Stayed at this hotel for 10 days and it was amazing. The location is great and the staff is very helpful and kind. The resort itself is beautiful with the view on the mountains. The staff go above and beyond for their clients and I would recommend this hotel for everyone!

Very nice, calm place and lovely hotel! 10 minutes to the beach (also free transport provided by hotel if needed to the beach bar). Hotel is few minutes from the main road so not that loud. Very friendly and helpful staff members. Good diversity of food, including Greek specialties like mousaka, souvlaki, etc. Nice swimming pools and you can enjoy great views while swimming and sitting by the pool. Seems like they are doing the best they can considering there are less people due to covid and still lots of hygiene restrictions. Definitely good place to stay in, relax and use as a base for traveling across west Crete.

We have chosen this hotel because of the location, not too far from Chania, close to Rethymnon and not very far from Heraklion. The staff was very nice and helpful throughout our whole stay. Rooms are quite big (Apollo 1) cleaned everyday with towels being changed daily too. The pool is impressive with amazing view on the mountains. No WiFi in rooms is somebody needs it, might be disappointed. For rented car the parking was just across the street. Vanilla Beach Bar has free of charge transfers and very nice staff. I hope to come back to this hotel in the future.

- No wifi on the rooms - it was written in expedia and booking that this hotel had wifi on the rooms and that was a lie - it’s only available next to reception. - If you need a safe you need to pay for it, I’ve never seen that before but you need to pay 1,5€ per day to have your valuables on a safe. - This is not a 4 star hotel at all, my toilet was broken on top, the ceiling in a bad shape and when you take a shower all of the toilet gets flooded. - The manager was very rude, he wouldn’t believe I saw written online that there was wifi on the rooms, he called me a liar, saying that he never said that and then when I showed him that information on the website he just said he had problems with the wifi. When I asked him about the paid safe he told me why would 10 euros make a difference to me and if it did why was I on holidays then! Lol good thing I didn’t spend any more cents on this hotel. - I had a travel recipient with an expensive face cream which disappeared on my last day when I got to the hotel room. I had no one from reception or cleaning ladies giving me an explanation about my little pot cream disappearing on my last day. - The food was acceptable but not brilliant. My better options were eating at local restaurants for traditional greek food. - It is said that there is free parking but actually you just park on the street outside the hotel, on the road. It doesn’t say anywhere that it is a place to park, your car is not safe since on our second day we saw an accident where a car hit another one parked on that same street. - The hotel is far from the beach and you definitely need a car because there’s not much around here. - Because of all these problems I tried my best to stay out of this hotel. It wasn’t a pleasant experience for me and I just stayed here to sleep and eat. - Would never come back here again.

Dear Mrs Martha, We would like to thank for taking the time to share your review. We are sorry to learn that your experience was less than enjoyable. Please allow us to mention refering to the free parking that there is a private parking of the hotel in the opposite center of the hotel, but most of the customers prefer to park outside of the reception. As far as the wifi it concerns, we explained to you that was expedia's mistake to mention that there was wifi in the room. We offered you an upgrate room - Suite for all the inconvienience caused but you prefered to stay to your room. The safe is available for 1,5 euro per day is noted to all the websites and is common to all the hotel in Greece. As far as the internet is concerned, we have started a cabling process so that the rooms have internet access. Αnd we do that because we want to provide every requirement of our customers. We feel sorry that we didn't meet your expectations.

