Thinking more about the "kid friendly" question. Though there were no children present when we were there, the proprietors seemed to us to be very kid friendly types. Very personable people. They have a rambunctiously friendly, "outdoor" dog and the place feels a little like a farm. They have suggestions of hikes to take from the front door of the B and B.
