The best of the hotel is the beach and the friendly manners of the people in Brazil. Huge lines to pick up food, very poor food quality, bad service due to lack of staff and room for improvement in the structure Regarding the service, many times I ordered something and never had it or was not even asked if I wanted a glass of water. The quality of the food is very poor, the good quality was only the local food, “comida baiana”. The deserts were the worst!! The hotel charged 50 reais for every hour for late check out, doesn’t matter if other rooms are available or not ( taking into consideration that the hotel has 70% max of people now). And not thinking about making any courtesy for the client. Also, to do anything is a stress! When we arrived for the check in we waited in line for a looong time, then we lacked information of which activities the hotel provides. For the late check out only the third staff that I spoked to that told me that I had to go to the reception to change the time on the room key. Also, the room we got was in the second floor WITHOUT ELEVATOR. How can a hotel call itself a 5 stars this way? And with a lot of noise from the pool that all the time had music or entertainers in the microphone. The structure of the hotel lacks maintenance, the bathroom seemed very old, some walls in the hotel lacked painting also. I went to have a massage and could not super relax because the bed was making noises every time! The covid measures are not ideal! The guests have to serve themselves! The ideal would be for the staff to serve everybody. Also the staff does not wear gloves! And, I saw games with balls promoted by the animation, even with alcohol gel amid covid it is not ideal. …
I travelled with my family: my husband and 2 kids (5 y.o and 2 y.o) for 6 days. The place is beautiful, the cleaning of the hotel is over the top (me and my family felt very safe , specially with this Covid-19 situation), great food, swimming pools very clean, etc. What we like the most? Was the entertainment group (Star Camp) for kids. My son (5 y.o) was so happy to play with them that we almost didn’t see him! It was the first trip that he really enjoyed staying with the group. My daughter (2 y.o) is very young and couldn’t stay by herself, but we stayed together and she could join Star Camp team in some activities. It was amazing! I strongly recommend this hotel for young kids.
Our first impression about this place it”s beautiful property. Reminds me a little bit Hawaii. Ocean is not very swimmable cause of big waves, especially in afternoon. But beach is very pretty. Swimming pools are nice In the morning while not many people. What screwed our impression about this place was a bathroom in our room. We had ocean suit with beautiful view, room was clean and pretty decorated. But the bathroom is completely disaster. After very long flight we were happy finally get to our room and take a shower but it was very strong smell of pee in the bathroom. So we had to call front desk to come and clean it. Sink was clogged as well. Housekeeper came and cleaned the bathroom. Smell was gone. Next day we woke up n went to the beach, came back after housekeeper cleaned our room and again smell of pee!!!! Before we left it was no smell!!! So we had to call again! After second time we didn’t allow housekeeper in our room till the rest of our stay and we didn’t have any smell. So I don’t understand what did they do to make bathroom smell like straight pee?! We stayed in different hotels around the world but never had situation like that! Also some parts of the hotel smell like pee too. So we were assuming they use the same water and drag it over the places ?! After they fixed the sink it’s start to leak, toilet also were acting weirdly. At this point we gave up and just wanted to enjoy our vacation. As we came to rest not to fix hotel issues, which supposed to be taken care before we checked in.…
We stayed with the family (wife and 2 kids, 7 and 5) for 10 nights. The hotel infrastructure is really amazing, with several pools, lots of restaurants and top notch service. Internet connection was surprisingly good everywhere as well. The Star Camp crew dedicated to entertain the kids is from another planet. Seriously, they seem to really enjoy their jobs integrating and taking care of kids of all ages. I would like to especially mention Millena (Chiquinha), a fantastic and very talented crew member who made my older girl have a the greatest of times. Very recommendable experience.
Its an absurd the staff uniform in Brazil, long sleeves, cheap polyester. With the heath here is definitely a HSE infringement. Brazil it’s too hot. Its amazing the staff isn’t passing out of heat stroke and dehydration. Why are they wearing black pants, long sleeves and black vests? They should be wearing tshirts and shorts. And heavy boots. All the guests complain to management but nothing is ever done about it.
