We’ve really enjoyed our stay, thank you very much for making us feel so welcome.
The staff are lovely and polite, rooms were well maintained and great and we definitely loved getting back to our room having the AC on in this summer heat.
We had a swim in the pool every morning (and some evenings) — if you don’t have a child, you’ll love to know that they hold “quiet hours” at the pool when no kids under 14 can access the wellness area. We’ve also had a massage each that made us feel so relaxed.
As the guests of Bonvino, we were given a voucher to have a small wine tasting at the Fata Vineyard that we both enjoyed - we definitely recommend this - do eat at the Fata restaurant too as the food is lush.
We came to Badacsony to relax and drink wine, we left feeling relaxed and with 7 bottles of wine in our luggage (already trying to figure out how to deal with our baggage restrictions at the airport).
We hope that we’ll be able to come back.

Spent 2 nights here recently. The rooms are okay, nice that most have semi-private outdoor area/terrace and the beds are comfortable. Hotel itself is small and fairly average for the Balaton in this price range. Buffet breakfast was definitely above average with very nice selection of traditional cured-meats - way beyond what I've seen anywhere in Hungary. They have small wellness area but 'SPA' is a bit of a stretch. No outdoor pool, but close to the beach which is great and also bars/restaurants and many wineries via 'shuttle' or short drive. Good wifi and free parking onsite.

excellent atmosphere, perfect, polite and well organised staff. once you pay a visit, sure you will return. clean rooms of a unique country style with a hint of modern touch. original home made dishes with an enormous variety of local food. simply impossible to taste everything. small but cosy wellness with saunas of different types. definitely worth visiting.

Hotel located in the centre of small village Badacsony on Balaton lake. Few minutes walk to lake shore via short pedastrian promenade. The village itself seems to be a bit chaotic and on my understanding - only summer season place.
Hotel has interesting planning, having room on two wings. To access some levels, you need to pass over restaurant, placed in middle of building. Room was equiped properly, beds was comfortable. Underground parking available + parking outside within hotel area. Overall it was short, but nice stay.
Positive: good breakfast
Negative: nothing specific to mention
Would recommend.

We went there for a prolonged long weekend and enjoyed our stay. The Hotel is nice and in a very good location. Just below the Romai Street, which offers after a short climb a breathtaking view on the lake and the surrounding wineries. If you happen to feel like cycling you can try the Kali 8 or just relax by riding along the Balaton.

The staff was very friendly. The Hotel offers some special discounts on local wines that we took advantage of. Suggest you do the same. ;-) A HUGE PLUS is that they offer gluten free diet, which is really rare.

Only drawbacks where: that the room is OK, but could be better. As well as the food varies from excellent to good, dependent on the day you visit.

We will for sure go there again in the near future.

Spent a long weekend hear. Good location, but our room had no view. Breakfast and dinner was all right, the restaurant serves quality local wines. The room was clean, but there was an unpleasant smell due to some drainage issue.

Two nights here (just out of season) on a motorcycle tour with it raining on the day off the bikes. The hotel has got options for swimming (pool looks a good size) and various spa treatments, didn't use them myself so can't comment hence the 'average' score. Room was a bit narrow but a decent size, evening meal was buffet style and again average but plenty of choice. Breakfast was poor (in my view) as not as lot of choice, coffee and tea area very cramped even though the hotel was quiet. Everything around the hotel was closed.

Dear keithhd888, Thank you for your feed-back. For breakfast we offer between 2 to 4 hot dishes a wild variety of cold cuts and cheese selection, and even cracklings (töpörtyű). We have a milk-bar including organic-, rice- and almond milks. fresh fruits are also part of the standard offering. We look forward to welcome you again our colleagues at reception will make sure to help you find as many open wine cellars (or other activities) as you wish for! Kind regards, Peter Torok

We spent a nice romantic weekend at the hotel. The hotel is 3minutes walk from Balaton.
The buffet breakfast and dinner was very very good, with several meal options. We also recieved a voucher for winetasting. The staff was very kind, the rooms and bathroom nice and clean.
Everything was good, except the bed was too soft for me. Since I have back problems I prefer harder matrasses.
I really liked the posibility to rent bikes and e-bikes, I would recomend visiting the Szigligeti fortress, which is 9km away. The spa facilities were also ok and felt perfect after the bike trip. However they did not have slippers so do take a pair with you.

Badacsony is one of the best wine regions in Hungary and Hotel Bonvino is a great choice if visiting. Both the restaurant and the wine bar represent exceptional quality. The design is outstanding throughout the hotel. The buliding is in a short walking distance from Lake Balaton.

We've been there twice in the last two years during our trip to Badacsony and we had a very memorable experience both times. The staff is professional and friendly, the hotel is very neat and cozy, there are rooms in different styles and layout. Besides the great variety of local & other Hungarian wines you can also enjoy the restaurant's tasty dishes and the wellness facility (saunas, steam bath, swimming pool, jacuzzi). The hotel has a great location, it's worth to discover Badacsony and the other wine cellars as well.
