Guests have often described Diana Palace as having a vibrant atmosphere, complete with Greek dancing and singalongs, although some mention the rooms could use a refresh. While the modern amenities, such as clean pools, are appreciated, the extra fees for air conditioning have been a point of contention. The hotel's staff receives accolades for their friendliness and diligence, though there are occasional remarks about service inconsistencies. Cleanliness is a clear strength, with travelers noting the well-kept facilities. The hotel's advantageous location garners praise for its convenience, yet the rooms are criticized for being cramped and dated.

COVID-19 has taken its toll on everything! The hotel’s safety measures are better than most places in England and the staff are trying their hardest in a very difficult situation.
Stathis and Markos are continuously smiling even though you can only see their eyes as they are fully masked at all times!!
There are things that could be improved especially in some of the older rooms. The all inclusive menu isn’t the best but definitely isn’t the worst I’ve had, could always find something to fill the plate!
The pools are clean and all the staff are working hard at all times, the cleaners do start very early and there is quite a bit of noise from their cupboards when they are getting the cleaning trolleys out.
In the current climate and for the money paid for a week, going out for a few meals to the local restaurants and bars is definitely within most people’s budget! Once again a big thank you to Markos for the whiskey and lemonades always served with a smile!

We were due to go on a family holiday to Majorca but then at last minute, our flights were cancelled. ( due to the uk flight bridges) With 4 packed suitcases and passports at the ready we searched the internet for any last minute deals, we stumbled across Zakynthos, which led us to Argassi, and to Diana palace.

When we arrived we were pleasantly surprised! The hotel and reception area had strict social distancing and sanitising stations in place. Masks were required in the reception area, and also in the dining hall. The staff on reception were fantastic. A quick and efficient check in, exactly what we wanted after a hot, early morning flight.

Our room was fantastically situated, just across from the pool with a small terrace area, overlooking cactus and aloe Vera plant gardens with little water feature fountains, stunning!

The rooms were basic but spotlessly clean. There was a tv and a hairdryer, we had 3 single beds although two were pushed together for myself and my husband and our 15yr old son claimed the other which was separated by a bedside table.

Plenty of drawers and hanging space, big enough bathroom, immaculately clean linen and towels. Plastic covering on the remote control, obviously changed after each guest and amazing air conditioning. So good that I woke trembling at night!

The pool area is the hub of the hotel, although the hotel was very under occupied there was a lovely buzz and atmosphere at the pool during the day!

The hotel entertainment was Ian, who entertained us with the afternoon pool quiz, from the comfort of your sun lounger or the pool! Such good fun, even if we failed to win! Then he moved on to the table tennis tournament! Ian was really lovely, full of knowledge, originally from the uk and has plenty of tips and advice if you require any!

We chose all inclusive and the daytime barman, stathis, was brilliant! From day one he remembered all of our names, what our preferred drinks were, and always had a smile, ( I think, behind his mask!) such a lovely helpful man! Five stars to stathis!

The location was brilliant! A short walk to the beach, plenty of snack areas, a big supermarket, selling pretty much everything! A fun bar two doors up from the hotel called The Beer Academy, nice place to drink, with plenty of big screens and five pool tables, a must for sports fans.

After our original holiday was cancelled we felt very unsure about booking another so randomly, I like to research and read reviews first, but I can honestly say we fell on a lucky gem! This hotel and location was perfect, the staff were all so friendly and hospitable, whilst staying there I actually forgot there was a pandemic! It was so relaxed and enjoyable, adhering to the guidelines of safety without it ruining your holiday! We will definitely be back.

Well done Diana palace!

