This is an unusual hotel pretty much in the middle of nowhere which is part of it’s attraction. The very rough access road leads to a large unsurfaced car park outside the attractive single story buildings of the hotel itself. It needs paved pathways from the car park so cases can be rolled. The atmosphere is calm and quiet. The design is modern and attractive. There is a pleasant pool area and there are tables for eating inside and out. The outlook reminded me of South Africa. Rooms are generally well designed and generous with an outside veranda overlooking the grounds. They are let down by having no door to close off the high speck bathroom and toilet which had a poor quality cheap plastic seat. Breakfast was very good. Lunch less so. Dinner was simple but good. Throughout or stay service was very good.

The views are simply stunning. The feel of the hotel is a contemporary bolt hole in the middle of a national park. The rooms are big and airy with a great outlook. The breakfasts are so so but could be so much better. The evening meal is good value for money. The hotel staff really do lack any enthusiasm or motivation to provide you with any advice or local knowledge. The cleaning staff are the ones who actually engage and seem the happiest. The hotel currently has work on site for future developments. The overall score would be about 7 out of 10 but could with a few improvements could increase.

The hotel and view is lovely, you will not be disappointed, it looks just like the pictures. The restaurant is simple but the food is good. The staff are all really friendly and helpful. The reason I gave it a 3 is that the building and the people carry the experience but it could make a bit more effort on some detail and amenities quite easily and would propel to a 4 or 5.

Esthetics-wise the hotel is top notch, the scenery is beautiful and the swimming pool area great. Nevertheless some of the amenities were at a 3* level - the breakfast buffet (powder eggs, concentrates juice, poor overall selection) and one body/hair/conditioner product in particular. What shocked us the most was having a toilet and a bed in the same room as the bathroom area lacked door - in order to avoid smelly dreams or early flush awakening we took trips to the lobby toilet..

I stayed there two night with my husband and two small kids. The location is remote, ideal for a relaxing escape and enjoy the nature around. Great rooms with nice and comfortable bed and pillows although a bit noisy with the sounds of television and people talking passing through the walls... great meals, buffet dinner and great breakfast with variety and small homemade pastries. Deserves a visit.

We spent one night at this lonely calm place on the hilly landscape when traveling Portugal. Pure, clean architecture, comfortable room and king size bed too, infinity swimming pool, very good breakfast, tasty dinner in buffet style. Friendly staff. Really relaxing stay.

Aesthetically pleasing and austere decor with an amazing view of the Alentejo countryside, this hotel appears to be “green” and eco friendly. We are the only guests in early April but staff offered a full buffet dinner anyway (which we declined). Cork floors, pictureless walls, all white interiors and an amazingly beautiful 8km winding road through the cork oaks and umbrella pines. Pool is inviting but I doubt it’s a whole lot of fun swimming in the cool water until later in the season.

The bedroom was full with cockroaches. When we entered the bedroom it smelled like bleach a lot, which is not the best signal. After dinner we killed 11 cockroaches inside the bedroom as per photographs! The hotel is nothing special and the photos do not show the reality.
