Brenda runs a great operation, and the El Paraje is a great choice for people seeking a base for exploration of the White Villages. The rooms are spacious, clean, and well appointed. The meals (breakfasts and the optional dinners) are very high quality. Breakfast includes a large variety of fresh fruit, an egg dish, granola, yogurt, breads, meat and cheese.... More

We are from the West of Ireland and stayed Casa Rural El Paraje early last year. This is the real B&B experience with very hard working people with fabulous views of the Southern Slopes of the Sierra Nevada Mountains. Their home is so old world with all the trappings of our modern world. We had a delicious dinner when we... More

Very nice and comfortable hotel in a rural environment. Brenda Bussche-Markey does a remarkeble job there! Do enjoy her cooking and you won't regret it. She can give good advise on all sorts of topics, such as hiking.

El Paraje is a beautiful old cottage with nicely decorated rooms at a stunning location. We stayed there with two couples and had the time of our live. If you like hiking; The owners can advise you many different options directly from the premises. But we also enjoyed the nice big terrace overlooking the mountains and reading a book while... More

We thoroughly enjoyed two wonderful nights with Filip, Brenda, Moira, Roisin, Leon and Door (a friend of Filip and Brenda's). We had to dash for the airport but would have loved to stay longer. El Paraje continues to amaze with its spectacular location, stunning views and superb hosts. You must visit to enjoy and relax. Filip and Brenda have done... More

We stayed here for 3 nights in March 2014. El Paraje has a brilliant location, high up in the Alpujarras, wonderful views from the terrace, totally peaceful. We had three days good walking, all a short drive away. We had a huge room, bathroom and private terrace. Filip and Brenda are very welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. They... More

This was our second stay with Filip and Brenda and their now extended family, Moira, Roisin and the new born Leon. We enjoyed a wonderful time with them last year and made it a "must do" to see them again on our last trip. We were welcomed as friends rather than guests and immediately introduced to Leon, their gorgeous baby... More

This authentic cortijo in the middle of the Alpujarras, now run by a wonderful Belgian family, really provides you with the best of two worlds. Whether you're looking to explore the area by means of an extensive range of readymade hiking treks or whether you're looking for a resting place with excellent wine and homemade meals, you'll be hard pressed... On the referral of a hotel manager in Granada, we decided to book a stay at Casa Rural El Paraje in Burchules, in the Alpujarra region. What a gem of a referral this turned out to be. Firstly, our hosts, Brenda and Philip spoke 4 languages including English. Then they had some magnificent high altitude local wines that were phenomenal!... More

We were happy to have you, and to share experiences with your own business in Australia. Indeed the Alpujjarra wine is a topper, and as we try to work as much as possible with own grown veggies and fruits, we like it when the wines are very local. Thanks for your stay, and maybe you come around one day? Filip&Brenda More

We love it when our guests have a great time, and are very happy when they want to share there experience with other travellers. Thanks for the review. I think you have to come back for that horse-ride we spoke of... actually we're thinking of keeping horse(s) in the near future. See you soon. Filip & Brenda More