We finally managed to get away to Zante through Jet2.
As for the hotel, firstly the downsides..
We (family of five) stayed in two standard rooms, the rooms themselves were basic with single beds, some storage and a bathroom, a shower head and curtain in the bath. I believe that the upgraded superior rooms were an improvement on the basic rooms! The main gripe for me was the air conditioning. It was only operational for a few hours per day, if you wanted it 24/7 it was 4 euros per day extra. I don't know whether this is the norm, but it really was not good when day temps were in the 30's and night temps only dropped a few degrees.
Now the good points, and there were plenty! The hotel was spotless, and they were taking the whole Covid thing seriously. Masks had to be worn in the public areas, the food was served to you rather than a buffet, The food itself was good, although it did become a bit repetitive after two weeks. The staff worked really hard....Stathis and Marcos ran the pool bar between them and both were very pleasant and by day 3 or 4 remembered our names and orders without us having to ask!
The pool areas were good, the top pool got very busy in the second week, and the age old problem of people reserving the loungers early in the morning was in evidence, and seeing as social distancing was in force there were fewer loungers anyway, so we spent most of our time at the bottom pool.
Some things were closed, the gym and spa treatments for example and the main bar.

Dear Simon, First I must say how happy I am that you managed to get away this summer and decided to spend your holiday with us at Diana Palace Hotel. Thank you for taking your time to share those memories with us. If I may, I would like to reply to your comment regarding the use of air-conditioning. The air-conditioning, has limited hours of free availability depending on the contract the agency that you have booked with has agreed with the hotel. Please note that all facilities including the use of AC are stated on the Jet2 website. I hope you had the chance to go through the descriptions and what is included in your package. For your information, if you book your stay directly with the hotel, you will not get any extra charges and everything is included in the price. Thank you for your kind comments regarding the cleanliness of our hotel and our attention to detail regarding our COVID-19 protocols. From day one our main priority was the safety of our guests and staff. The chef is delighted that you enjoyed the food and thank you for your positive comments regarding our hard working staff. It is still a mystery how Stathis and Marcos remember everyone's names and drinks! We take all feedback either positive or critical very seriously as it helps us improve for the future. Finally I would like to thank you for your understanding of the difficulties we all face at this time. We hope that by next year the world is back to normal and we do not have to implement any changes that may inconvenience our guests. We would love to welcome you back in the future but until then from all the family and staff at Diana Palace Hotel we wish you and your family good health and happiness.

After reading reviews the hotel was not what I expected obviously everyone has different views and expectations I did complain to the hotel regarding my concerns.
There is no way this should be a 4 star I’d say possibly a basic 3 star maybe lower.
The plus sides to hotel staff are lovely and hotel is clean. I believe we had an updated room which was ok to a 3 star level the location is fabulous the island is beautiful if eating and drinking outside of the hotel you are spoiled for choice
The downside I would say do not go all inclusive the food is a very small selection hardly any Greek cuisine breakfast soggy scrambled egg and tinned sausages. The drink is undrinkable the vodka being used is a cocktail mix I saw this first hand with my own eyes all mixers are flat and the orange (Fanta) has no orange taste, wine awful beer ok not the best I am not one that expects ultra all inclusive and branded drinks I expect local spirits etc this was not the case I am a drinker and I’m used to alcohol the bar staff and receptionist were made aware of this and admitted to using cocktail mix due to supplier issues I however managed to buy vodka and mixers from the shop opposite ?! I understand it’s difficult time’s for the whole world but it’s not way down there in price and I expect the service advertised as I to am in the middle of a pandemic. Diana group are a large group of hotels and if the small independent family run restaurants can get the food and drink right I’m sure this larger (£££££££) hotel group could also do the same
Towels are left on pool chairs from 8 in the morning sometimes there all day with no one returning the chairs are fixed to the floor so you cannot move them to direction of the sun. I was there 1 week not once were chairs around pool nor pool ladders etc cleaned ?? Masks are made to be worn in reception and restaurants
I paid to go all inclusive drank here first evening and second day ate out 6 days of 7 breakfast dinner and tea ? I informed hotel on day 2 and was given 4 days @45 euro back for changing to room only apparently day 7 does not account for a reduction even though we left at 20:00 from hotel ?
Would return to Zante unfortunately not to this hotel

