Delighted with the suite which had modern decor and thankfully air con as we arrived in a heatwave. Almost everything you would need - a wee freezer compartment in the fridge for ice cubes would be a welcome addition. House keeper, Marta, kept everything spick and span - she’s a wee superstar. Lovely balcony area overlooking neighbouring farm - see if you can spot a tortoise! Nice spacious garden and pool area - spoiled by selfish guests reserving sunbeds and umbrellas with towels and then not actually using them - which is a shame as there were families at the pool who could have made use of them. Pools cleaned every day. Plenty of choice for breakfast - you can have your eggs cooked to order - fried, scrambled or an omelet. Would be nice if the guests made a bit of an effort and tried to order in Spanish - go on - give it a try - there’s a wee translation available. There’s a supermarket on site which we used a couple of times - handy if you haven’t hired a car - needless to say prices were cheaper in less touristy areas. Went to the pool bar on one evening got a pomada - no care taken in making or presenting this - it was gin served with the last of a large bottle of fizzy (flat) lemon in a straight glass with a straw - disappointing and expensive. A courtesy bus runs to and from the main beach, or you can walk to the less busy end - it takes about half an hour. Watch out for the horse 💩 and the giant pig.

The hotel itself is a little out of town from the centre of Son Bou. About a 20-25 minute walk along mostly flat pavements, although the hotel does provide a shuttle bus. Not an issue for us but I appreciate those with mobility issues or young children may find this to be an issue. Our apartment was spacious and well maintained and the bed comfortable. The only negative being that the double glazed windows didn't fit properly! Some were 'closed' by simply pushing them against the frame, the catch and lock not actually meeting. Not a problem for us on the third floor but I would suggest could be a security concern on the ground floor apartments... The grounds are beautiful and well maintained and whilst the pools were still a little too chilly to dip into during our stay in June, all were kept clean and well maintained. Breakfast was always a good mix of cereals, breads, cold meats, cheeses and cooked food. We stayed for a couple of evening meals which was buffet style and could be a little limited but still good quality food. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and always happy to help if needed. There is a supermarket on site selling local produce (including the wine and gin!) plus any essentials you may need to pick up. The 'town centre' of Son Bou is more a couple of busy roads with shops, restaurants and bars either side. There are the obligatory English and Irish bars if that's your thing but also a reasonable selections of local restaurants and a couple of bars - Buddha Lounge being both a lovely place to drink or to get a meal. The lovely 3km long beach also has a couple of beach-side restaurants at it's Son Bou end, Es Corb Mari being particularly good. I would happily recommend both this resort and the hotel, and hope to return at some point.

This place has a lot of plusses but unfortunately some minuses too Pluses The apartments are spacious and very comfortable The grounds are spacious and well kept Everything is clean Everyone is friendly There is a microwave in the dining area ( yes for me that’s a big plus- I cannot stand luke warm food— so I used this daily ) The minus’s :- It’s quite far out from centre and other bars/restaurants The air-con isn’t great The breakfast is quite good The dinner is limited in choice ( and sometimes amounts ) The Gluten Free options are very limited All in all this is a lovely place- but it is 20 minutes to walk to son bou or the beach. The entertainment is not great — everything stops at 10.30 pm. The apartments are well equipped and kept very clean. I think with a few tweaks it could be much better- they have no waiter service for drinks and often only one person serving so sometimes there was a queue- they have a lovely indoor bar but this was never opened so you could’ve then had a choice of being outside with the entertainment, inside or on the lovely veranda chilling. All in all a good holiday for us , we enjoyed the hotel but wouldn’t go back to this area as it is very hilly and needs some regeneration of businesses — there were many shops/restaurants closed, which was a shame.

What an amazing place. You have the beauty of both self catering and full hotel. This is great for fussy little eaters who prefer a snack in the room. Clean and friendly. Great courtesy shuttle bus to the beach/shops every hour. My son is 6 and has never agreed to any kids club before. This time he fell in love with the entertainers Ari and Nau. From day 1 they engaged with him and made him feel special. He went to the mini club almost every day because of them and enjoyed their company so much he was sad to leave because he wouldn’t be seeing them again. I want to congratulate the entertainment staff. They work so hard to entertain the children. Bravo. I have a feeling we will be coming back.
