We just stopped for coffee, but we loved the experience so much that we plan to go back for a long stay in the hotel. The main lounge area is just a beautiful space, with a stunning fjord view and elegant decor. The kind of space you want to stay in all day. The owner was extremely friendly and warm,... More

The hotel has just been reopened by the new owner and his family (very helpful). The rooms are basic and need to be refurbished (e.g. no tv & small bathroom). Wifi for free in all hotel. The hotel's public areas are nice, the hotel restaurant offers set menu with refined dishes, but i think expensive (nok 500 for persons). Hotel... More

New owner with a vision of making this a great hotel is already paying off. The surroundings is unbeatable and the boutique style hotel and it's dedicated staff makes the visit great. Highly recommended.

Newly renovated hotel in beatiful surroundings overlooking the Lustrafjord. We spent a night and had an excellent dinner, served by nice staff. Local food is served and we even met the farmer in the bar!

The hotel is renovated- the rooms itself are very simple and standard. The window overlooking the fjord was small but decent- partly since this was an old construction. We spent most of our time on the backside patio winding down from our long drive from Geiranger through Sojnafellet . Hotel Staff was one again the most friendliest, helpful and caring... More

I spent a backcountry skiing trip around "Nasjonaldagen" in this region. Best place to start trips to Hurrungane from there. The view from the Hotel over Lustrafjorden is amazing. The food is so delicious and exclusive regionally - highly recommended. The staff is super friendly and nice. The rooms are simple and cosy, you find everything you need. The owners... More

Skjolden Hotel is so much more than a hotel. When I visit the hotel the new owners had transformed the old to new and modern. Its beautiful surroundings, the new owners, the staff and the food blew me away. All food is from the local area, and almost everything is home made for breakfast. Stayed for 3 nights in a... More
