The hotel has no design or atmosphere. In fact it had the feel of a communist era concrete building trying to be a boutique and fine wine hotel. We arrived at 20.45 as the sign posts to the hotel were impossible to find. The night manager was very nice and managed to order us a take away pizza, as there was no food available in the hotel. I would expect a 4 star hotel to be able to provide some food after 20.00 when I was informed the kitchen closed. We did enjoy a delicious bottle of wine with our very uninspiring pizza. We had paid for a superior suite which was ok and had a nice balcony. We had thought of staying more than one night but were pleased to to find a much better, less expensive option on the lake. The breakfast was also uninspiring and the plastic mock lace chairs

Dear Alexandra779, We are greatful for your review even if it is far from what we are hoping for. We can not argue with your opinion about our design, it is of course your right not to like it. It is clear to us that the strong, unusual but at the same time unique and inspiring design can be unsettling for those who are only used to the standard hotel designs - and we do our most to avoid "surprising" our guests this way. That's why we publish plenty of photos about the hotel, so to know where one is booking its staying. The photos while being nice are of course not misleading: those show who and what we are. Our Tripadvisor page has plenty of them as well. We apologise for not being able to provide you room-service food we are currently working to find a solution to this. A different solution (and it is used by many of our late arrival guests) is to let us know about your time of arrival and we make sure to prepare some delicious plate for your evening meal. Kind Regards, Peter Torok

Our three days stay was absolutely uncomfortable. When you are arriving in an hotel, you should feel cared, and to go inside a warm place. Bonvino faults all these expectations. This is about the feelings. Spa area is very dark and small, pool was cold, and no towels available. Only sheets with holes, as that one in the bed. No king size bed available at all. We choose half board, but the dinner is just a buffet, with limited choices. Cappuccino for breakfast was noted as an extra. Making it shorter, there is anything really wrong, but it's not a comfortable place. The living area is full of small chairs, and no sofa. Never back there again. Never suggest to anybody to get there.

Dear Silvio R, Thank you for reviewing our hotel. We are desappointed your time with us was not at the level we wish for and we apologise for any inconvienance you might have had. In order to give a fuller picture about our hotel please let me add the followings: We cannot change the size of our spa area what we do however is to state clearly in our website and through our partners what we can offer: a swimming pool with separated area for children, a jacuzzi, two saunas one hammam and an infra sauna along with a sun deck in the summer. The ideal temperature of the water is different for each person: The swimming pool is cooler (about 25-28 degrees), which is optimal for swimming, the jacuzzi is warmer (around 35 degrees) for relaxing. We acually do have king size beds in our two suites, just make sure you mention this request while booking. The half board is indeed a buffet. The buffet consist of at least four different starters, two soups, four main dishes and sides as well as a selection of desserts. I do not know if by living area you mean the lobby or the living area of the apartments, but both have sofas (the lobby has several of them). Nevertheless, thank you for your time and we wish you a pleasant stay in Hungary. Best regards, Peter Torok

We spent there 4days, which was amazing. The extraordinary landscape, and a lot of delicious wine. The hotel itself was good, the wellness section was also fine. The room was quite stylish, but the bathroom wasn’t satisfied our necessity. I don’t think so we would go back because there are enough programs in every seasons. Because of that we really couldn’t make use of the hotel’s wellness section.

We read and heard so amazing things about BonVino that certainly raised high our expectations. The reality though is different... Design, hotel, rooms Basically there is no design at this hotel. The atmosphere therefore is pretty average. Our room (304) was totally simple, nothing nice or special in it. The bathroom had a bad smell - no big deal we could handle that. The restaurant gives you the impression that this venue was built in the 70's - again, zero inspiration, specialty. Food The food is good - as long as you like traditional heavy Hungarian cuisine. It's delicious but nothing extra. Service This is nice people who are polite and can apologize if something is not working properly. Not sure they are trained to make any extra mile but no issue with them. To sum it

Dear Balazs P, Thank you for your informative review. We are pleased that news of our Hotel are so positive, and at the same time we are also disappointed you have not had such a great experience. At the same time you leave us perplex when you say things like the food is "delicious but nothing extra" - to be honest delicious is the best we can aim for. We are proud to have a quite strong and therefore in some aspect unconventional design and we make sure to post a lot of photos of it to our website and to Tripadvisor as well so guests can have a full picture before booking. Thank you once more for taking your time to review us! Kind Regards, Peter Torok

Upgraded to a suite. Nice, comfortable room, excellent bathroom, good WIFI. Underground parking. Half board, breakfast and dinner served buffet style. Food selection was good, quality varied from very good to so-so. The dining room feels like a clinical cafeteria. It was out of season, there were few guests, and the wine bar was not consistently manned. Staff were generally very good.
