Had a very pleasant stay at the Paradise Hotel. The owner and staff were all very welcoming and helpful. We had one of the updated rooms, as most of them are, which was tastefully furnished with a super shower, hot and powerful. A comfortable bed and daily maid service. The food had a home cooked feel with enough choice to suite most tastes and certainly plentiful. The pool is a very nice spot to spend the day. There is short hill to walk up or down to reach the town of Gouvia, which has plenty of restaurants if you fancy eating out and a pebble beach on an attractive bay. The No7 bus takes 25 minutes to the center of the old town, a delightful place to wander. Overall I would happily stay at this hotel again and would recommend it over a larger hotel if your looking for a quieter more personnel experience.…
From the welcome as I arrived through to my departure, all the staff were friendly, professional and keen for me to have a good time in Corfu. My room was spacious and comfortable with a balcony from which the sea glistened in the distance. Both breakfast and dinner were buffets with plenty of home cooked food available at well spaced tables and, as reviewed by others, the guy behind the bar made a good mojito! It is a 10-15 minute amble down to the beach and though there is a hill to climb to the hotel, you do not need anymore that a basic level of fitness to walk back up. Overall a well run, small hotel with great staff.
High end 3 star hotel. Rooms were lovely and newly renovated, with nice clean bathrooms and good beds. The hotel setting is beautiful with great views of the bay, and plenty of space around the pool, which is also lovely. Very kind and hardworking staff, fine buffet breakfast and dinner. Friendly bartender who makes the best Mojitos!! Kind regards - “The Danish lot”
Calm and cozy place with a beautiful view. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room with garden view was nice and clean, bed was big and comfortable. The pool and sunbeds were perfect and we really enjoyed it after daily trips around the island. It is a super place for quit and relaxing holiday and we were really enjoying it. Greetings from Lithuania to: hotel owners family, mojito master Vasilis, all the staff and the donkey ofcourse!
Welcoming, relaxing, good food (buffet breakfast and dinner - very limited vegetarian options, great salads, desserts, usually two meat dishes), comfortable beds, friendly staff, lovely(cool) pool, beautiful views over Gouvia Bay. We needed a quiet, relaxing holiday and this hotel gave us just that. Although Gouvia is rather quiet, and it's beach small and pebbly, we were happy to relax around the pool. Watch out for the sunbeds, they tip up if you don't sit in the middle! We hired a car (very easy to do from the hotel) to explore the island and to get in and out of Corfu Old Town, which is very pretty and worth a mooch. The roads are a bit challenging but a trip to the west side of the island is well worth it for the beaches and scenery. The hotel is a short walk up a quiet steep hill from the main road. Half board is provided, along with a snack/a la carte lunch menu which is very reasonably priced. Drinks at the bar are expensive, but a supermarket is only 10 mins away to stock up on drinks for the balcony! Corfu at the end of the season is very quiet but weather quite reliable - visit before everything closes up mid October til mid April.…
We just stayed for 2 weeks at the paradise hotel ,our second visit in 2 years. The things to recommend it are:fabulous friendly greek staff, always very helpful and cheerful, peaceful location and plenty of space and views around the pool, easy location to pop into corfu town , or explore the island as pretty central.great value for money and great choice of Greek food at meal times.inspite of being in Gouvia, due to its location on top of a hill we found it very peaceful and totally relaxing place to unwind and loved the view of the mountains and the sea.would Definately stay again !
It's a very nice hotel, we enjoyed our stay a lot. Got to visit the surroundings and many beaches. The staff was very nice and ensured we had everything we need. Props to Vasile who got us the best mojitos ever! Cannot recommend the hotel enough!
Is our second time Corfu , “Paradise Hotel” is a very good place, personal more than friendly , special front desk Mrs. Evi and on Service Mrs. Sophia. She teach us little Greece, but for me difficult . Breakfast and Dinner for me very good. Room very clean, so we have a nice time here. Hans-Heinrich
My husband and I returned to the Paradise Hotel after a break of 15 months. We were so impressed on our first visit, we were keen to return. Unfortunately the room that we were given on this occasion was not comparable with last years. The loo took many attempts to flush, the fridge had not been cleaned and the bathroom was very old with mould in several places. I can't fault the cleaners in general as they do seem to do a thorough job, but we were so disappointed having had a renovated room on our first visit, there was just no comparison. The staff as before were friendly and we did speak to the owner, Amanda about the room, but they were unable to offer us anything better. My husband is a vegetarian and although Amanda offered for the kitchen to cook him something specially every night ( which was appreciated), the food in general was average and it would have been lovely to see a wider vegetarian selection. For me there was a varied choice, but many of the vegetables were either tinned or very overcooked and there were a couple of evenings when my husband had one choice of hot dinner - fortunately he is easy to please and didn't complain, but I do think that the veggie options need a bit of updating. Sadly we will not be returning - our first visit was great, our second was spoilt by the room and the food - however I reiterate that the staff were very polite and the pool was fabulous - apart from the sunbeds which we learnt from last time, one has to be careful with as we watched a selection of guests going A over T with legs akimbo! I…