Dear Y942HUtammyh Thank you for leaving your feedback and choosing Diana Palace Hotel. We are saddened to hear that we never met your expectations. If I may respond to your review for the benefit of yourself and other TripAdvisor readers. Firstly Diana Palace Hotel has an official 4-star rating, awarded from the Tourism authorities and major tour operators, it is not self awarded. Thank you dearly for your kind words about our staff, they are a credit to our hotel and we feel very proud of them. Also thank you for your kind words about how clean the hotel is. I would also like to thank you for pointing out how beautiful Argassi and Zakynthos island is. Regarding your comments about our food and beverages, I would like to point out that we offer many Greek dishes such as Mousaka, Pastitsio, Briam, Soutzoukakia, Giaxni, Kleftiko, Greek pies to name a few, as well as some international dishes and always accompanied with fresh and mixed salad choices and side dishes. Our 14-day menu is considered to be in the top line of 4-star hotels in Zakynthos. The alcoholic drinks are of fine quality with a lower percentage of alcohol and are local branded. The mixers are working properly and have been properly checked from our supplier’s official technician so as to have the correct amount of fizziness. All-inclusive soft drinks are of local production, they are advertised as domestic soft drinks. At this point, please allow me to mention that the local company we work with, supplies a big majority of all inclusive hotels in Greece. As far as the Vodka is concerned that you needed to check yourself, please let me inform you that cocktail mixer means that you can mix this Vodka in cocktails. With all due respect please allow me to say that in our hotels, the products we use are carefully selected and above all, there is transparency on how we treat our guests. There is no need to be suspicious about the Vodka. May I point out that we are not a large group of hotels but a family run business. We cooperate with tour agencies which give us a fixed price of the original price guests pay for their package and with this we must cover all needed costs. Most bog all, out pricing policy reflects value for money and this is something that is well known for our group. To cover for the shortcomings of what we receive we contribute more towards food and beverages that is afforded to us by tour agencies so as to add more value for our guests. What you describe in your review, do not reflect the way we operate whatsoever. Last but not least please let me inform you that our hotels are proudly among the very few businesses in the island that hold an HACCP certificate to ensure the safety and best quality of your dining experience. In regards to your comments about towels being left on the sun beds all day, our staff are informed to remove any towels left on reserved and unattended sun beds. This rule is upheld and to hear that sunbeds are reserved without anyone using them all day is very peculiar. Chairs were fixed to the floor for guests safety and to ensure strict government protocols of social distancing were adhered to. We disinfected all areas of the hotel on a regular basis, pool ladders provide a very low risk of possible cross contamination because our swimming pool is chlorinated daily and chlorine kills COVID-19. Nevertheless they are disinfected with steam cleaner along with the sunbeds. May I add that guests' health and safety are regarded as our top priority this season and this is reflected in all other TripAdvisor reviews and the success of our government audits for the protocol implementation. As far as the 45 euros per day compensation is concerned, please note that you got this money because you changed room type with lower value. This was not a compensation. Moreover check out from our hotel and most hotels are 11.00am on the final day however as a gift to our guests we allow All inclusive guests to stay All inclusive until their departure from the hotel at no extra costs. We take all reviews into serious account especially critical ones that are based on arguments within reason. We will do our best to spot in your review which comments reflect suggestions for improvement but I am afraid that not all reflect the reality and the way we do actually work. From all the family and staff at Diana Palace Hotel we wish you good health and happiness.

We stayed here for a week as our original holiday to
Majorca was cancelled. The hotel is in a nice area with bars, restaurants and shops with a little beach down the road. We had to pay for air conditioning as their air conditioning ‘time table’ was ridiculous, we also payed a fixed fee for the safety deposit box so was not refunded this amount. The room was clean and spacious for just the two of us yet the bathroom floor has a drainage cover that over flows and floods the bathroom if too much water goes through it such as a bath. The maids didn’t seem to do much apart from make the beds and empty the bins, they also came very early and woke us up every morning as their cupboard was on the corridor. Food is another story completely as it was disgraceful, cooked breakfast wasn’t great and was tasteless with not much choice. Dinner and tea seemed the same foods and didn’t have much variety throughout the time we were there, these meals were plain and not very nice so ended up spending money eating out. Fresh juice tasted like undiluted cordial and we’re unusually strong along with the other fresh drinks. All other drinks including alcoholic drinks were watered down and were tasteless. There wasn’t much entertainment, no music around the pool and no nightly entertainment - maybe because of Covid. Staff were lovely and were always polite and welcoming. Covid procedures seemed to be in place as masks were required indoor and outdoor and hand sanitizers were placed around the hotel, the sunbeds were strapped to the floor and there was floor markings in the reception and the buffet which was served by staff. Overall we wouldn’t stay here again all inclusive, if we stayed again we would have to eat out.

