This was first hotel of a three week trip and the place for which I had lowest expectations. I was very impressed with stay . The rooms were clean and well appointed with usual accessories . Not the best views perhaps , but the rest of the resort ambiance e and views made up for that . The staff were very friendly . Particularly Gwen , Antoine and the domestic staff. There was a lot on trust - I was surprised that my card details were not required for settling ancillaries at end . I got a free trip on Kudu Wanderer because I was staying a week which was welcome bonus and really enjoyable. There was no hard sell re trips and simply honest advice which I appreciated . I had perhaps the best massage ever, more expensive than local prices but not extortionate and price to be expected. The food was good also . Cafe Kantary lovely . General staff issues with poor English . I had some difficulty getting table for dinner . Also an issue with tour because of timing of Ramadan on the mainly Muslim island . Antoine was very good though and resolved and it is clear he is an excellent manager. Gym was small but adequate . Pool area good and although busy I always managed to get a sun bed . I did think though that the allocation of pools with view and jacuzzi area to children could maybe be reconsidered as the adult pool seemed more suited to children .All in all this pushed above its weight and compared favourably to Six Senses and other hotels later in stay. Would consider returning .

it just wasn't worth it. It was a huge hassle to get to the resort. The ambience and the surroundings were just isn't it.I wouldn't call it a resort since the rooms were just stacked on each other and looked like a ibis hotel. The service was not so good since we order a ham burger and a pizza and she only came back with the pizza and we waited for the hamburger and it never came.

This is my first time staying at Cape Kudu My total staying experience was not good as expected Since the room reservation process, I was not informed how to travel to the hotel from Phuket mainland. It was a surprise for me that there were so many expenses you must pay before entering the hotel. Once you drop off the luggage at Hotel's office on Phuket mainland. You must pay to enter the area (which is only 30-40 meters from the entrace) then pay for parking at the local's people house since the public parking area is not safe from the monkey (The staff said). Nevertheless, you must pay for the speedboat, car to the hotel (Roundtrip). This extra charge occurs but surprisingly no one informs us during making the reservation. They only say that it was not mentioned in the confirmation letter. so, it means not included. You are so much different from other 5 star resorts on the island. I am happy to pay if I know since the beginning. I believe I have asked before I made the payment about NET price I must pay to confirm. Let's imagine if I go there as a group of 10 people, how much is a surprise expense occur? Also you know most of the guests must travel to the hotel by speedboat and enter to the same pier. After buying the ticket and parking the car, we waited to enter the speedboat. There is no proper waiting area at the pier. It was busy, hot and messy when I was there. It was crowded on the speedboat. No life jacket available at everyone's seat. I know it's not operated by the hotel but this is the main transportation to go to your hotel. I would suggest you consider security more than this! if you CARE enough. Upon arrival, the ladies staff welcome you to check in but seriously I never feel welcome from them at all. We went to Cafe Kantary after checking in and as the same I never see the staff smile & never feel welcome. I been there 2 times durind 1 night stay.... We walked back to the room and at that time, it was windy and going to rain. I took a walkway from Kantary to The Hornbill restaurant. Suddenly, the big umbrella flew from the other side, hit 2 guests and they fell down to the side and were unable to stand by herself. Surprisingly, no staff helped them out of the area. They helped each other to get off from the area. I believe this is not the 1st time it has been raining and windy on the island but the staff made me feel that way. The public facilities like sunbed, beach umbrellas look tired. The wooden floor at the swimming pool is also the same. In my villa, the water leaking from the roof, water in the bathtub won't drain and the floor tile in the swimming pool broke from the wall. I had dinner at Hornbill restaurant and I informed the staff that my table was shaking and it was annoying while having dinner. Again, no one adjust the table for me. I have been waiting for 5 mins and I have to follow up again. The restaurant was not busy at that time. The lady staff came to adjust the table and she had a moody feeling on her face that we called. Breakfast at the restaurant was not impressive, this is the first 5 star hotel that even just made fried eggs sunny side up. They can't make it in a good condition. On the way back to the pier back to Phuket, it was very crowded with local people wanting to go back to Phuket's mainland. The boat driver picks up over limit passengers. Some of them were standing behind and there was no life jacket enough for everyone on the boat. I really felt unsafe and unsecure to travel with this. I was tired during the trip and it was the most troubled hotel that I have ever been to. Hope you will improve what I suggested.

