We had three wonderful days at the villa. Private swimming pool, private beach (and very lucky us, private hotel because we was the only one customers at this moment). Great service, excellent food (we asked fish and crabs and they was perfectly cooked), amazing Villa. We usually love to take the motorcycle to go in Koh Yao noi... but that time, we just wanted to spend time at the villa ! We also booked the boat « Escape » and have a great time. We will come back very soon ! Anna & Mario

Thanks Anna and Mario! Thanks also for recommending us to your friends that we already hosted. Very much appreciated. It make me very happy that you had a good stay, especially during these times. We are commited to keep our services up to our "normal" high level and its so nice to read its appreciated. Keeping the team employed and maitaining the villas (and boat) has been our goal and now I think we can see the light in the end of the Covid tunnel. As you did...the first travelers back to our island will experience our surroundings not impacted by mass-tourism. The nature is back with amazing animal life...in the sea but also on land. Always welcome back! Thanks again.

Dear Guests! Thanks for this very nice review...also thanks for your support during these troubled times. Im so happy to read about the sunrise and the sunset experiences as our location actually offer both. In the morning its spectacular to see the sun rise between the rock formations of the National Marine Park. For sunset the sun illuminates the same rock formations "from the back" so they turn all limstone white just infront of the resort, always spectacular and sometimes in pink/red depending on the sun. Welcome back and safe travels.

Coastal Escape feels like a private villa with hotel service. Besides the beautiful villa on the beach, we were impressed by the excellent food. The menu offers a perfect mixture between Thai cuisine and international dishes from Thai curry to burgers and lasagne. All very finely cooked. Relaxed but still upscale atmosphere. The crossing from Phuket to the hotel by private hotel boat is expensive, but very comfortable and therefore recommendable. The island can be explored by moped (rental by the hotel) in a few hours, there is not much to see. The beach is less beautiful than e.g. in Phuket. Coastal Escape is located next to the luxury hotel six senses Koh Yao Noi. Tip: go for a bar or restaurant to Six Sense. But we still found the food in Coastal Escape better than in Six Sense.

My wife and I recently spent 5 nights (Villa #1) at Coastal Escape and had the entire place to ourselves. Future guests can only be so lucky. While that circumstance is likely due to COVID-19, I can assure you that any worries we had about the pandemic were dispelled immediately upon arriving that first day. In fact, Daniel, the General Manager, had written to me about a week before our arrival with a very extensive list of safeguarding measures they were taking. Koh Yao Noi has not been hit with the virus but my wife and I were both very comfortable with the actions of the staff. The villas are so spread out (there are only 4) and immaculately clean so that it was easy to feel at ease. If you can make it to the resort as soon as.....immediately, you should have no hesitation! We ate every meal here and they were all excellent and reasonably priced. We took an excursion to the surrounding islands on one of the days and the trip to Koh Hong was one of the highlights for us. I had a fishing trip also that night with local fishermen in a local boat which I also thought was wonderful (but not for the faint of heart! :) The staff was very thoughtful about safety and also that the trip matched the expectations we had. Everything was super; no complaints and it was just what we wanted - beautiful views, access to pools, a clean villa and grounds, and attention when we wanted it but seclusion, too, when that was our wish. Thank you to Daniel and his team for a great week.

Dear Guests! A big thank you! After being closed for months and finally back open again, it feels extra special to read these kind and positive words. We have tried to keep all staff on and give our guests best possible resort experience already from re-opening...so it feels great that we made you happy. I had a smile about the fishing trip...its definitely an "off the beaten track experience" and the description and guidance is spot on :). As the ground breakers for our re-opening you will always have a special place in our hearts...most welcome back in the future. Thanks again for support and being such nice guests. Safe Travels from the Coastal Escape Team.