Returned back last week from 7 day all inclusive package that we booked last minute after a very stressful year. Firstly the hotel is definitely not 4 star, I would say 2/3 star the food is very poor and made with cheap ingredients we ate out most evenings and you have so much choice around the hotel all of the restaurants were fabulous however this incurred us with an extra cost due to hotel food not being great there was hardly any choice or variation and not much Greek cuisine. The drink is dreadful alcohol and fizzy drinks you would be ill if you drank the shorts for any amount of days I believe it was cocktail mix as another person holidaying at the same time had spotted this I did not drink there drink at all went out again drinks outside hotel all tasted great and the fantas colas all had some fizz unlike in the hotel. The rooms on the website are the white rooms they are new the majority of hotel have wooden rooms so old and dated. I did not see the pool chairs nor swimming pool ladders to pool etc cleaned the whole time I was there. Just one bar open with a lot of queuing especially at food time’s. All pool chairs gone by 8:15 many left for hours with no one on them. Hotel very clean inside and in restaurant area and the staff helpful the Greeks are known to be helpful and friendly would I recommend NO dis love the island and have booked to return to a different hotel in September

Dear Maria2clee, Thank you for adding your review on Diana Palace and for sharing your personal thoughts with us. We would like to thank you for your positive comments about our staff. It is very frustrating for us to see that our hotel did not match your needs. Please allow me to make some comments, so as to have TA readers informed properly. At Diana Palace, we do not advertise serving branded soft drinks. These are available at an extra charge. The alcoholic drinks are of fine quality with a lower percentage of alcohol and are local branded. The mixers are working properly and have been properly checked from our supplier’s official technician so as to have the correct amount of fizziness. All-inclusive soft drinks are of local production and are not advertised as Coca Cola, Fanta etc. They are advertised as domestic soft drinks. At this point, please allow me to mention that the local company we work with, supplies a big majority of AI hotels in Greece. Furthermore, our buffet and the variety we offer, value way more than the standard package price available to the tour operator pricing. In addition to this, we offer many Greek dishes such as Mousaka, Pastitsio, Briam, Soutzoukakia, Giaxni, Kleftiko, Greek pies to name a few, as well as some international dishes and always accompanied with fresh and mixed salad choices. Our 14-day menu is considered to be in the top line of 4-star hotels in Zakynthos. We regret that you were not among the vast majority of guests who congratulate us for what we offer. Of course, I can understand that taste is something subjective and for that, our chef is always there to assist our guests if they need something different so we can add to our menu. Also, we would like to make clear that Diana Palace has an official 4-star rating, awarded from the Tourism authorities and major tour operators, with criteria that are not relevant whatsoever to what you mention to your review. Lastly, I would like to inform you that sunbeds are disinfected every day during the closure of our swimming pools. This procedure is done properly and according to our health protocol. Thank you for going through our response and we are wishing you an enjoyable and safe winter back home.

