Traveled during last week of May, so the climate was very hot. Location wise, its not great, few miles away from the beach, but the hotel itself is good. It has a large lawn and a decent pay area for kids. Pools are not very clean, but still OK for a dip. I book the ground floor room with open bath area. Though it was pure summer season, but there were few insects around due to grass and few trees around. Thought I have never seen the 1st floor rooms, but if you have kids or hate insects, then it can be a good option. Room are decently big for a family for 3. Open bathing is something which is different. For food, I would say that its the best part, either veg or non veg, they are delicious. Service is OK, but over all good experience. Though nothing much to see around.

Been to this resort during the independence day weekend. The road leading to this resort was really bad at some places. Though this is around 150km from Mumbai but, took almost 4 hours to reach. We took the cottage. When I opened the room, I found it quite nice with a bathtub. However, i was disappointed at so many small complains I had to made as soon as I checked in which I really don't like to do 1. Inter com was not working 2. Geysers switch was lose 3. One of bulbs was not working 4. Unable to locate the AC remote 5. Tea, coffee was really bad 6. Asked for pesticides as we found a big cockroach in the bed On the plus point, room was spacious. The bathroom was glass door with no lock so absolutely no no no couples. Swimming pool was well maintained inspite of monsoon. Staffs was helpful as they always tried to respond immediately. Lots of greenery. No wifi, mobile data network in that area was big let down. They don't accept cards which is a big problem as there is only one atm in the bordi small market area. They could do much better given the area. Wasted opportunity inspite of such good location and infrastructure. …

Orchard the Resort, a get away place for couples who lack spending quality time due to their busy work schedule. The well maintained ambience and the fresh air captures you and gives you a sense of relaxation. Travelled as a couple on 25 March '16 Entire campus was immaculately maintained. The Garden View from the balcony with was breathtaking. The food at the crazy crab is yummy & staff was prompt in providing service "TRULY VALUE FOR MONEY" the staff at the reception Mr. Ashok Raj was very friendly and helpful. The pool is taken care of and kept clean. If your really looking out for a place that would bring a bright smile on your better half’s face, this is one of it. Will definitely re-plan a visit again

First let me make correction about location published on tripadvisor as Thane. This resort is situated at Gholvad near Maharashtra Gujrat border and 145 kms from Thane city and it is part of Palghar district. It is very close to railway station on a quiet road leading to Bordi. Overall area and surroundings are full of lush greenery. It has nice bungalows converted into accommodation. We checked for 1 day on a weekday and booked 3 rooms. We had a super deluxe room with attached balcony with great view of chikoo farms.Lawn is well maintained. Rooms are spacious though cleanliness could have been better. Room service was prompt. Swimming pool is also nice with separate kids section. You can buy swimming costume but other accessories like tube were not available. They have crazy crabs restaurant inside the resort. We had lunch and dinner. We found service little slow but attentive. Overall food quality was good and rates reasonable while decor has retained an old world charm. Chicken and fish dishes especially crab curry and chicken tandoori lollypop were simply great and waiter was more than helpful . Overall orchard is meant for leisurely break as apart from swimming pool there is nothing much to do. Ducks ,emus, turkeys are there for company. Overall worth a visit for a small break.…

My husband, me & our 9 month old son visited Orchard, The Resort on 27th & 28th Feb 2016. When we reached we were told that our phone booking isnt valid as we reached late. So we were given an option between the simple room & premium room. We opted for the premium room. It was clean and spacious. The bathroom was clean too. Nothing to complain about the stay. We enjoyed the pool which was clean too. Upon our request, I was allowed in their pantry (not their main kitchen) to cook for my son. The food at the Crazy Crab restaurant at Orchard is super bakwass! The basics of food such as chicken chilly dry was inedible. Unfortunately we were so tired and hungry that we ate what we could and left for the room. The restaurant is strictly not recommended. However, I will HIGHLY recommend the Crazy Crab restaurant at Sea Crest Hotel at Dahanu. Both Sea Crest & Orchard are owned by the same family (Mr. Irani & Family) and usually the family themselves looks after the CC restaurant at Sea Crest. The food is delicious (Highly recommended : Basa Tandoori, Chicken Chilly Garlic rice, Chicken Chilly, Prawns). I wish the owners look into the CC restaurant at Orchard too.…

We stayed at this with family members. We took two Premium 1st Floor rooms and one Premium ground floor room. These rooms have added advantage as there is huge nicely kept lush green lawn in front and the swimming pool also can be seen from the first floor rooms. Rooms are properly clean but the bathrooms are average and scope for more cleanliness Breakfast is not included in the room rent We had all our meals in their restaurant. Snack items were good in taste. However the meals that we had for lunch and dinner were below average in taste. Specifically the NonVeg items were very bad
