We have the best family vacation after the pandemic, coming from none traveling for almost 2 years we decided to came to Brazil during winter time in the south cone. Hotel amenities and facilities were really good, I came with my wife and kids , rented 2 rooms which were really well located just steps from the pool side, the view was wonderful and the maid services were outstanding, clean beds everyday, good temperature for the A/C. The main restaurant buffet was really good, though it was not a high end cuisine type the food and variety was really good. 🍕🍟🍝🥪🍩 night shows and kids games were also great, they have a great star camp staff that took care of 2 of my kids and made of their vacation a great time. A few opportunities on the Asian restaurant, ( we tried Mexican , Baiano , Mexican and Italian restaurants. ) unfortunately Asian food was not good at all, I would encourage the hotel team to really assess if it’s better to replace it with a cuisine style that they can handle better or rather train their chefs. Tepanyaki was disappointing , not only cause expectation is to have a live preparation on a teppan kitchen rather than already served plates but also the quantity and quality of the food was poor. Fried rice is not recommended Appetizers and sushi bar was not good either way. So if you come to this hotel do not waste one of your choices with thr Asian restaurant. On the flipside though we are in Brazil this we wanted to try the local gastronomy, the Brazilian restaurant was good, most of the local plates / cuisine were good , we tried Moqueca Do Camarao with rice and other sides. To the whole staff and service team , thanks to all from waiters (waitresses) to servers and Bar tenders they all have a great customer centric attitude. 👏 👏 Guest services and concierge were outstanding I want to praise Erick and Junior for their impecable customer centric approach, for our fly back we had to take PCRs as part of the new ways of traveling they helped me finding the local lap, were open and willing to support me with language translation and helped all coordination with local certified labs for my family to get the PCR tests on time. Erick follow up and support to ensure our test were sample were taken on time and results were delivered as needed to make our flight back. I already said everything i needed to say in the review. The hotel food and drink quality is abysmal. The thematic restaurants are a good idea, but execution is terrible. You guys have no idea what gourmet food is apparently as we tried most restaurants with the gourmet title and they are all horrible. I never stayed on a 5 star hotel that serves Almaden as a choice of wine, sausages with tomato sauce on the buffet? are you guys kidding? this is the worst resort food i experienced in a long time. You should consider replacing your F&B manager asap, he doesn't have a clue what he is doing. Overall pretty bad selection of drinks too, with the hotel trying to upsell guests on the VIP experience to have access to better drinks selection after charing a lot of money for a grotesque product they put on the restaurants. Ill never return to a Iberostar property.…
Bom demais!! O star camp foi top! Todos os garotos que trabalham com os meninos são legais, divertidos e gentil. My kids loved it. They had different activities daily and my boys were able to participate in a circus show they put on with only one hour of practice. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. I would love to come back again!
Food is excellent! Only positive experience on this subject. However, heated swimming pool could make a lot of difference. The furniture and parts of the bathrooms need to be renewed, as they give a dirty or bad appearance.
Friend, We would like to tell about the team suport us during our staed. All the time smaling and very friendly. We would like to point out that we miss indoor activities for rain days and for who are not available for outdoor activities 100 % of the time.
Hotel check in was terrible. Booked with Agoda and specifically booked for 2 pax per room all inclusive. X 2rooms. When we got there check in clerk insisted she needed to debit out Amex with an additional RS 12,000 on top of RS 9000 already paid for a 3 night stay We felt that the hotel had a policy of doing this . Would NOT recommend to anyone.
We were a party of 6 staying at the ocean front junior suites of the hotel. All staff was very helpful in making your stay special. Easy to get reservation for the restaurants and we spend most of our time enjoying the activities of the main pool. Our building was the #1 and we found it closer to the action. The beach is nice with chair and umbrella setup, yummy acarajé fresh made as well as fresh juices and caipirinhas. We did the electric scooter trip which was very enjoyable. The evening shows at the hotel were very entertaining. In summary it’s a great place to relax and Iberostar made it easy with good service, food and drinks!
We made a reservation direct with IberoStar, they have two hotels beside each other, in according what we saw online it seemed to be nice and pristine but when we checked in they put us in a shabby room with no view and very old furniture. We asked to get a room on the second floor with open view being the same room we booked online. Nothing was available then we ended up room in the on first floor, Again it looked even worse than the first room, lamps falling a part, old painting and infested with ants. We went to talk to the manager and she said it was the best room they have to offer to us, our reservation was sent to IberoStar-Praia do forte which is the cheap looking hotel and for some reason they couldn't fix their own mistake. They offered an upgrade for $300 each night which we thought was too much. Their public relation guest service doesn't work and I am still waiting for a return call that never happened. The star prestige is a service where they offer special package. It is a scam for $250 per day as they close at 7pm when most of the people want to have a drink and chat before dinner. Reception employees need to learn how to talk to the guests with respect , they were rude and there was a big lack of information regarding "app" we downloaded. It took 2 two days for it to actually work. I would barely give this place 2 stars. Food is edible but not good, desserts taste the same with a different color, in order to have a coffee and. milk during breakfast time you kinda beg the servers to come and pour. Not a nice place for a couple without children.…
Just came back from a one week vacation with our two young children (2 and 4 years old). We were very pleased with the overall quality of the Hotel and above all else, with the service and kindness of all staff! The hotel has a good size: not too small, not too big. We were in one of the furthest blocks which was great as it was very quiet both for us and the kids but not more than 5 min walking from the reception and main restaurante. There are 5 main pools plus a kid's pool: 3 of these pools, as well as the kids pool are in an area with lots of animation, music and activities going on and the other two are in a more silent area so not matter if you want to have fun or to rest, you will be able to enjoy. If you have kids, the kids pool is the crown jewel as it has lots of slides and water canons and your kids will have fun the entire day. There is one buffet restaurant and different themed restaurants you can book in advance. Food was quite good for all inclusive standards and I was pleasantly surprised with some of the themed restaurants (Italian and Mexican). Bar service was quite nice with beers like Heineken, Budweiser and Brazilian beers as well different cocktails (really good Caipirinhas!) What was good: - Great service. Very kind people from reception clerks to pool waiters - Hotel seems well maintained. You can see it was a built a while ago but it's very well kept - Nice food for all inclusive standards. Both on buffet and themed restaurants - Great bar service all around the hotel - Both quiet and loud areas for you to choose depending on your mood - Nice covid measures with staff handing out hand sanitizer to guests going to buffet and all staff wearing masks - Great pool for kids - For just €50 (~€6/hour) you can extend your checkout time until 6PM in case you flight leaves at night What could improve: - Impossible to improve given the location but the beach can be a bit dangerous. During low tide, it's safe for most people to go for a swim but during high there is a heavy shore break and most people won't be able to swim - Not enough beach beds for all guests (even though the hotel was not at full capacity). Some people going at 8AM to place a towel and "reserve" 2-4 beds - I feel the night shows could offer more than just themed dances and music. Would be great to have more variety and even shows the require audience participation What I can't evaluate: - Daily activities: as I was with kids I wasn't really looking for what kind of extra activities you can do - Kids club: my kids were too young but seemed like the other kids were having fun - Spa - Gym and other sports facilities…