If you have ever wanted to combine the luxury and convenience of a five star hotel and the freedom and space of a high end villa, in an amazing location, then this concept and property is for you. The villas are of a really excellent standard - the bedrooms are breathtaking. Conveniently, they have a small kitchenette, stocked with branded snacks and drinks, all at very reasonable prices (to note all food and drink here is reasonably priced - and with no compromise on quality). Anything else you need, just press your call button. To note, if you are travelling with small kids (ours are 2 and 4) the resort is suitable. There are safety locks on doors and plenty of space to dash around whilst not disturbing others. All staff try hard to provide a high end, personalised service. Aek stood out to us as a luxury service professional who instantly anticipates and responds to guests’ individual needs - thank you for all you did for us during our short stay. At the end of our stay the heartfelt farewell we got, with all available staff helping us into our taxi and waving us off until we couldn’t see you anymore, brought me to tears! A trip out on the resort’s speed boat is highly recommended - the crew are thoughtful, professional and knowledgeable about the local area. They are an extension of the high standard of service provision and we all enjoyed our morning out with them. We have travelled all around Thailand in the last couple of years and Ko Yao Noi has to be one of the best spots we’ve found. The island feels touched but nowhere near spoiled by tourism. We hope to be back in coming years for a longer stay and to explore the island further - three days was definitely not enough!

Dear Guests! Many thanks for your detailed and describing review. Its really nice to read and its a real moral boost for the whole team to see we made you and your Family happy. Its interesting you mention having your kids with you, but not disturbing others...its really like that. The villas are separated from each other with much space so there is place for both a snooze and some playing. The private villa pool i also suitable for kids as the main pool has no shallow end. Thanks for all you mention...and also Aek, we always discuss guest reviews in our staff meetings so he was happy to read his name once again. Aek is spending his "pandemic time" fixing up every little detail in the restaurant/pool area...it looks like new!! Welcome back and safe travels.

Dear Guest. I seen your email and replied you twice. Please check your "junk" mail. So to my reply...sorry, all villas are 2 bedrooms with king beds. Said that we can provide a comfy extra bed for free. The extra bed can be put in the 2nd bedroom or in the spacious livingroom. Sure to have the king bed is the best...but we have "separated" many teen siblings the way I describe, with success :)

How would we get there from Phuket airport? How long does it take? Do you provide transportation? Thank you
Sep 2019 |
We have our own speed boat here at the resort. We do quick and safe private transfers to a very good rate. We also do joined transfers with scheduled boats if you like to budget the transportation. For rates and description look at our website. Click Koh Yao Noi...click "Getting Here". The transfer from Phuket is quick, only 25min speed boat ride joined or private. Its many times quicker to get to the island of Koh Yao Noi than the main parts of Phuket from the airport.

Hi Rebecca, Thank you for your questions. Regarding snorkeling, you can snorkel off the beach but its not that good. Just 5-10 min with boat (longtail or our own speed boat) you find great snorkeling spots. Our boat drivers will find the best spots and best visibility for the day. When it comes to bars and restaurants...500m walk away you have several restaurants, the Para Bar is only 100m away. Distances are not far here. To get around the island you mention the two most common ways but we also have local taxis, we can call them and get them here in 15 min. They usually drive you where you want to go and then wait, and take you back. For a family it cost 500 baht to go to town (furthest away) - 2h wait - and coming back, as example. Not cheap but ok. Love to see you here in April. Best regards Daniel.

This resort sounds wonderful. Can we hear the ocean at night when we are in bed? I love that! Thanks
Jun 2017 |
Yes you can! We are very close to the sea and nothing is blocking/disturbing the access to the sea in front of each villa. Our sliding doors also have screens so you can enjoy the sound without getting insects inside the bedroom. If you like to have both sliding doors and screen doors open there is a mosquito net over the bed. Welcome!

We are a vegan family. Are there many food options for us at this resort?
Mar 2017 |
Hi again...could be good to point out a few of your favorites and we add a few new creations depending on how many days your stay is. I think we can between us find a really good set-up for you.
