I really enjoyed my stay at Coolalingo while walking the Wicklow Way. Maura and Mick invite you into their home, and make you feel like a visiting friend, rather than a customer. Tea/coffee and cookies are provided at check in, and they were even kind enough to give me a ride to the train station in Rathdrum the next morning... More

Maura and Mick were absolutely wonderful hosts! The food was delicious. They were so inviting offering us tea and giving us advice and information about the area. We were starting our Wicklow Way hike and they took us to our first day start also. We really felt at home. And their dogs were so sweet.

Typical Comfortable Friendly Wicklow B&B, located in gorgeously rugged Glenmalure on the Wicklow Way, arrived there after 3 hour hike on Glendlaloughs Spinc, & was in need or T.L.C. which was provided by way of lovely pot of tea & plate of cake & biscuits, a few hours rest in a very comfortable room, refreshing shower, then 50 mtrs stroll... Unlike the other reviewers, we did not enjoy staying here: the room was smaller than tiny and very dusty, the bathroom was not clean and there was a major problem with the tubes- the water in the shower did not go down. After hiking all day on the Wicklow Way, we really were looking forward to a shower, a good... More

The owners were so nice and welcoming. We watched together the finals of the Gaelic football and they explained the rules to us.. The facilities are good and it is situated in the middle of the Wicklow way so it's so comfortable! The owner drove us in the morning to see the pure mile tour in the valley which was... More

Stayed here 2nd night of our Wicklow Way, very welcoming, just in the door and we were offered tea and biscuits , lovely chat with the owners who are genuinely interested in your journey, great showers too, breakfast the following morning could not be nicer. It's only 50 meters from the Glenmalure Inn which is ON the Wicklow Way, so... More

Do not overlook this property, it was the cheapest I stayed in on the whole walk. the landlady is brilliant, the bed was warm and comfortable. The breakfast was the best out of 6 more expensive properties I stayed in over the week. The lodge opposite is a great place to eat and drink, but this is the best place... More

We stayed here in the middle of hiking the "Wicklow Way". Maura was very attentive and offered us a welcoming cup of tea and biscuits on arrival. The room and bed was comfortable, with a small ensuite, but adequate shower. The bath towels were a little thread bare. We ate dinner at the Pub across the road. Breakfast was hearty... More

Lovely welcome from Maura - that perfect Irish cup of tea - on arrival at Coolalingo after a wet and windy day in the Wicklow mountains ! Great shower , comfie room plentiful delicious cooked breakfast and great buffet choice. Got all our stuff aired and dry without a fuss. Nothing too much trouble. Peacefull and perfect .

A very welcoming, lovely house directly on the Wicklow Way! I enjoyed the stay a lot, with amazing full Irish Breakfast in the morning, coffee and biscuits when I arrived and a very nice, cosy bedroom. Maura and her family are very helpful and I continued my trip the next morning well rested and with all my cloth dried and... More
