We were in Sherwood Greenwood for a week at the end of September 2019. Overall our holiday was fantastic and we were satisfied. Would certainly go back there. Hotel: Quite large area and very clean. Decent size hotel, not too large. Only corner that was a bit let down was back around the slides that could be cleaned up. WIFI: very good at the room, not so good around pool/restaurant/lounge area. We had issues to get 2nd and 3rd access, but reception solved it within 10 minutes. Rooms: dated (we stayed in annex building). Air conditioner is central and useless. We left our terrace door open for the nights to survive. I hope that works better during the main season. Housekeeping could have been better. Attention paid when we left some tip. No minibar water, shampoo or shower gel top up (perhaps on a request?). Staff: Attentive, friendly and all of them who we had a chat spoke English quite well (I was a bit worried about it when I read previous reviews since I do not speak Russian). Food: Every day various courses for the breakfast, lunch and dinner. A bit repetitive but you can always find something to eat. Even for person like me who’s fussy. Selection was quite large. Grilled meat/fish and some pastry every night. Late dinner and breakfast were mainly same what was offered during the main venue, but on a limited basis. Snack bar was quite nice for a bite during the day. I can’t comment the beach side snacks and drinks since we did not take a look. Ice cream was lovely and some pastry snacks in the afternoon too. Main restaurant was clean, bit overcrowded at 7 pm till 8 pm, but staff made such a good job to remake the tables. Drinks: Beer, wine, local spirits (were watered down), soft drinks, tea and coffee. They made cocktails for children and adults. Mainly served in a decent size glass. I did not saw any imported spirits that you can ask for a money. Water was free of charge from the fridges located in the hotel area. At the beach along with soft drinks only beer was served from alcoholic drinks. Pool: large, warm, plenty of sunbeds to use. It could have an issue for larger group to get to stay together, but for few persons there were always sunbeds. We discovered our last day that behind of the annex building and bungalows was area with water slides and pool for the kids (also few sunbeds). Beach: From the hotel 3 minutes to walk. Just across the quite road. Pebble, but no need for extra shoes. Not much room, sunbeds very close to each other. Water very nice and clean. We liked the pool area more and went to the beach just for swimming every day. Entertainment: Lots to do. I don’t know how at the beach, but at pool area: darts, water gym, water polo, air gun, yoga, every day during the day time different kind of game or activity. Girls were really great. In the evenings mini disco for kids (after 2 days you can sing along and know what song is coming next;)). For adults karaoke, party time with DJ, M.Jackson tribute show, dancers night, bingo night (extra paid) and hocus-pocus show. For me, let down was music, that was mainly too loud. Overall perfect!

Read all the reviews before we went, was a little apprehensive as there are a few negative reviews . We stayed for 10 nights in October. The rooms are quite basic, need a little attention but couldn't grumble for what we paid. Food isn't that varied but edible , and the Pied ( Turkish bread stuffed with cheese or meat) was lovely. Ice cream and donuts at lunch available so the kids were happy. Staff friendly and English speaking. Pool and slides clean and there was life guard monitoring water slides. We didn't come across any other English families during our stay but that wasn't an issue as our 8 year old made friends with some Russian and polish children. Entertainment guy balou was funny and did a great job encouraging everyone to join in with water polo and night time shows. I would rate this hotel as a 4/5 , it's a basic 4 star Turkish hotel . if you want 5 star expect to pay a lot more for your holiday. Beach is shingles and some sand , but the sea was really warm, about a 5 minute walk across the road. We would definately go back, can't grumble for what we paid. Cheap relaxing winter break, with amazing weather.

Stayed here for a week and thank god it was only a week.... Weather was really the only nice thing about the place..... food was repetitive which you expect for all inclusive....lots of good options for vegetarians.....but as a meat eater boiled meats all the time is very off putting... If you going for a boozy time...dont not here....you get more of a sugar crash then any other kind off buzz of the poorly made watered down drinks here... If your english....highly reccomend you dont go here...well outnumbered to rude Russians and Ukrainians....karaoke night was a blast with there god awful music.... Hotel is nice to be hones...wifi hit and miss...you have to be out your room by 12 mid day we had no warning of this found outh through only other english couple there.... they then charge 30 euros to keep ur room on from 12-3... 40 euros 12-5...50 for the day I believe....we were lucky and borrowed the friendly english couple we met room from 1200 until our transfer at 1830.. Animation team a bit manic..Balu a bit of a character and other 2 just go round shouting.. .DARTS...WATER POLO. Few shops about.... beach bar same awful food and drinks.... Would not return nice area staff and weather just a different hotel...go to a 5 * in area as they all looked better from the beach... We did have a lovely meal in kemir... 10 min taxi ride at the top of a tower....so wish we went there more often... All in all seriously reconsider booking here... not the place if your english and love a bit of good grub and a nice drink...we took our own Gin from Duty free and topped up the watered rubbish they gave us...

The entertainment is poor and planned around the Russians and Poles, the majority of the staff don’t speak enough English for you to ask them for any information about the resort, that includes the customer relations woman. The food on general is poor, the drinks are tasteless. The rooms are okay could be better cleaned and the beds are hard, the air conditioning unit was very noisy in our room, which meant we had trouble sleeping and don’t forget to tip big the reception staff or they won’t help you with your suitcases which at the end of a very disappointing holiday was the icing on the cake.

Dear Guest, First I would like to thank you for taking the time to rate your stay at Sherwood Greenwood Resort. We value your opinions and take every rating seriously. Our Departments serve in English, German, Russian and Turkish languages. Our hotel is a 4-star facility, serving hundreds of guests at the same standard. We have not received any complaint regarding the taste, quality or variety of food in the hotel. As we serve our guests from many different regions and satisfy them all at the same time, We can not ignore the critical point that everyone has a different taste and is coming from a different culture. Our air conditioning system is a central system and in case of malfunctions ( e.g. like sound) in some rooms repaired immediately when reported to us. As in all departments, It is totally unacceptable that Reception and Bellboys help as a result of tipping. We would be very happy to welcome you again in our hotel as our guest. Best Regards,