Stayed here for a week all inclusive , after reading reviews before going and actually getting to the hotel , what a disappointment, our room was tiny , tired , very basic and hostel like , but we had a great view of the pool , we did ask to change rooms but only to one exactly the same , no point! No information about meal times in our room or from reception at check in , first impressions of the hotel was fairly clean , dated and bland looking , nothing blew me away, drinks at the bar , really dissatisfied, fizzy drinks were flat as pancakes , white wine awful , red wine drinkable , coffee and teas were ok for me , milk on its own , don’t know what that was but was like evaporated milk, no snacks like nuts or crisps to purchase at the bar , no drink list for all inclusive and cocktails were 3 euros each, beer was ok like a light beer!
You have to pay for air con in your room, don’t think our sheets were changed once , towels you don’t get fresh each day , for a 4 star I thought this standard. Food was basic , salads , chips , nice bread , potatoes , fish or chicken most evenings , one choice of veg , pasta most nights with sauce , sausages were horrid , bacon nice when crispy , fried eggs nice , scrambled egg , you would find something to eat but not of 4 star quality , french toast was nice, the best food I had one night was the lamb which I had a big plate of , watermelon and other fruit and ice creams , not much choice pudding wise.
Restaurant staff were friendly and very helpful and work hard , they sweat, as are the bar staff , only 1 bar open due to COVID but didn’t get that busy , all the staff wore masks at all times! Sun lounger , if you didn’t get down by 8am , which I didn’t, no chance of one , towels on all of them by 8am and couldn’t get one until about 4pm , when I did get one they were knackered and filthy and I didn’t see them get cleaned once , the best part of this hotel is the pool , small one , large one and kids pool , spent most of the time in the pool as so hot , plenty of seats around if can’t get lounger and to be fair they looked cleaner, I went out to eat/drink in Zante and found the cocktails lovely , this hotel is not a 4 star , and I won’t be returning ,was nice to get away but I would list this as my second worst hotel I’ve stayed in , and I’ve stayed in a few, if you stay in Argassi, find a 5 star hotel and avoid this hotel!

Dear Dorisdoutzen25, Thank you for adding your review on Diana Palace and for sharing your personal thoughts with us. We would like to thank you for your positive comments about our staff. It is very frustrating for us to see that our hotel services and accommodation did not match your expectations. Please allow me to make some comments on your review, to provide the correct information for our TA readers. First of all, we would like to make clear that Diana Palace has an official 4-star rating, awarded from the Tourism authorities and major tour operators, with criteria that are not relevant to what you mention to your review. We would like to point out that during the pandemic, our hotel operation has changed and we are not able to deliver our services at full because of the government protocol’s restrictions. At this point, please let me inform you that our health protocols are available online and at check-in, you are informed in writing about our procedures. We feel that it is unfair to put down the hotel for something that we cannot change and more than that when the hotel has used all means to inform guests prior to their arrival in regards to how the hotel operates during the pandemic ( room cleaning frequency, towel change, sun lounger cleaning procedure, buffet operation, etc.) For your information, please note that the all-inclusive program is available opposite the reception desk on the information board, where it also describes what products are available for this service. As far as the sunbeds are concerned, please note that we have available at our second pool. The disinfection of the sunbeds is taking place every day during the closing of the pool. We are not able to spray the sunbeds after each use because when people sit nearby they will be exposed to aerosols that can be hazardous. Lastly, please allow me to say that Diana palace is open to constructive feedback and always with good intentions; we are willing to change with the aim to keep our guests happy. However, when it comes to our health protocols during this pandemic, we are not flexible to change and we appreciate it when the majority of our guests understand how difficult this is and they fully show empathy and cooperation. We are very sorry to see that you were not among these guests. We are wishing you a safe time back home.