We chose this hotel mostly because of its location: halfway between Heraklion and Chania. Perfect spot to explore the west side of the island. Between all the options we found this small family hotel, 4-star (so we thought) in a quiet, affordable area. There were 3 amenities we needed: WiFi in the bedroom (for professional purposes), a safe and free parking. Free parking: do not expect a proper place to park. There are a couple of spaces in front of the hotel and some behind, but we’re talking about parking on main streets. It is not the safest place to park, not because of the traffic, but mostly because of the drivers (cretians and driving rules do not match). We woke up on our second day with a van smashed against a wall in front of the hotel. Thankfully I did not park there. Safe: it is available for 1,5€ per day. First time I witnessed something like that in a 4-star hotel. But according to the manager it is something quite common in Crete alongside paying extra for air conditioning (imagine that during summer) Free WiFi in the bedroom: now comes the main act of our stay. Like I said previously, we needed this for professional purposes. So we made sure the hotel had access to WiFi in the bedroom. We checked everywhere before we booked. We arrived, on a Sunday, and there was only one member of staff to receive us. He had no idea about the WiFi and only said that there was some problem with it, and there was no access on the rooms. The communication was not very clear so he decided to call the manager. The manager was nothing but rude, saying that there was no WiFi in the rooms, it was not advertised anywhere (basically calling us liars), saying that if we could not afford the safe we might as well not go on holidays and it only stopped because my girlfriend decided she had enough of it and ended the call. The following day the manager said exactly the same things but this time face to face. He could not believe it was advertised even though we showed him the hotel page on Expedia. The only WiFi available was in common areas, not rooms. He was not able to say he was sorry for the inconvenience or for his attitude. He just carried on being rude as if he was right. We stayed there 7 days and we left without hearing the most basic common sense sentence any human being with minimal education would say: I’m sorry for that. The hotel is not a 4star hotel. The photos look great but the reality is different. There is no one in the hotel past midnight. One night we got to the hotel at 1am and we had to go around the hotel to get in. So you can forget about pressing 9 after midnight, no one will hear. The bathroom is small but enough for a couple. The beds were twin beds. We booked through Expedia and there was no option to choose a double bed ( if that’s your case send an email or ask for that, otherwise you can expect a twin bed). The food was alright. Some days better than others, but at this time of the year you cannot expect much. There were not a lot of people there at the time. If all you’re looking for is an affordable bed to spend the night whilst you explore the main attractions of the island during the day, then book here. If that’s not the case then you can look for something better than this because there are plenty of options right next to this hotel!

Family owned hotel. In general the hotel is nice, the food was good for adults, for children could be better but my children loved the fresh bread. We had a comfortable room with enough space for 4. Cleaning and new towels we got every day except Sunday. You have to be carefull about the meaning of "all inclusive". Nearly everybody from our group had a bill we had to pay when we checked out. Only cash. The beach is very far away, 20 - 30 minutes. However they offer transfer 5times a day at the defnite time. At the Vanilla Beach you have to pay for everything. However if you buy some drink there you don't pay for the sunbeds. It was incredible noisy in the evening. After 10:30 you pay for drinks so if you pay there's loud music only for YOU. I think we had 2 nights out of 7 in peace. WIFI you have only at the reception not up the rooms. We had to buy candles not to feel the smell from the toilett. But in general I recommend it with not high expectations.

We stayed in Apollo hotel's apartment 9 nights in July 2019. We really wanted easy and relaxing beginning for our three weeks vacation in Crete, so we booked all-inclusive, which was quite ok. Personally I would love to have more traditional Greek meals, such as stuffed tomatoes, gyros, calamari, moussaka and so on, on the selection of the buffet, but we ate well anyway. Very often the cutleries were run out and you had to wait for the food which was finished on the buffet. For our disappointment there wasn't nothing gluten-free available during our stay. Pool is really nice including childrens pool and good sunbeds. So we all enjoyed the pool a lot. 👍 In our opinion the personnel could have been a bit more attentive and customer orientated on the poolbar. Apartment building is located app. 500 metres from the main building. The apartment was well-kept, clean and spacious enough for our family (2 adults and 3 kids). 👍 At the end I would say we got what we paid for. Our stay was pleasant, we left from Apollo hotel well-rested and continued our holiday on the southeast of Crete in small village called Makrygialos. 👍

We stayed in the Apollo 2 building, modern maisonette rooms, great and very clean pool area, breakfast was OK, staff was extremely friendly and supportive. Great value for money. Apollo 1 looked nice, too, with a nice outdoor bar area.

Our tourist agent arranged everything so that we did not troubled much of anything. *middle of june. The Hotel itself looks nice, we were there with both our children(3 and 4). We get a better room than we expected. Not too far from the sea(10-12 min to walk) private beach, very clean, they do provide transport 3 times per day to and from the sea. The room was clean. We had everything we need in it, but there were several rooms with some difficulties. The meals were tasty enough, even if we do not are used to eat some of the dishes...the ice=cream was delicious!!! All in one it was very good. The staff was kind to us. They speak english and russian. A very beautiful view, a great village, a cool Hotel.
