Friendly staff, clean hotel but dated
We stayed at Mimoza beach for 5 days in June 2022, when we arrived the staff were very welcoming and lovely! The room was very basic, no extra decor or fancy gadgets. It was very standard and very dated however it was very clean and that’s all that mattered to us. A lick of paint would really make such a difference! We could see the sea from our window which was lovely to wake up too. We did have to pay €6 a night for aircon which I think should come standard as when we got into the room it read 27 degrees at 10pm.. it was impossible to sleep in The shower was really small in double room, if you’re a larger person I don’t think you’d be able to use this efficiently. It was fine for me and my friend but we are pretty small. The food was very basic but cooked well, there was a small selection of hot breakfast food like eggs, bacon, beans and toast plus continental and fruit. They alternated the days so you didn’t get all of these on one day. They had coffee/tea and cold drinks too. Location was great if you’re wanting to stay in the quieter area, the strip was close, very tame with pubs and bars. No clubs, things started to get quiet at around 11pm. For food, we went to Apollo restaurant directly over the road from the hotel which was amazing. The food was always great and the staff are wonderful! We had so much fun here, eating, chilling and playing pool in the evenings. We ate here every lunch time, it was that good! If you’re looking for a standard room in a quiet area for relaxing around the pool, this place will be perfect for you! Thank you for having us, we had a blast! :)

    Lovely hotel
We visited as a couple in June/July. We stayed in a sea view bungalow and WOW what a view!! The bungalow was newly renovated and nice & clean! The air con was amazing! The room lacked space for clothes, however, it could really do with drawers and more space for putting clothes away as we lived out of the case for a week due to lack of space. Bathroom was small but shower was lovely and the shower head was a monsoon shower head which is always a lovely touch! The pool is nice, could probably do with being cleaned properly daily though as it does collect some grime along the edges as all pools do. This hotel is directly on the sea front which was so lovely as it was sooo hot we cooled off in the sea lots! I love a hotel breakfast but I really struggled with the one at the Mimoza. It just wasn’t great. There’s choice, however, nothing was outstanding, it was all a bit plain and I struggled filling my plate to be honest which was a real shame! Bungalows could really do with a little kitchenette area. Staying here, you are self catering and there’s nowhere to prepare lunch should you wish to. On day one we were told we weren’t allowed to take our own drinks to the pool - not even bottles of water - unless it had been bought at the pool bar - which we didn’t think was good as we’d paid to stay at the hotel!! Argassi is small and there’s not an awful lot there, probably enough for a week’s holiday, but we prefer Tsilivi as there’s much more to do. Staff were friendly, especially the lady at reception and Alexandra at the pool bar, towards the end of the holiday she started to thaw! All in all, we enjoyed our stay and we would recommend it and if we were to go to Argassi again, we would stay at the Mimoza. For the views alone over the sea across to the mainland, it’s worth it.
Dear Guest, Thank you for sharing your experience of staying with us. We'll consider some of your points for any future improvement. Hope to see you again on a future opportunity. Cheers

    A little disappointing
First the good points, nice pool, plenty of sun beds around the pool and under the trees, very clean. The bungalows in the grounds are modern and comfortable. We had a room in the main hotel which is very dated, large room but rather drab. A big patch on the ceiling above the bed that needed painting over, very dim lighting, a large crack in the was basin and the pedal bin at the side of the toilet was cracked and you had to lift the lid with your hand! The bed was very uncomfortable we both woke up aching all over every morning. Although it is advertised as free safety deposit box and free air con, we got an email a few days before we went to say that we would be charged €2 a day for the safety deposit box and €6 a day air con!! Quite a lot of the paving was dangerous, loose, sunken and lifted, definite trip hazards, also the toilet floor in the grounds was always swimming in water. There is no beach the sea comes up to the hotel grounds, it is shallow and safe and you can walk a long way out before it gets deep. Very convenient for all the bars and restaurants.

This hotel could be a lot better if some Money was spent on it ,path down to the sea very uneven and is a trip hazard ,can’t call it a Beach as there isn’t one ,gutters above our balcony brackets were broken resulting in rain overflows and floods balcony ,shower curtain. Curtain bottom was filthy ,we had a double bed and two single sheets one pillow each with one Cushion each ,no hot water at 6am but plenty at 7am and rest of day only bar was pool bar ,no restaurant but plenty on road outside ,artex falling off ceiling marking our belongings apart from that air con was 7 euros a night and was a blessing plenty food at breakfast and of good quality staff very friendly and helpful , this hotel is rated at four and a half stars more like two but could be 5 star with proper investment

