We stayed one night. Very pleasant village location with lovely countryside. Comfortable room. Very good breakfast. Evening meals we had, we enjoyed. Very wholesome food. Staff were helpful and pleasant. We would definitely stay again.

We stayed in room 1, which was incredibly small. I tried to walk to the other side of the bed and knocked everything off the dressing table as there was not much room! The people in the upstairs room kept us awake with the constant creaking of the floorboards and running of the water! The shower practically scalded us as...

Stayed for 3 nights between Christmas and new year. We were on dinner, bed and breakfast. We stayed in room 12. This was a lovely spacious room and well appointed. The large bathroom had a bath and shower so we were both happy. Toiletries were not replaced after the first day would be my only gripe. Room was warm and...

We stayed one night in a standard double. It was a large room with decent size bathroom. The room had a wardrobe, chest of drawers, vanity unit and bedside units. TV too if you can't bear to be without one. All in all it was fantastic value for money in a quiet and pretty setting. We met friends and had...

We stayed here after attending a Memorial Service in Puddletown. We were shown a beautiful room, had a delicious dinner and followed the next day by breakfast - again really delicious. Nothing was too much trouble and it had parking which is such a joy these days!

We booked this hotel on the recommendation from family to attend a wedding nearby. The staff were all pleasant and friendly, rooms clean and very comfortable breakfast was excellent. The only disappointment was that we did not have time to fully use the bar or restaurant, however the family all got together for a meal the night before and said...

20 of us descended upon the hotel and were pleasantly surprised with the hospitality we received from both the staff and management. The rooms were ample and clean. The food was exceptional albeit the portions were too large and it was served continuously without having to wait too long during both the servings and the different courses. For example, the...

Nice welcome when we checked in. The room was an upgrade, nicely decorated and had plenty of room. You could hear people sat outside drinking as the rooms are around the courtyard but it didn't go on too late. Breakfast was very good as was the restaurant on the one night we ate there. The staff were all very attentive....

We stayed for a last-minute weekend break and really enjoyed it. Breakfast was especially good, though the evening meals also offered a range of pub options. The staff were really lovely! Our room was very small, but this is likely due to the late booking (low availability) and it was not expensive at all. I would suggest making sure you...

Wonderful 4 night stay late September 2016. Excellent hospitality and highly recommended. Local villagers friendly and add the magic to the bar along with a fine selection of canine friends. Accommodation, like the catering is well thought out and the level of customer care is high.
