If you reserve a ocean front room, make sure you get the room you paid for. The resort caters to M/F couples and not friends travelling together. It took 3 tries and 2 days of our 5 day vacation to get the right room. You are at the mercy of the front desk. Unfortunately with these room changes, we did not get the full experience of the "butler" and when we did, our requests were either forgotten or wrong. The hotel is very beautiful and most of the staff was great.
Wonderful vacation at Iberostar! The staff is excellent, especially our concierge, COLIN! He was very informative and handled all our needs quickly. He is a very nice gentlemen and my husband Steve and I were thankful for his attention to detail. We enjoyed speaking with him. PATRICE at the hotel bar was awesome too--my husband thought her coffee was the best. We were lucky to have picked such a great place. It was clean and inviting. Room and bed were very comfy. The music played at the pool was great. I didn't smell any chlorine at the pool--they must have a different cleaning system, since the pool was very clean. We enjoyed all the food in all the restaurants and main buffet and thought it was good quality. All of the FOOD STAFF were amazing. RINALDO, the bell hop was very helpful too. And SHERYL at the front desk was a sweetie. The Jewelry store on site, AZURE, had so many beautiful pieces--my husband bought me a bue diamond ring, which I love! Thank you Iberostar Rose Hall Beach for doing an excellent job. We appreciate your all your help and hard work.…
We had an amazing time at Iberostar! The service was excellent from the check in to the pool to our room service, the dinners were great! Folks at the pool made sure to make you feel welcome and to ensure you were having a good time! We will definitely do it again!
Staying at this hotel was such a beautiful time. The buffet and restaurant food was delicious!!! The private dinner on the beach was amazing( Jaleel’s your guy as well as manager Michael ! Super premium selections. The pool was clean and HUGE!! Catch my goood fren Oshane, Roshanne and Alistarr at the swim up bar to get you right! The accommodations were superb, we arrived before check in so they held our bags and whisked us off to the jerk chicken buffet by the beach! Loved everything! When it came to excursions they were great with setting up the bus for our existing event. The hotel also provides FREE excursions such as paddle boarding, snorkeling and row boat. Parasailing for a small fee however you don’t leave the resort. No regrets 10/10 everything. Maybe 8/10 for drinks outside swim up bar, a little watery but MONEY TALKS, GREAT SERVICE WALKS. Lol j/k you get hreat service either way but tipping is always best.…
We celebrated our Anniversary and wanted to choose a 5 star resort to relax for a week. The Pool is absolutely beautiful and the courtyard is laid out nicely. We stayed in a Oceanfront with balcony closest to the pier on the beach which had beautiful sunrise and sunsets. Our room was King Size bed and roll out sofa. We found the bed extremely hard and switched off sleeping on the sofa. The first day we had some issues that got straightened out by the next day. The AC was not working the best, so we requested a fan instead of changing rooms. The safe was not attached to anything and could be picked up and removed. We called they and came to fix it right away. The best part was the buffet with lots of choices and restaurants. We were booked at the Italian, Japanese, and Jamaican restaurants. Since this is a paperless resort, we had trouble bringing up the menu on the Iberostar app, so they did provide a paper menu. The App needs better maintenance and someone to keep it up to date if they truly want the best customer experience. The staff were very friendly and extra helpful with directions, questions and assistance. One downfall was that you could not get coffee on the resort until 7:30 am and since I was travelling from Canada, we were 2hrs ahead of Jamaica and found the 2 hr wait for coffee was a bit annoying. I did happen to find a server in the Buffett that was kind enough to get me a carton of coffee cream for our room so we could enjoy coffee each morning before breakfast. We took in a massage which was quite expensive compared to what I normally pay, but was well worth the money for a relaxing 80 mins. When we checked in, we were assigned a Concierge and she was able to book our restaurants, and help me get a fan. I felt bad about not attending the breakfast meeting , which was to show us other resorts, but we really didn't want to waste time in meetings as we do that all week. We stayed at the beach from 9am to noon each day and liked the quiet area near the pier. The only annoying part was the people selling their weed. Security kept them under control for the most part. I wish the beach was cleared more of the seaweed so all of the beach is accessible. I would have rated this resort a 5 star if the beds were softer.…
My time at Iberostar was ok. We came to celebrate my mom’s birthday. Food and drinks were ok… nothing extraordinary. The buffet did have a good selection. We ate at the on-site restaurants as well and they were ok. The rooms were ok. We had ocean view rooms (but a big palm tree was right smack dab in the middle) lol. Danielle with the courtesy desk was AMAZING! If it wasn’t for her, I probably wouldn’t consider giving Iberostar another try. Con: I did have a problem when I asked for new sheets (a few times) and they never came. When I informed the front desk at checkout, I received an “I’m so sorry” response. Olivia at the outdoor bell stand was a bit rude when my brother was asking her questions. While we were waiting on our late shuttle bus, I can observe her on her phone and not being attentive.…
No room service at the portion of the property we were on, even though it advertises room service. Stayed 4 nights were only allowed dinner reservations for 2. Other times had to eat at buffet. Advertises coffee shop. Ask where it was located none of the staff could tell me, had to go to buffet for take out coffee. No decaf coffee to brew in room, they don’t have. Room very dated, no charging spot, luckily I brought the cord and plug. Mini bar was 2 Red stripe beers, 2 Cans coke and 2 cans of sprite. Was supposed to have romantic dinner for 2 on beach. Would have been nice but there are 2 choices and we had to pick the same appetizer meal and desert. Needless to say that was odd. Never received the bottle of wine that was supposed to be included in our package. Can’t buy any bottled water anywhere. Bring your own water bottles and insulated coffee mugs. Actually lost 5 pounds on this trip and so did my husband. Will never stay at this brand of resorts again. Very little shaded spots near pool and beach. Get up early if you want one.…
Food was not great, Hard to enjoy most meals. Some staff were very pleasant others made you feel like you were bothering. 24 hr First aid Station was never open -visited twice -Tried 3X, No Help. Most times could not find a lounger to sit or lay at the Pool or Beach and the place was not yet operating at full capacity, Some restaurants weren't even open full time yet (not mentioned when we booked) Cant imagine this place when operating at full capacity. I mean why do you go to a warm beach destination ? Place is a Joke ! But don't worry if you need a Mask they will send you down to the store to pay $5.00 for a cheap disposable mask after you forked out $7000. to go there. Was happy to leave, not how I imagined my Vacation to playout. Won't return that's for sure
Property's first impression on arrival was positive nice looking resort, it proceeded to decline upon check, here's your key, go find your room. It proceed downhill from there, bar service, buffet service, no beach service at all. Pool bar catered to bikini's so tipping at that point stopped. Speaking of tipping, it was expected from the staff, hard to tip with such poor service. It was that same through out the resort. Room make was always late, fridge in room had 2 pops, 2 beers and a glass bottle to retrieve your water to drink. Pool had black mold along the sides of the pool. Buffet did not open for breakfast until 730, Lunch was not until 1pm dinner was 7pm. Ala Carte dinner reservation was always 930pm.Constant pestering on the beach from locals to buy either cheap gifts, especially marijuana,(we know its the big thing in Jamaica) but you would smell it everywhere you went. Airport service was just as bad. Only good thing was the jerk chicken. It was by the worst vacation experience ever had. Will likely not return to Jamaica again.…
Property had several restaurants and bars closed. Was not advertised as such before booking. My friend is disabled and the elevator was broke the whole 8 days we were there. Told several staff members. One of the reasons we chose this resort. Room service was offered on website but not available when we arrived.
