e got that off my chest let's get to the good stuff. Getting here is a speedy boat ride with full safety equipment provided. Check in is fast and efficient. We had a sea view room with plunge pool, a bit of a climb up about 30 steps. Not really suitable for the less mobile but there are lovely beach rooms if mobility is an issue. Our room was spotless and in a beach villa style, a huge double bed in the bedroom with patio doors to watch the sunrise in the morning. Large decked outside area with plunge pool and infinity view over the sea. There is a mini bar and wine fridge in the room which we thought was expensive even allowing for the supply issues. If you like a drink and nibbles in the room the hotel will provide transport into the local village. This will be in a rugged 4x4 as the road is little more than a dirt road and very rough. I would not even consider a scooter, far too dangerous due to the condition of the road. In the village you will find some decent shopping and a 7-11 supermarket and several other large shops. Buy your booze and nibble supplies here, cheaper than the hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful and service was generally good. I will be honest and say that if you are a 5 star Hilton person then this is possibly not for you. If you want peace and quiet and a relaxing break then this place is perfect. We absolutely loved it here and hope to return one day.

This highly rated resort is nicely integrated into the beach/jungle setting. The decor is more beach hut than boutique and this makes for a relaxing atmosphere. Friendly and helpful staff (95% are local to the island). The pool is one of the longest we have seen on our travels for a hotel, about 40m long (but only 10-15 wide). The beach front is all sand and palm trees although loungers can be scarce when the hotel is full. The beach is fine at high tide but is not swimable at low tide.

The restaurant serves some western food but the emphasis is on Thai food which was nicely cooked and presented. Yes, prices were a little inflated due to location but was certainly no worse than we found in other high standard hotels on the mainland. Breakfast (included) was a major event and well stocked to suit all tastes. Look out for the 4 (yes, 4!) happy hours that the two beach bars put on each day.

The local wild life is always making itself known, especially the Hornbills. A group of 4-5 of them regularly settled on palm tress outside our room, very photogenic! You can also go on a jungle trek with a guide from the hotel which gives you the chance to see even more wild life such as monkeys if you are lucky (and quiet).

Being isolated at the top end of the island, boat trips to various locations are available and well worth the effort. The trip out to various islands was especially enjoyable.

Stayed here for a few days after touring round Thailand. Chose this place as I wanted a quiet remote location away from the crowds and that's what we got. A 45min speed boat ride to get to the hotel. The lay-out of the resort is such that you don't bump into too many people . Our room was up a hillside but a golf buggy was available for all travel to the restaurant , beach or bar as and when requested. The room was spotless and spacious with' out door shower' large decking area and jacuzzi. The view was superb - over the tops of the other villas straight to the beach and sea. The sunrise from the bed was spectacular! The restaurant offers a buffet as well as a la carte. We did not eat from the buffet, What we ordered was always freshly cooked and great tasting. The staff were very good. I believe they mostly come from the villages on the island and may have to, on occassion, ask a colleague to help with language, etc. We all have to learn!! A trip to the local village is well worth it, taking you on some precarious roads through some lovely jungle and rubber plantations. This hotel was exactly what I was looking for, like I said 'Truly Paradise'

If you're visiting the southern west cost of Thailand and want a calming change of scenery from the tourist hustle and bustle on the main land, Koh Yao Noi Paradise resort is a must!

Paradise Resort & Spa is absolutely beautiful and would suit all travelling parties (if you don't mind a bumpy ride to get there! ). The views from our 'Superior Studio' were delightful to wake up to, with a short stroll to all amenities the the resort has to offer and of course the beach. The studio itself was spacious and felt more like an apartment than a room and was well designed with luxury touches. The soft cotton 'Paradise' robes felt wonderful whilst listening to the resident birds and sitting on the swinging balcony bench. One feature of the studio we loved was the balcony which doubled as an outdoor shower.

The eco forward resort could be seen as a wellness retreat as well a beach bum haven. Morning yoga, cookery classes and the tranquil spa are all available at affordable prices. We booked our stay through 'Booking.com' meaning each guest received a complimentary yoga class and 30 minute massage to use throughout our stay.

Great room, facilities and vibes. We would go back in a heartbeat.