I have become pretty lazy these days when it comes to writing or reading reviews about an Hotel. Some of these reviews… oh man! But then I understand that a good review is the bread and butter for a hotel business and since I happen to find myself in a really great place I will definitely want to write about it. Cape Kudu on Koh Yao Noi is a gem, not a large resort, but a Hotel that is well laid out with all the amenities one could wish for and then some… The large Lobby is really welcoming, the pool area is nice, the Restaurant well designed. Somebody really knew how to build this place. The rooms are spacious and the bathroom is luxurious. But it’s the little details that I appreciate a lot. There are no plastic bottles, not in the bathroom where soap and shampoo are in dispensers, not on the breakfast buffet. The complimentary water comes in glass bottles. I truly believe that eco friendliness is part of their DNA. Nice. * The staff, the most important part of such a place, are among the nicest and most professional people I have had the pleasure to experience. They really go the extra mile to make your stay memorable. Bravo Antoine and Team. We took part in a boat trip organized by the Hotel and we where brought to secluded empty beaches like the ones you see on many pictures and the Big Tree. Again, everything was organized to perfection. Finally, the food in the Restaurant is really good and you have options within walking distance. Seaview Restaurant or Rice Paddy come to mind. I have been told by people I met that the two resorts in the North have a not so great kitchen and if you want to go somewhere else it takes a lot of time. So lucky me! Thank you Cape Kudu Hotel. *Note to myself: While I write about the eco friendliness of the resort I must admit that riding a motorcycle around the island all day long is fun, nice and easy but not very eco friendly. The long motorboat trips I do with the Scuba people to get to the great dive locations do not help to reduce my Carbon Footprint either.

A lovely little hotel on this quiet Island that had the look of Cape Cod with its white wood reception area and restaurants . We stayed in the villa pool room which was excellent and to be recommended . The Management were most helpful and welcoming and Antionne was an excellent host who even organised us a lift and back into the village despite a storm throwing rain and wind and flying coconuts . Its not an overly lively hotel in the evening so bring your Netflix log in .

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful boutique hotel. The room was lovely, comfortable bed and a pillow menu, so you can choose your perfect pillow. Tastefully decorated, well equipped and clean. Breakfasts were great, fantastic cappuccino, eggs florentine cooked to order and you must try the banana rotti. The pool and the setting are lovely, fantastic views over phang nga bay. I also thought the complimentary drinking water at the pool was a nice touch. We only ate in the restaurant once, but the food was great. The staff are lovely, and a shout out to the general manager who is very on hand. Location wise, I felt Koh Yao Noi was idyllic. The island is low key, if you want parties, this is not for you. But if you want peace and nature then it is great. Cycle or scoot round the island, which is clean and friendly. Spot hornbills which are plentiful. Take long tail boats out to the surrounding islands. Eat in the restaurants along the beach, which are plentiful and all were excellent. Borrow a kayak from the hotel and see the island from the sea. Basically there is plenty to do and you could easily spend a week or more here. Cape kudu had a wonderful atmosphere, it felt both refined but relaxed. The other guests and staff were wonderful. Our 4 year old daughter was treated like a princess. All in all an excellent experience ❤️

We spent a week here in a pool villa and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Great location with a good choice of restaurants nearby and the island is small enough for you to explore via bicycle or scooter, depending on how fit you are! There are elements of the resort, both in the room and in the main pool area that look a bit scruffy and could do with sprucing up but nothing too significant. Even the temporary incursion of 30 or so youngish Americans who attended the local ‘who has the loudest voice’ contest wasn’t too traumatic thanks to the management keeping them calm! All in all, a really nice resort that I believe will improve (post covid) and we’d happily return if we are in the neighbourhood

We spent three nights here and cannot wait to come back next time. The staff are attentive kind and extremely supportive. The rooms are beautifully decorated and well designed the location of the hotel is beautiful just facing the sea with beautiful views of Andaman beach. I can’t say enough about our time there . Every person’s encounter during our stay here greeted us with a friendly smile and made us feel welcome. I would like to thank all the crew for their hospitality and great service with special thanks to Ronny and Nccn and litar (please forgive me for not able to pronounce their name correctly) and all the staff who made the place more memorable and special.

We chose to stay at Cape Kudu for our honeymoon after viewing Cape Panwa as a wedding venue and wanting to visit a part of Thailand we had not been to before, and we couldn’t have been happier with our decision. We were greeted warmly by Antoine and Gwen and the service was spectacular from all the staff throughout the week. They definitely made us feel special, with a couple of little surprises along the way too. We didn’t eat at the Hornbill Restaurant in the evenings, but breakfast was great and we had lunch in Cafe Kantary next door a couple of times. We opted for a pool villa which we loved. It was slightly smaller than we had imagined but it met our needs. The main pool was busy at times so it was nice to have somewhere quiet to escape to. There were also more children at the hotel than we had anticipated. We booked two island tours through the hotel and would highly recommend both trips. We also booked both sets of transfers through the hotel the journeys were very smooth. There are a number of restaurants and chilled bars within a 10 minute walk (Green Coffee House being our favourite!). We hired a scooter and sidecar from the place next door for one day to explore more of the island. We would definitely stay at Cape Kudu again. Thank you for making our stay so wonderful!
