I was there for celebrating the new year from new years eve till newyears day with the posibility to stay an extra night with my partner. It was a special arrangement with a meal. The meal was fantastic but it would have been complete if a glas of wine would have been included. The double bed in our room was...

We stayed 2 nights as part of a New Year Break package and overall was very good value. Our standard room was quite adequate with good bathroom and housekeeping standards were very high indeed. Breakfasts were fine and good choice at evening meals, big portions and cooked well. I would describe the food as at the top end of pub...

Me, my husband, step-mum and dog spent Christmas here, arriving on Christmas Eve and departing on 27 December. The whole ambience within the establishment is totally relaxing. The food is wonderfully presented and flavoursome and very generous in portion size. Dogs are allowed in all areas apart from the restaurant, but the bar area offers the same food in a...

We stayed in room 1, which was incredibly small. I tried to walk to the other side of the bed and knocked everything off the dressing table as there was not much room! The people in the upstairs room kept us awake with the constant creaking of the floorboards and running of the water! The shower practically scalded us as...

Stayed for 3 nights between Christmas and new year. We were on dinner, bed and breakfast. We stayed in room 12. This was a lovely spacious room and well appointed. The large bathroom had a bath and shower so we were both happy. Toiletries were not replaced after the first day would be my only gripe. Room was warm and...

We stayed one night in a standard double. It was a large room with decent size bathroom. The room had a wardrobe, chest of drawers, vanity unit and bedside units. TV too if you can't bear to be without one. All in all it was fantastic value for money in a quiet and pretty setting. We met friends and had...

We stayed here after attending a Memorial Service in Puddletown. We were shown a beautiful room, had a delicious dinner and followed the next day by breakfast - again really delicious. Nothing was too much trouble and it had parking which is such a joy these days!

We booked this hotel on the recommendation from family to attend a wedding nearby. The staff were all pleasant and friendly, rooms clean and very comfortable breakfast was excellent. The only disappointment was that we did not have time to fully use the bar or restaurant, however the family all got together for a meal the night before and said...