We went there this week and everything was beyond our expectations. The service , the staff , the room and especially the location ; you feel like you're on a private island with the best beach of the island.
The transfer arranged by the hotel was really smooth and they even arranged an earlier boat for us to come back as our flight was a bit earlier than the other. All security measure due to the covid 19 situation were taken ( mask on the boat , hand sanitizer frequently proposed ,..)
We did some activities with the hotel as well and it was good ( koh Pak and top 5 )
The food at the restaurant is a bit expensive but the resort is remote and you're on an island so it's expected. The portion were quite big and the taste satisfying.
The room was really nice , we were lucky to have one with an amazing view (354) they don't all have a great view but have a good standard, we loved the tasteful decoration and the open bathroom with a view.
We had a 1 year old ( Alex) with us and the staff was always very helpful at the restaurant and also during the activities.
Thanks everyone for the great family holidays we had and we will definitely come back

The hotel is nice, but the food is not great (lots of fried food and many of the dishes are mostly just a variant of each other).
Also, the day trips are exorbitantly priced as are all transfers. Be prepared to be a little exploited there.
If you want to lounge out by the beach, it is gorgeous, but getting a sun lounger is a little tough, which is annoying.
Finally, we had a problem with our room. Really poor sound isolation. We contacted the hotel 3 times about this and they failed to do anything about it, didn't offer us another room, never answered our email complaining and refused compensation via our travel agent. This after we paid a super high daily rate.
Aspects of our stay were really nice, but I wouldn't recommend the place after this.

We stayed in a 2 bedroom villa with our 4 children ages 2-9 and had an amazing time. Koh Yao is a welcome escape from the other over touristy parts of Phuket. It has retained its laid back Island vibe and we Paradise is like a welcome retreat from the chaos. Check in was relaxed and we were made to feel at home straight away. The villas were absolutely stunning with a huge pool which our kids loved. The resort itself is right on a white sand beach and the views over the surrounding islands are idyllic. We ordered food and drinks to our room frequently which was a bit slow but everything was prepared fresh so this is understandable. We had a great time and wouldn't hesitate to return.

We chose this for a 5 night stay as part of a two week honeymoon and were delighted with it!

We arrived by private boat provided by the hotel, along with a number of other people arriving at the same time. If I were to be overly picky the arrival was not that personal but that was probably because we arrived on a Saturday and there were a number of people arriving at the same time. We had originally wanted to stay at the Treehouse but this was out of our budget, when you arrive you do go past all of those apartments and I did feel a little sad at that point. This feeling completely went when we were taken to our room (282) as far as I am concerned it was the best room there!! We were the farthest/highest room to the left when you look at the picture from the sea, it felt completely private and secluded, I actually cried when i went in as it was so idyllic. We have stayed in some beautiful places but none with such a view from our room. We actually set our alarm to wake for sunrise to experience the beauty of it all. We could open our sliding doors and view this from our bed it was beautiful!!

I would agree that the resort is more beach than boutique but this is part of its charm, it also has kids so if you are not into those it may not be the place for you!! I would add that they were very unobtrusive.

Unlike some reviews I would completely disagree that the breakfast was bad ....it was amazing, loads of choice and fruits & vegetables. Serving staff were amazing and always smiling. They laid on different evenings to add variety and we felt the food was lovely. I would agree that it was a little more expensive than the mainland but this is to be expected and by UK standards was still good value.

We had an amazing trip organized by the hotel which involved kayaking and going into some amazing caves, the guide was amazing and it was worth every penny.

I would recommend this hotel for a lovely part of a holiday in Thailand.

It is very isolated place and, unless you wish to pay 5 times as in mainland for food, drink, massasje, excursions and transfer, you can easily feel trapped here by unfriendly management. It seems that everything is governed by “the boss” that have strict rules and stuff is often unsure to give you an answer before they have talked to him. There are no other restaurants nearby, so you have to order meals in the resort. All prices are excluded local taxes, that are 17%. A red curry with seafood, as an example, costs 400 THB (included taxes) - and that’s one of the cheapest main dishes. Be aware that if you are arriving by boat from Phuket at Tha Bang Rong, then this resort is on a completely other side of an island and transfer by local taxi from harbor will cost you 800 THB. Breakfast is so-so: nothing special. In sum, not worth coming back- there are so much more in Thailand in this price range. Even on the same island or, try Ko Mook or Ko Ngai in Trang province!

This place is where you go to relax and recharge it truly is paradise. We loved our stay here and the nature around you as you wander from your absolutely gorgeous room is stunning everywhere you look is beautiful. I’d say myself but definitely my husband never really relax that much but here we did. The restaurant food is really good and breakfast is fabulous and happy hour cocktails are a must to watch the sunset and the guys behind the bar are great in fact all the staff here are fantastic, special mention to Oz who was super attentive and good fun to chat to. Every night your bed was turned down while you were out mosquitoe nets dropped down and citronella oil burner lit in your room a lovely touch we much appreciated.
