This was our first holiday as a family with our 16 month old daughter. This hotel has everything a young family could wish for and more. The rooms even come with a small kitchenette space with hobs/microwave/kettle in case you wish to make your child’s food. The food in the 2 restaurants are always varied and extremely tasty. I love the fresh pasta station where a chef will make you a pasta dish on the spot in front of you! There seems to be a slight issue with flies in the restaurant and rooms however this has improved since we have been here. A number of people had similar issues but even eating out flies seem to be everywhere. It might be time of year / the slightly cooler weather. The beach is a stone throws away and I’d argue it’s the nicest beach I’ve been on in Europe! The water is very clear and warm (but mind the jellyfish). The kids club is very good and you are able to drop your child there and pick them up later if you wish. There’s lots of activities for them through the day. The Spar shop opposite is as cheap as you’ll find in the area so no need to venture far searching for a small saving. If you’re after a family based holiday then this location is perfect!

Wow! This place is everything a family could possibly ask for in a holiday. We are just back from two weeks here as a family of five (8/5/3 yr olds) in an all inclusive basis. The two bedroom apartment we had was perfect for what we needed. The kids bathroom was great and the sink being at their height made it much easier for hand washing and tooth brushing. Mari was our cleaner and she did an amazing everyday and always met us with a hello and took the time to say something to the girls. Both restaurants are brilliant. Jorge was lovely as are all the staff. We loved the food. Freshly made pasta in la Basílica was a favourite along with the amazingly yummy sushi and poke Bol! The staff at the bar were great. Chatting to the kids special mention to Tamara, Aziz, Dew and David who made sure we were looked after during the day and during the shows at night.❤️❤️ The entertainment at night is brilliant for the kids and the adult shows are great too although we didn’t always stay as the kids were shattered. The whole kids team and kikoland are worth their weight in gold. Andrea, Anna and Jess Were huge hits with our girls. Our youngest didn’t go in everyday as was often found asleep in the afternoon but the older two loved all of it. Can’t recommend using kikoland highly enough. I can’t hank Magda enough I had the worst toothache and she helped by calling a few dentists and got me all sorted at the chemist. All in all a brilliant family holiday for all of us. Only one point we would make would be to make swimming pool areas no smoking with some signs. Not that it happened often but wasn’t nice to have the smell of smoke around the kids. We can’t wait to come back. Well done to all staff you do an amazing job!!

Dear family, We are delighted to read that you found everything you could possibly ask for on your vacation and we would like to thank you for choosing the Royal Son Bou Family Club for your family holiday. It makes us proud to know that your whole family were so satisfied with the kindness and service of all the staff in the different departments. We will let all the mentioned personnel know about your compliment and for sure it will make them happy that they made your stay with us so brilliant. Magda appreciate your mention towards her and also hope that your toothache is gone and you recovered completely from it. We feel sorry if you were disturbed by the smell of smoke around the pool. But it should be mentioned that we are a non-smoking hotel, except for a small area on the terrace of the bar. If you notice that somebody breaks the rule, let us know and we will act to stop it. On more time we would like to thank you for all the trust you put in us and we are looking forward to welcome you again soon on this beautiful island. All our best wishes, Ester Rodríguez– Guest Relations Department

We have just returned from an amazing holiday! We will definitely book to return! The hotel is spotlessly clean. I have never seen a hotel with staff that work so hard and are always so pleasant, every single staff member. The children's entertainment was the best of any hotel we have ever stayed at. There is so much going on, our children loved the trips and the events going on all day every day. There was something for everyone. The evening entertainment was absolutely brilliant. It was so nice to be so close to a beautiful beach. The two pools were immaculate and always plenty of sunbeds free. Our room was great, we booked the two bedroom apartment it was really spacious and again, so clean. The sea view was so lovely to wake up to every morning and hear the waves. The hotel shop was the same price as items at home so next time I would not pack as much as we could buy it there and the inflatables for the pool were also the same price as home. The restaurants served the most beautiful food, so much choice and a different theme every night. It was great for my children to be able to try lots of fantastic new foods, we were all spoilt for choice. I would give our trip a 5 star rating and we will certainly return! The children said it was their best holiday ever! Wish we could have stayed longer. Thank you!!

Dear family, Thank you for written a review about your stay at Royal Son Bou Family Club. Unfortunately, the unstable weather we have makes this type of insect proliferate. Being surrounded by nature, control becomes more difficult. Even so, the hotel puts everything on its side to solve the situation. We apologize for the inconvenience. I’m puzzled by all the ecstatic 5 star reviews ... this place definitely has some positives - the Kikoland staff work hard, the pool is great and the food pretty good for an all inclusive. But it wasn’t what I’d call relaxing. Our one bed apartment was dark, small, hot and somewhat outdated. No view except a wall, and rather noisy. Very clean, but not somewhere we would want to spend any time in. Forget sleeping on the pull out bed in the lounge if you’re an adult, way too small and uncomfortable. The air con was fixed quickly, but we had to leave it on all day every day for it to be cool enough by night. The fridge was so loud, which is a problem for those sleeping in the lounge. The whole place feels claustrophobic, even lying by the pool, there’s nowhere to get away from the crowd and relax! We enjoyed some of the pool activities but it would be great to be able to escape to a quiet spot as an alternative, and that just doesn’t exist here. The beach is lovely but obviously very crowded in August, which is only to be expected. My kids, 8 and 6, enjoyed the pool and the games room, but weren’t that impressed by Kikoland despite best efforts from staff. Have to say that this may have been due to some of the other kids who weren’t that nice ... bad luck, perhaps ... and I have never come across so many entitled parents! Not everyone, of course - but some are so wrapped up in their own little darlings that they trample over everyone else. My 8 yr old daughter was actually elbowed out of the way at breakfast by a dad getting food for his child; it’s a bit of a bunfight at the buffet. Evening entertainment was generally quite fun - some of it was very good, some pretty awful - and be aware that if you want to head to bed with your little ones before it’s over, the shows are very loud so chances of sleep are slim. All in all, we won’t return as it’s too manic for us. We wanted a family-friendly holiday but here there are literally swarms of kids and it gets a bit much 24/7. Low point was an escaped poo in the pool. Highlights were swimming in the gorgeous, clear sea, eating from the fresh pasta bar, water polo and working our way through the cocktail list to drown our sorrows!

Dear family, We would like to thank you for choosing the Royal Son Bou Family Club for your family holiday! Unfortunately, did you not like the location and size of your apartment. To that we would like to say that there is always a possibility to change the apartment to another location inside the complex or to upgrade to a bigger apartment type. Also, if you are disturbed by the noise produce by the evening entertainment, we can look to find an apartment which is as far as possible from the stage area. We feel sorry for you if you didn’t find the relaxation you were looking for, but as a family hotel and being announced as the kid’s paradise we can get sometimes quite noisy and the high number of kids is also understandable. As low point you mentioned an escaped poo in the pool. We officially ask our guests to use bathing diapers and in case an accident happens, there is a strict protocol we follow which includes the temporally closing of the pool until the disinfection process allows us to reopen it without any risks for our clients. Unhappily you took already the decision to not return as it is to manic for you and we feel really sorry that we could not reach your expectations. Ester Rodríguez- Guest Relations Department
