This is a nice place with excellent staff. The room was spacious and clean. However we were in room 8 and there is a common sitting area just outside the window. Notwithstanding the hotel's signage, you still have to ask some guests to be quiet at 11 pm onward so you can sleep. So tip would be to avoid this... More

My grown sons and I spent several days here in August, touring the back country and seeing the bears. Our room--enormous with an eat-in kitchen and lounge area--was dorm like but fine. The country around is spectacular, dramatic, unforgettable. The bear safari is great.

Rooms are large and clean, beds incredibly comfortable but it was a little tired. Damp, musty smell (which may be a consequence of the damp climate) but the place could do with 'freshening up' generally. Although the room has a little kitchenette, there is only a microwave and bare minimum of everything. Given its a drive to the only restaurant... More

The BCML is a brilliant place to stay if visiting the area. The rooms are wonderful, with everything you need including a kitchenette. The bed in particular was big and comfortable, just what you need after a day out exploring the beautiful surroundings. The owners were friendly and helpful and I would stay here again without question.

Nicest place to stay in the area. Roomy clean and comfortable place. We had a kitchen that was really important since places to eat were closed for the saison. So we cooked ourselves. Good location, close by is the supermarket. Nice gazebo with fire pit.

We stayed for a week with the intent of bear viewing in Tweedsmuir Park. The lodge is about 20-30 minutes drive back to the bear viewing stand but you can see wildlife as you drive along the road if you keep your eyes peeled. Our room/suite had self catering facilities and it was one large bedroom/lounge with a bathroom and... More

We spent only one night at the lodge, signed up for an afternoon bear watching tour, and had dinner at the restaurant. The room was a bit rustic, but clean and comfortable, with satellite TV. Our bear watching tour delivered on the bears, our tour guide was knowledgable, we enjoyed the tour and would definitely recommend this to others. The... More

I shared a room with my cousin, each having a separate bedroom. There was a small kitchen which was big enough and well equipped enough to cook decent meals if you so wished. One bathroom, and one of us had to pass through the other bedroom to get there. Breakfast was meagre, not much choice and only Continental. On site... More

My wife and I have just spent 4 days at this beautiful lodge Sept 2015. The staff and service are fantastic, friendly and very helpful, we were treated as friends not customers. Holly took us on two guided trails which proved very insightful and eduxational we saw a grizzly mother and two cubs at very close quarters and a very... More

We had a great time at BCML. Accommodations are roomy, luxurious for the area but pretty basic. Kitchens included and they need to be, few restaurants in the area, the lodge does dinner only five days a week during bear season, no dinners otherwise, no lunch. There is a grocery store within walking distance. The grounds are lovely with lots... More
