This was just as advertised. We arrived around 5:00 for a three night stay and were dead tired from a full days travel from the US and then driving around the countryside. We both decided to sleep and worry about dinner if and when we woke up. We both woke up hungry around 8:30 and Sally made a call for... More

La Thiaumerie is a beautiful converted farmhouse with amazing views. Rooms are clean, spacious, and modern with private baths. Sally and Michael are knowledge about the local area and the D-Day history/sites. We appreciated all their recommendations. There were plenty of books and references about for us to read and borrow. Additionally, they were very helpful and supportive when we... More

I booked 3 nights at La Thiaumerie thinking we would use the place as a convenient rest stop for a family traveling to see the D-Day sites and Bayeux. We knew from the photos that it would be scenic, quiet, and relaxing. What we also found was that the hosts were VERY friendly, the rooms spotless and totally updated, and... More

Sally and Michael are fantastic hosts! We felt very welcome, enjoyed the laid back environment, and the several chats we were able to have with both of them throughout our stay. They are full of information about what to do in the area, and whenever we would ask about something they weren't sure of they offered to look things up... More

This was our third stay at La Thaumerie and it definitely won't be the last. We arrived to the usual warm welcome from Sally, Michael and the 3 cats. The food was great and the room and the bed were as comfortable as ever. We are looking forward to staying at La Thiaumerie again next year.

Lovely location, lovely rooms, and lovely people! Just returned from 3 nights here and wish we could have stayed longer. Sally and Michael were tremendous hosts and could not have been more attentive and welcoming. The house and gardens are absolutely charming and a credit to them both. Very comfortable rooms and spotlessly clean. The little 'pub' across from the... More

What a find! We went there with our 2 grown sons and their new families, Mick and Sally were the perfect hosts, with an unparalleled local knowledge of historical sites from the Second World War and the invasion of Europe, which our boys are students of. Really want to recommend this to our fellow Canadians especially the nearby town of... More

We're very pleased to hear that your family enjoyed your stay with us. As you loved Bayeux so much you may well enjoy staying in the heart of that beautiful city in our ground floor apartment, Studio Thiaumerie on your next visit to Europe if it is just the two of you. More

What a beautiful home and perfect location in Normandy! We received a very warm welcome from Sally and Michael when we visited for the weekend. They were both very helpful in giving us recommendations on planning our sight seeing and excellent restaurants. Their home is cosy and comfortable.