Having already had three holidays cancelled this year we finally got away between 5- 16th September , 11 nights of wall to wall sunshine at this well located and extremely well organised hotel.
We had trepidations relating to the pandemic and also in relation to a raft of negative reviews which emanated just prior to departure, i did consider long and hard as to whether i should try to change hotel but thankfully decided to see first hand and so glad we did.
Like all seasoned travellers i did some research and made a room request prior to travel and we were allocated as requested. A nice clean room with ample space and good balcony with an aspect to our liking . 24 hour a/c was at a supplement of 4 euros per night and well worth it. Instead of central control you are issued with a programmer handset and if you leave one of your cards in the room you return to a very chilled room.
The procedural arrangements throughout the hotel with respects to Covid 19 are to be admired and whilst some seem to find the resulting limitations caused by this in the dining areas etc as a need for negativity , we were extremely thankful for the efforts that were made in order for us to feel safe and be as safe as was possible.
The food is fine and plentiful and the drinks were the normal a/i standard. We found the beer was good and the gin also.
What was outstanding was the staff in the dining area and in particular the two barmen Markos and Stathis who were tremendous.
We attended the local tavernas on a few occasions and also the local bars. This was partly due to some of the restrictions in the hotel but equally we probably would have gone out as much anyway as any a/i becomes a bit samey after a few days.
In conclusion a very good 4* hotel with exceptional staff. Difficult to rate the a/i package as there were restrictions but it seemed to us that under normal times this must be a cracking place. The room although standard was more than adequate and i dont believe the upgrade to superior at the prices quoted is worth the money.
We are active OAP's who have travelled extensively across the World over the years and still enjoy a number of holidays each year and often vary the standard of accommodations we choose and this Hotel measures favourably with other 4* all inclusive Mediterranean Hotels and it is difficult to understand the validity of the negative reviews other than to come to the conclusion that they must emanate from people that expect to pay 4* star prices and expect / demand 5* accommodation and facilities or simply from people that haven't quite got to terms with the fact that the World pandemic has come at a cost to all our lives and changes have had to be made. Well done all at the hotel 5* staff.

i arrived in the afternoon, after a pleasant flight with Easyjet, and as I was the only client for Diana Palace they laid on a taxi for me, which was a pleasant surprise. I was greeted at the reception by a very pleasant young man and lady, who explained everything and helped me with my luggage to my room. I entered the room and found it spotlessly clean and cosy. As it was lunchtime and being up since 0300 and being ravenous. It was explained that lunchtime was a buffet and was served outdoors which suited me fine as it was very warm for a Scot! I was told that the etiquette was to wear a mask and use a plastic glove whilst handling the serving utensils, and when sat down the mask could be removed.
After lunch I went to the pool bar, which I found out later was the only bar available, but that wasn't a problem, as the Bar Manager Stathis was the most engaging, funny and joy to converse with. Throughout the week I got to know Stathis a lot better and he was the font of all knowledge, I was starting to think I had found the Greek Google! I planned an outing on the Monday to the shipwreck and the young lady at reception was so helpful trying to get through to the company, I had booked with, but with her perseverance it was all sorted out and I had a brilliant day. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel to any one visiting Argassi. On another note I ommitted to say was a big thanks to the cleaning staff and all the catering staff, who were all outstanding in their own fields.

Hotel staff and location was brilliant. Hotel food and drinks were a disgrace, we ate out most days. No sunbeds around adult pool after 7.45 am, couples would then have to use children's pool if any sunbeds left, we had no children was not fair on families, we had to go to beach bars and use their sunbeds. The 'dining room' was basic, no table cloths and it was like school canteen no atmosphere, no bottles of wine, limited poor quality food choices. No snacks available during the day. Only pool bar open throughout out 2 weeks. Cut backs and cost savings were obvious and we would recommend self catering to anyone thinking of going.

Dear suzannemO5276UO, Thank you for taking your time to share your review with us and thank you for choosing Diana Palace Hotel for your summer holiday. I would also like to thank you for naming our staff and location as brilliant. However I am a little distressed to hear how you labelled our food and drink. I would like to state that we offer a wide variety of Greek and international dishes to cover for every taste we also offer a wide selection of salads and desserts. Our food and drink is in the top bracket of 4 star hotels on Zakynthos island. Our Maitre is always on hand to help guests with their food choice and to speak to the chef to see if we can offer other options to appease our guests. Moreover we use the same local supplier for our beverages as the majority of other all inclusive hotels in Greece. Regarding the decor in the restaurant we had to keep items such as table cloths to a minimum to prevent the risk of cross contamination during a pandemic. Of course we do provide labeled wines with extra charge. All you had to do was to ask our staff to assist you. We take all feedback seriously into consideration. We would love to welcome you back again one day under better circumstances. Until that day all the family, staff and I wish you good health and happiness.
