The hotel was clean and the staff really friendly and helpful. There is all you can eat dinner every night for 12 Euros, which was really nice. Really cheeky that we have to pay 50 Euros for 7 days for air conditioning. If you need, you also have to pay for the fridge and the safe. The location is beautiful and there are really good restaurants near by.

Visited mid August. Hotel was very clean, saw the pool area cleaned every morning. Staff round the pool & in the restaurant were extremely friendly. Pool bar was reasonably priced with a large selection of drinks. Room was clearly one of the older ones and did not look like the more modern ones in the pictures. Shower was very small and the shower head was broken off the wall. Annoyingly had to pay for air conditioning (which we did not see advertised) - 50 euros for 7 nights which we felt was extortionate. You also had to pay for the safe and fridge but we did not bother after the air con. The breakfast was very good and had lots of option (both hot and cold). Staff made a lot of effort to keep things COVID safe (we never once saw the bar staff remove their mask throughout the day and evening). Good location. Overall I would recommend this hotel but feel aircon should be included in the overall price. rather than an extra.

We stayed here in the second week of September and had a great holiday despite a couple of gripes with the hotel. Upon arrival we were told that our booking had been cancelled, despite the fact that I had had confirmation via email a couple of days previously. This was pretty stressful having just arrived and took quite a while to sort out with no apology and not very good customer service. The superior sea view room we stayed in however, was great, with a super comfortable bed, modern and smart furnishings and a nice big balcony. The bathroom was fine, a bit dated and with very low lighting but did the job. However, being right underneath the breakfast terrace, we were disturbed every morning by the scraping of people's chairs at breakfast. The sea view from the breakfast terrace is very nice, but the breakfast itself is not great. There were some nice things like pastries and fresh fruit, but in general the quality is very low, with cheap machine coffee, cardboard type bread, the cheapest possible cereal and 'juice' which tastes like diluted sugar syrup. The pool area etc. is nice, but slightly ruined by very loud blaring rock music being played throughout the day. Upon checkout we were able to pay extra to keep our room until our flight which was at 7pm which was very helpful and meant we could spend the day on the beach before travelling. Overall, we enjoyed our stay but would probably try somewhere else next time.

Just returned from a excellent holiday at this hotel. Thought we would never get away this year, but just managed it. Can't praise this hotel enough for the professional and courteous way they have dealt with us. Clean comfortable rooms, Helpful and cheerful staff operating under extreme stress of this time. Food was generally good, occasionally excellent. My partner and I appreciate how we were able to unwind and enjoy a stress buster of a stay. Thankyou to all the people that make up the Hotel Contessa community, you have been great.
