Somerset Lodge is a perfect getaway and indeed a home away from home. The 100 year old heritage property is well maintained and while it's simple and basic, it definitely is very comfortable. But the best thing about this place is the incredible service. Mr. Mehra and the staff work very hard to make sure the guests are comfortable and...

Myself and 5 other students had a wonderful time at somerset lodge. Mr Mehra and all of the staff looked after us incredibly well and we were cooked some delicious food, ranging from traditional indian, western and chinese. The lodge itself is beautifully maintained and the garden has had some serious work put into it. The whole environment was very...

This resort is owned and managed by Mr R.S.Mehra, a thorough gentleman. He supervises and manages all activities, and never lets the guests feel out of place. We were 9 people of the family and had virtually the whole place (4 bedroom) to ourselves. Enjoyed thoroughly. We got an all inclusive package at a very good price directly from the...

Have been to many hill stations and many different hotels but to believe in the excellent service by somerset staff, you need to stay and experience. The owner Mr. Mehra is extremely friendly and helpful. The property is 120 years old and extremely well maintained.

To begin with, we did not stay at Somerset Lodge but we frequented the cafe located at their huge premises. Though 'Cafe Gahana' was not fully functional at that time, they never declined us service. Their tea and coffee was great and so were the views from the cafe. The owner and the boys at work were great at hospitality...

We came looking for a quiet weekend and found an oasis of tranquility. It's a small, cosy colonial property, with a lovely lawn for a sit-out and a library full of books for all ages. The service at Somerset Lodge is homely and unobtrusive, which is exactly what we wanted. We had lazy leisurely breakfasts basking in the sun and...

The cottages are absolutely beautiful, give a very colonial, yet cosy feel. The views are magnificent. I have stayed here twice - the first time in the upper cottage and the second time in the cottage which is located a short trek away. Both the experiences were amazing. Plenty of treks and walks around the place. The owners take personal...
