After a small medical related issue and unable to fly we decided to stay at this hotel to recover, (since it was close to a local doctor) and I am glad we did. The room I was in (221) was clean, modern, had a very comfortable bed with clean sheets, a nice bathroom with a shower

3 Star hotel but only just. Rooms are tired, beds are hard, air con noisy. Not much wardrobe or draw space. The best thing about the room was the shower. Says a lot. The breakfast was poor. Every day sliced tomatoes, plastic cheese and meat. Alternate days boiled

Wonderful beach restaurant. Friendly personell, good food and romantic atmosphere. Low prices. Sea view from the restaurant. And the most lovely cat, who got some of my moussaka. I recommend this beach restaurant!

Perfect location by the beach. A bit dated but that's the charm of being back in Greece. Family run, large rooms, spotlessly clean with maid service every day. Excellent bar, restaurant overlooking the local beach. Great food at reasonable prices. Service impeccable, everyone

How far to nearest Taverners please
The Iliada Beach Hotel is perfectly situated in the centre of Gouvia village & all the tavernas & restaurants are only a few minutes walk away. The hotel itself has its own restaurant set out on a lovely decked area and the food is very good.

Hi Catherine. Gouvia has a shingle beach which we like. We also like the nice breeze you get from the bay which is only across the road from the Iliada Hotel. In June it cost us 8 euros for the day to hire two sunbeds with an umbrella & table. There are quite a few hotels in and around Gouvia with pools and some do advertise use of these if you purchase a drink and/or food e.g. Zefiros Apartments & Spiti Prifti Apartments which are opposite each other and about a 10 minute stroll away. Enjoy !

Is the hotel suitable for someone with limited walking? Please
It does have steps at one end leading to the Main Street, but you can go out past the restaurant, then walk along the road, it’s only a couple of minutes longer. We had a ground floor room, which would be ideal for someone with walking difficulties, l myself have a back problem, but found this whole area very easy to get around, it’s quite flat l would say.

No it’s a pebbly beach, but very clean. Little one would be fine with jelly shoes though. Most of the beaches along the east coast of Corfu are pebbles.
