The hotel building is very dated and needs an upgrade. Basic but clean.
Shower facilities poor and no hot water in our room between 6-7pm.
You have to pay €2 per day for safety deposit box in the office and €7 per day for air con.
Breakfast is not extensive but caters to all nationalities. Staff were helpful.
You can walk off the grounds straight into the sea. However no beach.
The bungalows appear much more modern.
We could see the sea from our window which was lovely to wake up too. We did have to pay €6 a night for aircon which I think should come standard as when we got into the room it read 27 degrees at 10pm.. it was impossible to sleep in
The shower was really small in double room, if you’re a larger person I don’t think you’d be able to use this efficiently. It was fine for me and my friend but we are pretty small.
The food was very basic but cooked well, there was a small selection of hot breakfast food like eggs, bacon, beans and toast plus continental and fruit. They alternated the days so you didn’t get all of these on one day. They had coffee/tea and cold drinks too.
Location was great if you’re wanting to stay in the quieter area, the strip was close, very tame with pubs and bars. No clubs, things started to get quiet at around 11pm.
For food, we went to Apollo restaurant directly over the road from the hotel which was amazing. The food was always great and the staff are wonderful! We had so much fun here, eating, chilling and playing pool in the evenings. We ate here every lunch time, it was that good!
If you’re looking for a standard room in a quiet area for relaxing around the pool, this place will be perfect for you!
Thank you for having us, we had a blast! :)
The pool is very quite no loud music,
You could get sunbed at any time of the day.
There is no beach but there are steps down to the sea.
You have a charge for the safe and air con which was needed. Towels are changed every day, the hotel is spotless.
Be careful going down the steps in the pool, as they are really slippy.
This hotel could be so much better, the bathrooms need updating and the snack bar had more variety.
We will be back.
Very convenient for all the bars and restaurants.

The pool is nice, could probably do with being cleaned properly daily though as it does collect some grime along the edges as all pools do. This hotel is directly on the sea front which was so lovely as it was sooo hot we cooled off in the sea lots!
I love a hotel breakfast but I really struggled with the one at the Mimoza. It just wasn’t great. There’s choice, however, nothing was outstanding, it was all a bit plain and I struggled filling my plate to be honest which was a real shame!
Bungalows could really do with a little kitchenette area. Staying here, you are self catering and there’s nowhere to prepare lunch should you wish to.
On day one we were told we weren’t allowed to take our own drinks to the pool - not even bottles of water - unless it had been bought at the pool bar - which we didn’t think was good as we’d paid to stay at the hotel!!
Argassi is small and there’s not an awful lot there, probably enough for a week’s holiday, but we prefer Tsilivi as there’s much more to do.
Staff were friendly, especially the lady at reception and Alexandra at the pool bar, towards the end of the holiday she started to thaw!
All in all, we enjoyed our stay and we would recommend it and if we were to go to Argassi again, we would stay at the Mimoza. For the views alone over the sea across to the mainland, it’s worth it.
This review should be read in two parts, however, the review is based on our experience on booking a package holiday with jet2. Should you be considering the same-stop and read on! The pictures being portrayed by Jet2 bear no resemblance to the type of room that you are greeted with when opening the door. The rooms are very dated. The only similarity to the jet2 advert is that it did have a sea view. Air con is extra @ 6.0 euros per day. And we had to request a kettle although you don’t have a safe place to boil water. I didn’t realise you could get fridges smaller that those found in touring caravans but you can here. We did not hear any traffic noise due to fridge making so much noise.
The rooms have no wardrobes as such, a hanging rail with curtain is as close as you get. Limited draw storage my two weeks were spent living from a suitcase. The room safe is great for storing iPhone pro but noting larger.
Access to this room from the man lobby is terrible uneven surfaces with grasses growing between, then have to negotiate uneven steps to over come a boundary wall and finally back to uneven broken concrete. Great if your an ibex but not so good when you are carrying suitcases.
The Buffet breakfast also was disappointing, fried eggs, bacon, beans, 4 cold meats, bread & butter, two yogurts, jam and honey, oh and a toaster of sorts.
A coffee machine, however, the water isn’t hot enough to make tea so it’s like drinking stewed tea. For a good breakfast opposite is Legends at around 6 euros.
All the staff are very polite and efficient. The room maid was excellent but no amount of spit and polish could revive our room. Maid service only goes as far as making beds emptying bins, cleaning floors but does not include washing cups out and resetting.
The grounds and gardens are a disgrace, it’s a real shame as this place could be magical as it has a large water frontage and views to die for.
I can only rate this experiance as 2 star based on that if mimosa is happy for jet2 to mislead customers in this way then they are also culpable.
The newer accommodation that’s advertised in the jet 2 brochure is very nice, modern well laid out and spacious. Therefore, either book direct or seek clarification from the hotel on the actual room type being offered by the travel company before parting with that hard earned cash. In the case of jet2 customers you re being misled

Ultimately, with great difficulty, I was able to arrange something with the hotel for a new room after a few days. But we still don't understand why room 101 is called a 'room'. See attached exterior view of what kind of corner we were tucked away in.
See also comparison photo of the terrace. This was one of the reasons we chose this hotel, because it looked so cozy. This turned out not to exist upon arrival.
Moreover, the staff was regularly grumpy and very unfriendly. One evening I went to get an extra pillow from reception. The girl sighed deeply and asked, "Do you really need this pillow now?" Because I was just about to go home... I was dumbfounded. You can't do that to your guests, can you?
You are also not greeted by the staff when you walk past the reception. This also applies to the person who provides breakfast. Nobody says anything.
All this made us experience Mimoza Beach as a chilly place.

The grounds are beautiful with several bungalows for guests to stay in. The pool was standard but claen and positioned for great views out to sea.
Some reviews mention no beach, there is its just underwater! Shallow sand for about 200m until deeper water with sand and sea grass.
The grounds are quiet, relaxing with lots of loungers which were never full.
The breakfast is basic but adequate to fill up for a full days swimming /activity. The beauty of the mimoza beach hotel is it's not swamped by the chaos of mass tourism and noise of larger complexes. An oasis of calm and at the far south end of the Agrassi strip. Lots of good restaurants to eat in made for a great few days. The mimoza staff are welcoming and very accommodating.
One point Beware hawking taxi drivers,(overpriced). I attis at the government approved taxi rank for a 20euro ride back to the airport and had hawkers stopping. I mistakingly got into one thinking it was an approved one as it was silver, had the sane plate prefix and therefore had all the hallmarks of a government taxi 5km and 30euro thank you very much.
