We spent two nights at this hotel with our two children and I can only say that it is an unique and really charming place. Our old son was disappointed by the fact that there was no TV on the room (there is wifi available anyway), but at the end of our stay he was delighted by the time he...

Stayed there 2 nights to visit the mercury mines( five minutes walk from hotel;UNESCO site worth the visit !) Very large room and large bathroom. All rooms are different as this is an old convent (with numerous stair) transformed into a nice hotel. Internet worked well, extra large comfortable bed, no TV in room (one in library). We stayed here only one night but it was a great experience. Jose was very welcoming and gave us a tour of his hotel which has been lovingly restored with great attention to detail. He introduced us to his charming daughter who suggested a great place to eat within walking distance from the hotel. We parked our car in a...

We stayed at the hotel during a driving tour of Spain. We chose the hotel largely based on the positive reviews here and were not disappointed. The house is spectacular and in itself could be the premier tourist attraction in the region. The hotel only has five rooms so is very quiet with a charming intimacy. The rooms are large,...

Jose and Susana went out of their way to make me feel comfortable and welcome in their gorgeous hotel/home. My room was very spacious, with wonderful attention to detail. The breakfast was delicious, including home-baked sweetbreads and french-pressed coffee, something I hadn't seen yet in my 6 weeks of traveling through Spain, France and Portugal. Jose told me that he...

This is a fabulous family run hotel with fantastic attention to detail. The rooms are exquisitely decorated with bags of character and huge beds but also very effective air conditioning . The public areas are also beautifully done. It is not the place to visit if you are after a wild night out, but if you want to get away...

This hotel is definitely worth going out of the way for. Susana and Jose are wonderful hosts and absolutely charming people. The 12th century building has been renovated by this couple with a great deal of love and just oozes charm.