I had a wonderful 3 night stay and came with the sole purpose to indulge my passion for sea swimming. I was not disappointed, the room was large with a lovely balcony looking towards the sea and Zakynthos town across the bay. The grounds are beautiful with several bungalows for guests to stay in. The pool was standard but claen and positioned for great views out to sea. Some reviews mention no beach, there is its just underwater! Shallow sand for about 200m until deeper water with sand and sea grass. The grounds are quiet, relaxing with lots of loungers which were never full. The breakfast is basic but adequate to fill up for a full days swimming /activity. The beauty of the mimoza beach hotel is it's not swamped by the chaos of mass tourism and noise of larger complexes. An oasis of calm and at the far south end of the Agrassi strip. Lots of good restaurants to eat in made for a great few days. The mimoza staff are welcoming and very accommodating. One point Beware hawking taxi drivers,(overpriced). I attis at the government approved taxi rank for a 20euro ride back to the airport and had hawkers stopping. I mistakingly got into one thinking it was an approved one as it was silver, had the sane plate prefix and therefore had all the hallmarks of a government taxi 5km and 30euro thank you very much. Well the good, bad, & ugly !! First the GOOD, Had a lovely relaxing 7 days at this ONCE possibly 5 star hotel. The staff were friendly and as helpful they could be. The pool bar staff were amazing looking after every need. We had a wonderful relaxing break. Our room was basic, but functional and was cleaned and fresh towels daily. We were 50 meters from the sea front with beautiful sea views. This was even bettered by watching the owls and wildlife in the evenings and the sun set. The BAD, They have a lovey bar in the reception area CLOSED!!! A beautiful restaurant which only does breakfast !! The UGLY, The walkways and some areas lack maintenance resulting in a bad fall for my disabled wife. When we reported it to the management we were told to be careful !!! The whole of the grounds need to be upgraded and if you have a mobility issue please be aware when moving around the grounds can be difficult. In our opinion, run by a non friendly management team who rarely made any effort to communicate with the guests and obviously relied on their staff to be friendly to the guests. It’s such a shame as the hotel could be amazing if some care and money was spent on it . We would be really happy to return if the grounds were upgraded.

Where is the beach ! Older hotel but in good condition interesting lay out that works well and with newer bungalows in the grounds givers a wide selection of accommodation. The grounds had plenty of sun beds and the pool area and a large grassed area led down to the sea. Now that where I have an issue, the name of the hotel implying that there is a beach there is not. Indeed there are several establishments in Argassi use the word Beach in their titles and believe me there is no beach. We had a large room on the first floor, with double and a single bed leading out to a huge balcony with a staircase down to the pool / bar area. Bathroom well equipped with bath / shower etc. The room was serviced every day with clean towels, cleaning very good. All staff were very attentive. I was put out that I was expected to pay extra for Air Con but on insisting the AC was in the web facility's list without any mention of a supplement management relented. But charging 2Euros a day for the use of the room safe is a very picky. Breakfast was ok with an amount of continental and some cooked. There is a snacks and bar at the pool side, but no restaurant. Not a problem as there were plenty of choices just along the road outside. All in all would we stay there again nice hotel but no only because of the lac of a descent beach.

Visited with another couple for two weeks. Smooth check in with friendly staff. Allocated room 111 which overlooked pool and had sea view. Room had plenty of storage space and bed was comfortable. Room was cleaned and towels replaced in a regular basis. Hotel is one of the earlier buildings in the area and us traditionally designed with interesting art works in public areas. We booked bed and breakfast and a mix of hot and cold dishes were available. Alexandra ran the pool bar and was really helpful and friendly and made sure we were taken care of during our stay. The hotel is well placed for bars and restaurants and the land train stops just outside. The staff are friendly and always happy to help with any issues. While we were there the owners held a wedding reception in the main dining area and all hotel guests were invited. We were made to feel really welcome and had a fantastic night. Enjoyed our stay and hope to return in the future.

We were left very disappointed by the Mimoza . Despite what other reviews have put , the buffet breakfast was appalling. Very little choice , very little quantity and generally cold . I have attached a photo also of the condiments that was on the breakfast table 🤢 We regularly went across the road to a bar and bought a breakfast rather than eat at the hotel even though we had paid for breakfast The beach bar was high priced but I must say good choice . However the young dark haired girl that worked there was so miserable and unhelpful. The staff did change to a guy who was just the opposite, very pleasant . The pool walls were dirty and have algae visible to see around the edge . Steps must have been removed at one time , but holes are just left on the ground , easy to trip over . The room !,, We found the room very dull and dismal. The bathroom was disgusting. The shower curtain was only just being held up by the rail , which had obviously come down previously , the holes in the wall gave that away .Probably because it was so small you dare not move . The curtain was mouldy , as well as mould around the base . Broken light in the bathroom also . In one on the wardrobes was filthy splatters of a liquid, which I don’t want to know what it was . So we just used one wardrobe. It’s such a shame as the hotel could be amazing if some care and money was spent on it .

We enjoyed our 10 nights stay here, great location plenty of lovely restaurants and bars and stunning views. Would recommend hiring beach buggy to explore the beautiful island. Big thank you to the receptionists Lucretia and Joanna who were always so helpful and happy and gave great advice where to visit. Cocktails were lovely at snack bar made by Andreos and Alexandra who were great company and good service. We would definitely come back.

This hotel is a 3* very large complex with lots going for it. We learnt from a local lad that this was one of the very first hotels to open in Argassi. Yes it does need upgrading but whatever is lacking in rooms or general upkeep is made up by the staff here giving 110%. They want their guests to be happy, if you're not, speak to reception and they will try their upmost to accommodate your needs.(Katia and Lucrecia...thank you 💖) We were so worried by some negative reviews on this site but my advice is just get here ! Judge for yourself and enjoy. Our room (42) was in a great position, by the sea and quiet at night. We'd booked a deluxe double room with sea view with Jet2, it had been renovated to a good standard. We found we hadn't enough drawer space which was immediately rectified by reception. Marietta kept our room clean and we had sheets and towels changed every 2 days. For those who complained about breakfast, I can honestly say there was always something we could eat and we never left our table feeling hungry, local food and plenty of it served by lovely ladies. A three year renovation programme will make this oasis way out of our league if it gets more stars so we're so glad we managed to spend 2 weeks in the glorious Greek sunshine this year at the Mimoza Beach Hotel.
