A fairytale chateau with moat and beautiful grounds. The village has at least two champagne houses and an attractive church. An excellent base from which to explore the champagne region. The food and service were exceptional.

Let you wrap up from the charming place. There is nothing you miss beginning with quietness of the place and friendly staff. Best is to make early reservation for the dinner after a walk through the wonderful country side near by and having visited some champagne producers.

We stayed at chateau d'etoges for a weekend ( 5-6 nov)- 3 adults and a child. The property itself is very nice and well taken care of ( the garden, the channel around the castle, the entrace) . Not the same applies to the castel.. Room - very big and spacious with a nice arrangemnt inside. Unfortunatelly very very dirty.... More

From arrival o departure nothing was too much trouble, we stayed in the Champetre suite and cannot fault anything, the housekeeping was excellent and if you are a foodie the be prepared for a gastronomic delight, have breakfast and if possible skip lunch as the courses seem to keep coming. A little off the beaten track but well worth it,... More

We stayed at Chateau d'Etoges for 3 nights in August 2016. It gets a star for physical "wow" - a great old castle. It gets two more stars for the kitchen and their great food. One star is lost for the dining staff (not very friendly or engaged in the dining experience). The extra hot weather meant open windows which... More

I raved about this chateau last year and hoped that the deficiencies last year would be remedied this year? As per last year, the staff are fantastic and are the chateau's best asset. WiFi is virtually no existent anywhere on the property and especially absent in the rooms, which has been renovated and the bathroom modernised. Front gates shut at... More

We have been visiting the Reims/Epernay area every December for 10 years. For the last two trips we stayed at the chateau. While it is not particulary convenient for either town, as long as you don't mind a bit of driving it is well worth a trip. The building itself is exquisite and the rooms are beautiful. We have always... More

A beautiful place to stay in a superb region for champagne tasting. Borrowed a bike that was not in good condition. All needed servicing. Disappointed that one staff member chewed gum whilst speaking and serving us dinner. very inflexible on providing an early breakfast even though we were catching an early ferry. Seems like the staff just did not care;... More

One of the best chateau experience. There are no more than 1h 40 min by car from Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport. The village, region, garden, building itself are unforgettable. The rooms (seen them all) are large enough and cannot really say that one is the best. Wifi works great and breakfast was more than ok for French standards. I... More
